A few years ago, I felt a sudden change in this timeline.
“Yeah, it's strange, my lord. It doesn't feel the same as it used to,” said the spirit I made, Ula. Her voice echoed in the space of my mind’s world.
Creating life takes huge amounts of energy. But, due to her being restricted to only my mind’s world, the space within a conscious being's soul, the cost became significantly cheaper that the now-weak me can afford.
I made Ula a long time ago after I got sealed away.
An appearance of ice, colored entirely in white with shades of gray where the shadow should be, and black lines making her face which wore a short haircut.
Sitting on a throne of some imaginary medieval castle inside my mind, was her idea. talking with her helped preserve my sanity.
Ever since I got imprisoned I lost all memories of before I came to this timeline, but, I seem to have killed a lot.
The feeling this timeline radiates is distorted. I can’t remember it. My memories are foggy, too foggy to recall, hurts to recall. But this timeline, it shouldn't feel like this.
‘It's confusing.’
“Are you okay, my lord? You look pained. That, and the state your world is in…”
The world around us had distorted and started caving in…
Creakㅡ
The enormous castle walls, outlined with vivid shaking, started moving, creating an ear-scraping sound whilst caving in.
“Ah…”
The scene of walls caving in feels weirdly calming. But, even then, this anxiousness still ate away at me.
'What was I doing in the outside world? why am I sealed?!’
"My lord?!"
"Hu…"
Kreeㅡ
The walls which were caving in before slowed down and expanded once again as I regained my focus.
"That was a bit scary," said Ula.
"Sorry about that."
A mind’s world is something a bit more unique than a domain that manifests itself in the physical realm.
It is a world that requires a calm mind and concentration, but once established, it is a dimensional realm that exists everywhere yet nowhere. A realm where the user reigns supreme.
And for that very reason, very few can maintain it even for short periods of time, much less keep living beings inside.
‘Something changed.’
What brings me the most shame is my inability to remember why am I sealed. It wasn't like this before, and it definitely has to do with why I lost my memories.
'I had been planning for revenge ever since, but this makes things a bit more complicated.'
This doesn’t seem to be the reality I’m familiar with… yet, it’s a good change for me.
I'll have to check for what changed once I get out, but, this could be how I turn the tides in my favor. I'll have to keep trying to unseal myself-
Kaboomㅡ!
The sound of an explosion rang, and the white scenery in my mind’s world began to distort.
“what’s happening?!”
My world shook as a deafening sound rang and the world faded into darkness.
“It should show on the walls in a second!”
The seal outside of my world I'm but a prisoner to was getting attacked, but the thing is… the seal is directly on my body… I was getting attacked.
The darkness around us slowly showed the scene of a man. The man kept casting spells toward my physical body, and my mind's world, unable to respond to the rapid changes, began to change to reflect the state my physical body is in.
Crackㅡ!
Spell after spell, the man kept casting.
“Shouldn’t your physical body be hidden?! how can he see it!”
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Crackㅡ!
The man kept casting.
“I don’t know!”
'My body shouldn’t be visible to anyone, I spent every last bit of my mana hiding it!'
Crackㅡ!
"Is the seal that weak for a human to break it?!"
"No! Most gods would be troubled trying to find it, let alone break it!"
Cracks keep forming and spreading throughout my mind’s world, slowly turning into shards just to fall onto the ground.
Crackㅡ!
Every time I forced the cracks to close, more formed. And as the man kept casting, the ground in return began to heat up.
The shards fell from the cracks in the ceiling, engulfed by flames from the man's spells, seemingly trying to forcefully break my mind's world.
Shzzzㅡ!
The heated-up world began to melt in an attempt to devour us as my shoes sizzled unharmed. But, that couldn't be said for both of us.
Shhhhhㅡ!
Ula is a native of my mind's world, any changes would affect her because this world to her is her real world. Her shoes quickly caught fire and started melting slowly.
'I wanted to wait longer and gather info about the attacker, but it seems I don't have much time left.'
As a life form born in a mind's world, Ula's reality is this world I reign ownership of.
"Uhhh, not much time left here! Do something!" Yelled Ula in fear.
'Whenever I patch it, more of it breaks. But, that'd mean I'd have to cancel it, throwing Ula into a void in the process…'
A mind's world owner reigns supreme within the boundaries of their world. But, the owner isn't teleported to another reality, they instead work as a portal linking reality and their mind's world.
But, its weakness is none other than the threat anyone outside it can impose.
"Aghh, I guess I can't delay this any longer! Listen carefully, I don't have time to repeat this."
Shhhhhㅡ!
The flames shone brighter, and the fire grew and grew as it devoured all that it caught.
"My world is damaged beyond repair as of now. But, I'll find a way to fix it!"
Shhhhhㅡ!
Ula's shoes stopped sizzling and her figure began to catch fire, her ice-cold expression began to shift into nervousness when confronted with death.
"When I leave, the world would break. And you'd be thrown into a void, but no matter what, do not move! Do not try to swim in that empty void! It might take days, months, or even years. But do not move-"
In a world with no senses; where you can't feel your sense of touch, hearing, smell, or vision, where there's but your consciousness, where you're robbed of your ability to dieㅡ
Crashㅡ!
The sky fell crashing into the ground and the world turned black.
ㅡI pray that you're able to survive long enough for me to return.

Dripㅡ!
"Mmmm…"
My light slowly came back as I regained consciousness.
Dripㅡ!
"Ughh…"
"...!" I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling.
An unfamiliar wooden ceiling came to view as the sound of liquid reached my ears.
'It's not on fire, and it's raining. Wait…'
I couldn't but notice the change in temperature from the last time I was conscious. no flames in sight.
"Raining?"
What I last saw was Ula engulfed by flames before I had to cancel my world because of that man's barrage of spells.
'How long has it been out for?'
Unfortunately, there was no clock to be found, although I doubt it'd even work.
A small crowded house. From the dimensions of this room, it appears to be one. a bed, a closet, and wooden flooring.
Chunks of debris scattered everywhere on the ground, only a single look would suffice to show how old this place was.
'Tucked in a bed while it's raining outside…'
"I'm finally out, huh."
The sensation in my arms, legs, and difficulty in opening my eyes after such a long time. How long has it been? I couldn't help but grin when I looked out of the window facing my bed.
"This will be interesting."
The vivid sensation of a creepy smile being drawn on my face.
'That man. from attacking me, to destroying my mind's world, to freeing me.'
The only reason for me being here, alive, and tucked into a bed at that, is because of that weird man.
It hasn't been that long since he left, as evident by the wooden floor still wet with his footsteps showing clear as day. The footprints from his shoes showed that he was pretty tall.
The window showing the contents of the outside world displayed a forest being showered in rain and moonlight.
Creakㅡ!
‘I have to start figuring out what to do now. But…’
The bed I was tucked in creaked as I got up to find where I was while quickly glancing at my surroundings.
Standing facing the window, the scent of the tall pine forest trees ran through my nostrils, the old wooden floor cried under pressure, the night’s cold wind touched my skin accompanied by the rain droplets hitting my face, my joints after so much time joyfully moved.
the pleasure of stretching after a slumber made me shiver in happiness as it finally hit me.
‘It should be alright to stay like this for a little while longer.’
I… I am…
“I am finally out.”
