Chapter 4: Family And Realising What One Must Do

After running for 10 minutes Lexo arrived at his home. It was a white 2 story house with a medium front garden in an urban neighborhood.

I finally arrived! Now I probably have to listen to their stupid problems.. Which I don't feel like doing right now.

My family is mostly working in the financial world as I have tons of family members that are economists or accountants.

Lexo walked up to the entrance and took his keys and opened the door. In front of Lexo was a long hallway with on the left was the kitchen, on right side were the stairs to the 2nd floor, a bathroom and storage room, which also had an entrance to the basement. At the end of the hallway was the living room. All the bedrooms were upstairs.

Lexo walked past the kitchen and heard someone complaining.

"Man, I fucking hate this I already sent 10 damn job aplications and still no answer! And all of them ask at least 2 years of experience, but that shit doesn't make sense as I only have the 3 months from my intersternship how the fuck do they expect me to meet their unrealistic requirments!"

Lexo walked into the kitchen.

"Hey bro, trouble with finding a job?" Lexo greeted him.

"Hey loser and I don't want to talk about it with you." He replied.

This asshole is Genzo Reign, my 22 year old brother who just finished his college.

He had blond hair and brown eyes and was wearing a black T-shirt with the abbreviation gtfo on it, acommennied with some basic blue jeans.

"So where is dad?" Lexo asked.

"You know the workaholic, he doesn't go home during his break anymore and works hella overtime. Ever since he got the chance to get a promotion the man has gone crazy. A promotion at PWC is a big deal, imagine the money they make. They are one of the big four after all. Plus dad is thinking about buying an apartment close to the company.. so yeah." Genzo answered.

"Oh I see." Lexo replied.

Genzo noticed something.

"Dude what the fuck happened to your clothes." Genzo wondered.

Another man in his forties walked into the kitchen, he had short brown hair with dark brown eyes with bags under them wearing a black suit accompanied with a red tie.

"I guess he entered his rebellious phase." He said.

"Oh please Uncle James, this shrimp.. HAH! He is probably getting bullied, well I won't protect your booty. How about you go to the gym for some change and learn a fighting sport. Like judo, karate, taekwondo whatever the fuck gives you the power to kick ass." Genzo replied.

"Lexo, your brother is an absolute jackass. He is 100% right on this one." James backed up.

You people don't even know what happened to me!

"Finally we agree on something old man." Genzo said.

"I am 41! Jobless bastard." James cursed.

"Hey! That's low!" Genzo commented.

"Now changing the subject it seems you have troubles with the working experience. You can always get the hell outta here and work under the senpai-kouhai system." James explained.

"Sen.. what? Do I look like I speak any type of Asian language?" Genzo replied with an irritated tone.

"Huuu… Look, the senpai-kouhai system is used in Japan where an experienced coworker will show you the ropes in the company and help you grow. Kinda like a mentor and next year you will teach the new guy.” James answered.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

“Uncle, Japan is on the other side of the world. Why in the actual fuck would I ever go there?!” Genzo said aggressively.

“Then you have no other choice, but to accept the western system. I mean you legit passed your Business Administration A.A.S with the minimum GPA of course they are reluctant on taking you.” James argued.

“It’s not my fault that society forces me to contribute and work in an area that I don’t even like. It was this or flipping burgers at McDonalds. The choice is obviously right. And Uncle where the hell did you get that info from.” Genzo replied.

“Listen, I like to research the work cultures of the companies I invest in.” James clarified.

Yeah Uncle James is pretty much into stocks and trading and has made a lot of money with it apart from being a economist.

“Anyway, Uncle I wanna listen to your shit anymore, so go watch some Bloomberg!” Genzo said, pointing his finger at the entrance.

“Okay, okay I'll go. Hehe time to see what’s going on in the financial world and hopefully my stock values will rise! hahah.”

James walked out of the kitchen.

“And you too, shrimp”

“Excuse me bro, do you want to get punched?” Lexo threatened.

“Ha you fucking weakling your punches never hurt me. I’ll even put my upper arm for ya, give me all ya got trash.” Genzo taunted.

James walked back into the kitchen.

“No swearing in this Cristian household!” James exclaimed.

“Uncle we’re atheists….” Genzo replied with a dry face.

“That’s the joke you moron!” James shouted.

“How many times do I have to remind you that you are not funny Uncle! Look at my shirt.”

Genzo pointed that the white letters on his shirt saying gfto.

“Genzo, why are you so mean?” James niffed as if he was sad.

“Oh and Lexo if you want help with your Economics homework you know where to find me.” James added as he was dancing towards the exit of the kitchen.

“What a weirdo… Now where were we… Oh yeah punch me you cunt I’ll give you good booty spanking afterwards! Hahaha.” Genzo resumed taunting.

“Oh yeah here we go!” Lexo shouted.

Lexo punched Genzo on the arm and to their surprise, Genzo was sent back for at least half a meter.

“Au… What in the actual…” Genzo said with a shocked expression.

Wait up what I thought I sealed my own powers… Wait, the superhuman strength was part of the whole sealed deal, It’s the same when I got punched by Blitzia in her sealed state!

“You know what, I'll give you a pass for this time.” Genzo said going back to sit at the island in the middle of the kitchen.

“Okay, I’ll be in my room..” Lexo said and left.

Lexo walked out of the kitchen and went upstairs. He went to the end of the 2nd floor where 3 doors were located, he entered the middle one. His room was light green in colour, on the right side was a white wooden desk with his computer and books on it and on the left side was his bed. He opened up the window at the end of the room to let fresh air in and sat in front of his desk staring at his computer.

Finally some time for myself…

I need to think about all that has happened and analyze it, I might get closer to whatever the hell is occurring right now.

Not knowing what I stand for, that weird question from that hobo, Blitzia’s answer and Conviction.

Let me start with not knowing what I stand for… I mean Blitzia might be right that I don’t know. It's that the hobo asked me that weird question…. He asked me a question which had nothing to do with what I truly wanted. To be honest I never thought about what I wanted. Her answer to make the world truly equal on the economic aspect…

.

.

Is that even realistic? It's almost like a…

Wish or a dream or even… A fantasy!

When she talked about conviction that it was stronger than mine.. What does that word exactly mean?

Lexo turned on his computer and typed in conviction in Google and looked at its meaning.

a formal declaration by the verdict of a jury or the decision of a judge in a court of law that someone is guilty of a criminal offence.

No, that doesn't make sense in my context. Wait, there is another meaning!

A firmly held belief or opinion.

Wait that is it, Blitzia was stronger because she believes in what she stands for and was willing to do anything to achieve it.

But something doesn’t add up, if those ideals are made from desire to change the world then… It has nothing to do with reality.

The question I should be asking myself is…

What is the world truly like?

And with what realistic idea can I come up with to make the world a better place for everyone?

Alright! I know what to do now! I need to figure out more about reality itself so that I can find what I stand for! Only then can I become a worthy Reality Breaker!

Lexo grabbed some of his books and put them in front of him.

But now it's time to do my homework, because school is also important and I don’t want to copy answers again haha...
