"Oh, oh. Are you okay, watcher? You seem a bit confused. What happened to the mirror? you broke it It has been what is it in your mortals tongue called, oh, a week, Why are you staring at the mirror as if it will fix itself Don't give me that look! Oh, forget about it. You are blind after all. I think this is the end of the story. I can't afford to get you a new mirror; those things are expensive. Ah, no, not because of magic - I can create anything - but even I have my limits. Bye, now return to your chores.

"Why are you still around here? Chew chew, oh fine, I'll go take a look in my neighbor's house for a new mirror".

"I have some good news, watcher: we have a new mirror and our neighbors are dead. How awesome! We can now watch and hear the story with better quality, just like you mortals say, "4K". So off you go!"

Ela's heart skipped a beat as she read through the notebook. She couldn't believe what she was seeing -some old note of Uncle Aero how he became strong and what vaelorin everything was noted

** "The first day of the Markarth year, 1/1/200. That's when I started losing people I cared for: soldiers stormed into my house and took away my younger sister, who was eight years old while I was ten. Her ash-gray hair and dark eyes still haunt me, so I write this down to contain my anger."

**"Today is the fifth day of the fourth month in the Markarth year 5/4/200 and I thought I had lost this notebook. Thank the gods, my mother found it. The news of my father's death in the war has made us all so sorrowful. We have now lost two family members, and I think I'm cursed—everything I care about disappears from my life. But I still have my mother, so I must be strong for her**."

**"This is the second. Ohh, who am I joking? I don't care. Mom sold her teeth and hair to provide for the family. She can barely walk. I am weak. I think I will try to convince Mom to sell me into slavery; at least she will have some good silver coins to live.**"

**Three days after I heard the news, I found out that children under fifteen can receive coins if they attend a program called "Vaelorin". I plan to give these coins to my mom since she is very ill and I'm afraid of losing her. I will do whatever it takes to help her.**

**I had been accepted to the training and I handed my mother the 500 silver coins; she begged me not to go but it was too late; I had already signed the contract with my blood. Now she would be able to take better care of herself. When I got here, there were over 1,000 kids, so it was getting quite crowded and uncomfortable. The trainers were very stern and unforgiving.

The first trial we underwent was called the Trial of the Inferno Flames- I detested it! Luckily, there was this girl named Ema and my new brother Ben, who helped me a lot. During the training, we stepped out onto a scorching desert of burning sands.

I felt like I had entered hell. The sun mercilessly pounded down on me as I walked barefoot through the sand, which seared my skin even more than before.

Adding to the unbearable heat was the flame from the torch that I carried in one hand. Each step caused more pain, testing my pain tolerance and endurance.

My determination wavered, but then I thought of my sickly mother's face, giving me strength to carry on. If I could endure this, I'd be able to take care of her. But in addition to this, Mages had put a special seal on our heads so that if we disobeyed orders our brains would explode like Jack's did**.

**It has been a week since our first trial, and we're all starving. We don't get any food here, only rats or some grass. There were 1000 of us at first; now there are only 300.

This place is what my mother warned me about a hell made by humanity. I'm lucky to have Ema by my side; she's kind of cute with her purple eyes. She likes my eyes too; she once said, "You have lovely yellow eyes." Ben is a good ginger-haired brother who protected me from bullies here. He loves milk and always talks about it.

He even hid my note so that the trainers couldn't find it. I'm happy here. Tomorrow is our second trial**.

**This after the second trial I am broken I got all my body bones broken except my hands thank god ben helped Ema before she got into that deadly trap the trial called Maze of Shadows.

In this pitch-black maze filled with traps and concealed horrors, the trainee had to navigate blindfolded. Every wrong step led to physical punishment or psychological torment.

I walked ahead confidently, guided by Ben's directions. But suddenly, the ground beneath me gave way, and I fell into a dark pit, hearing a sickening crack as I landed on my feet. Pain surged through me, and I knew immediately that something was broken. Was it my ankle? My shin? I couldn't tell in the darkness**.

**I have no idea why I'm writing this down. I came back to my village and found it burned.

One of the survivors told me what happened. The soldiers had taken advantage of the women, including my mother. They hung them in public executions, so afterward I saw her body hanging, crows picking away at her flesh. I wasn't even allowed to bury her.

Swearing on her soul, I vowed to take revenge on these men - starting from the King himself - making them suffer as she did. Now all that's left for me is to return to the camp of Vaelorin; it's my only option.

**It has been a full week since I witnessed the massacre of my village. The trainers' faces were stricken with fear when they noticed me like I had become a ghost in their eyes.

EMA was scared and happy to see me alive and well. I have decided not to speak with them; I'm afraid that everyone I care for will die if I do. Hopefully, I will be able to write you another note after the third trial - assuming I stay alive.

**We had been tasked with a third trial, the Cave of Echoing Screams - a cavernous space filled with powerful rumblings and vocalizations that sought to unsettle the trainees' concentration and determination.

My heart beat against my ribs as I stepped into the cave. The cries sounded like a thousand people in pain, all at once. This was something completely new to me. I could hear some of the wails rebound off the walls, making it impossible to determine where they were coming from. I closed my eyes and drew deep breaths to steady myself against these sonic attacks. As I watched my companions struggle, I aided them in their escape.**

A voice suddenly pierced Ela's peace while she was reading in the cabin. "What are you doing?" he asked. She glanced around and saw aerovind before being urged to hand over the book she was holding. "You shouldn't read that; give it to me now."
