The portal was a technology unlike others, it allowed the person that went through it to return to their younger selves of a set timeline, it was more like they took over the body of their younger selves.
It could be said to be reliving your past lives, but with future memories, This plan was for a simple reason, there was something that Alex could use, an artifact that they found, but at the time it was too late, so even with that power, they could do nothing.
The world core had been cracked, and the reconstruction could not happen anymore. The artifact that Alex had gotten was the only thing that could reconstruct the world, but it had to be on the core.
"They all died for me to have a chance, a chance to save the world, a chance to make sure they all survive.
Lionel, Aurora, Luna, I'll play my part, so wait for me, I fix this world, and this time I'll do it right."

[Construct System is online]
"I am starting again, from level one, a chance to get it right."
After the cataclysm 300 years ago, all humans received systems that aided their growth and allowed them to fight, but it was not enough.
Alex was like every other person with a system, but they soon found an artifact known as the constructed key, and it bounded to him, giving him the construct System, the key to fixing the world.
300 years ago, the world was a flourishing technology planet, humanity had come so far, done so much, but the lust for knowledge could not be satisfied.
And in an attempt to attain space control, the veil was torn, and monsters known as crawlers filled the earth, and brought destruction beyond anything they had ever seen.
Humans were forced to fight and survive, but how could they survive against an enemy of an infinite number and a million times their strength?
It was not till the system activation phase did humans put up a good fight, but the world was nearly gone by then, the government, world powers, and everything disappeared.
To those like Alex born in the period after the cataclysm had taken over, known as the new age, they did not know the earth before, all they knew was the dark skies and the infinite crawlers that they fought.

His status screen appeared in front of him, and though he was prepared, he was still shocked by how empty it looked, this was the very beginning.
Though he reached correctly when he got his system at fourteen years old, he had a normal bland one like others, but this time he got the unique construct system, because of the artifact.

Alex sat up, he looked around and saw that he was on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed, in a metallic room that had two buck beds.
Though it had well been over fifty years, he still remembered this place, the place where his journey had begun, where he started his journey.
When he reached the age of fourteen, he left the general area and came to the force of the shelter. This shelter was one of the biggest and strongest in the surrounding, having a fighting force of over a thousand people.
"I came back to when I just became fourteen, this was when I joined the fight against crawlers, my memory is not clear but I can still recall this place."
Alex came down from the bed, his legs felt a bit weak, probably from just waking up. He walked to the bathroom, they had a small bathroom that they used to clean up. Water was a thing that could not be wasted, so they were taught to use it sparingly.
Alex washed his face and looked at the mirror on the wall, his abyss-like eyes that looked dead, his pale skin and gave that was more cute than handsome.
His jet-black hair was a mess, he used his fingers to try and make it look neater, though it didn't really help.
"If this is the first day that I joined the force, then shouldn't it be the first day of training?" He asked himself, recalling something.
Then the memories of this day came back to him, his roommates had refused to wake him up that day and he went for the first year late and was made to run laps till sunset.
"Fuck me, it's happening again, well there is no point running there, I am already late, but I still have to go. If I don't run there it would look like I am a stuck-up kid."
Alex decided to run, he ran out the door, and using his memories he dashed towards the location of the training grounds, it was a large open space in the shelter, but now all the new recruits would be lined up in on the training grounds.
After a good three minutes of running, he finally got to the training ground, he bent over trying to catch his breath.
The instructor saw him and walked up to him.
"Alex, why are you this late?" He barked at him.
The instructor was a well-built man with a bald head and a full beard, he looked like a small mountain in his black combat clothes. He held a rod in his hand, as well as a notepad.
"I am sorry sir, I overslept," Alex said, still huffing and puffing.
"Is that so? Then you can spend the rest of your day shaking off all the sleep in your system, run around the training grounds until the sun goes down there will be no food for you till you are done." The instructor ordered.
'As expected, I start off with the worst day, still I can't continue like this, I can't play my life the same way I did before, this time I have to rise up fast, and get to the world core before it is cracked.'
"Sir yes sir," Alex responded and began running. The instructor was shocked to see that Alex didn't even look pained at such punishment.
