Murderer

I was currently in a stand-off with four elves. Well, I really wouldn’t call it a stand-off because we just happened to bump in to each other on my way out of the dragon’s cave. I had gone back in to eat the delicious dragon meat when I thought I heard some voices. Curious, I walked outside only to bump into a female snow elf who was currently in shock. Behind her were three males who wielded a bow, dual swords and the third one had a few daggers strapped around him. I didn’t really know what to do and I was still quite tired from killing the dragon. The tail on that thing is extremely deadly.

“... … …” One of the elves said.

As if I speak elf. I slowly walked forward to the side, not wanting to cause trouble. Even as I walked I could feel their eyes boring into my back, the slightest movement would cause them to attack. After an agonizingly slow walk, I arrived at the front of the cave, the hallway gone behind me. I bounded down the mountain, feeling the cold rush of air on my fur. I roared loudly, signaling for Hank to return. It took a minute, but he came bounding up the hill with the small bundle of fur on his back, clinging for dear life

When he reached me he stopped abruptly, causing the bundle to get thrown off his back. It flew threw the air only to hit against my chest, I grabbed her before she fell backward, causing her hood to fall down. I stared at her in shock. Brown skin with white hair? She must be a half breed. She stared at me, as if to judge her for her looks. Instead, I simply picked her up and carried her back up the mountain, Hank in tow. I planned on giving her back to those elf’s I saw. If worst comes to worst she can go to an orphanage. As much as I would love to interact with an elf, I didn’t know the language and I doubt a child like her can teach me. At least, I assume its a she. I’m just going by the long hair.

I hadn’t ran that far down the mountain so we arrived at the top fairly quickly. I sniffed the air, the scent of elves was still here. Something else too, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I walked inside, undaunted as the small elf clung to my chest like a child.

The scent of roasted meat filled my nose as I walked through the hallway

“Those fucking assholes” I thought as the delicious meat scent filled my nose. I hurried my pace, hoping to get some of the food. I rounded the bend to see the dragon was neatly cut up and piled into chunks of meat, as well as the gold was spread out in mysteriously shaped spread eagle forms. See? And you guys thought I was weird for jumping in gold. They stared at me with their hands on their weapons. no, it wasn’t me they stared at. It was the little elf that was clinging to my chest, now in fear rather than normalicy.

“Hooh? Guess they know each other”

Kaden’s Pov (Brother)

That little bitch escaped. When Sabrina went back to her tent, she came running out shouting that she was missing. I nearly slit her throat in rage. But no matter, even if she ran away I can find her. We searched around the camp for about an hour before Sable said he found some large footprints that came to our camp, seemingly to spy on us. We quickly packed our bags and closed the tents then followed the prints. There were two sets, one large and unidentified, the other a saber tooth tiger. We followed them for hours, only stopping to rest and eat.

Suddenly we heard an extremely loud roar. A few seconds after that the large rumbling of snow could be heard.

“Avalanche!” I screamed. To the left side of us a massive amount of snow was coming down. I ran as fast as I could but it still managed to keep me in it’s grasp, I went down under the snow, my breathing cut off with no escape. I began to panic then forced myself to calm down. Using the spell Ice-field, I froze the snow around me to a stable surface. Imbuing my legs with mana, I jumped on the ice and broke through the snow, feeling the cold air touch my skin. I looked around to see Sabrina was floating in the air, Akari had used a rope arrow and was hanging from Sabrina’s hand and Sable had done the same as me.

After that little setback we followed the footprints for another two hours, each step making the imprint’s get deeper and deeper

“They’re getting closer” I thought to myself

Two more hours of walking later we arrived at a spot where the Saber-tooth and the beast split. Suddenly a large, powerful beastial roar was heard once again, almost as terrifying as the dragon. We rushed up the mountain, the cave in sight. It took a few minutes but we reached it quickly.

What met us was a large white wool beast with black skin and muscles that looked like they were going to explode. Sabrina was in front, so she was naturally the closest. We had drawn our weapons, fear making us act without thinking.

I was expecting it to attack, but it just stared at us, it’s eyes scanning us as if it was thinking who to kill first.

Why didn’t we attack it instantly? Intelligence. If you looked into the beast’s eyes, without a doubt you could see how intelligent it was. It moved to the side and began to walk forward, as if we weren’t even worth it’s time. I definitely didn’t want to disrespect the dragons guest. After all, most likely it was a Magical beast as well.

I let out a giant breath that I didn’t even know I was holding. How dare a shitty beast like that scare me. I should slice off it’s testicles and make it eat them. I began to turn around before I heard Sabrina scream.

“What?? What is it?” I shouted

“The dragon! It’s It’s…!!!”

I didn’t get what she was trying to say. What could be wrong with the dragon?

Fifteen footsteps later I found out. It was lying on the ground dead. It’s neck was smashed in, the scales on it leg all broken and smashed. It’s back was a mess of wounds, skin scales and meat ripped out. There was only one explanation for this.

The beast.

“Shit!” I thought. I wanted to chase after it, but even I doubted if I could kill it. I knew that if I truly tried to kill It I could, but I wasn’t sure how injured I would be on the outcome. Better to grow stronger then kill it later. But now that the dragon was dead…

“THIS IS ALL OURS!!” I screamed in joy. So much gold. Millions, if not billions of worth in gold coins.

“This baby dragon was such a hoarder” Sabrina said while doing a snow angel in a pile of gold coins. The others were stuffing their pockets with money, but I knew what I wanted. I had come here before and that particular item caught my eye every time I came.

Finally I found it, sitting atop a mountain of gold coins.

“Akrung, the sword of glass ice!” I yelled in joy.

It was a beautiful blade crafted by elven and dwarf smiths together. The elves did the enchantments on the blade and the handle, giving it extra durability and speed. The blade was as hard as adamantium yet skinny as glass and weightless like a feather.

“The dwarves are truly god’s of crafting” I said while inspecting the blade. Beautiful was the only way to describe it. Pouring mana into the blade, the runes lit up, revealing what can only be seen with magic.

I struck the nearest pile of gold. The result was instant. Everything the blade had struck was frozen solid. The gold was as harder than a rock right now.

Sable and I cut up the dragon, making large sections of meat and stacking them for the return journey.

“I’m gonna need a Space Ring for all this gold” A space ring was just as it’s name described. Using gravity, teleportation and other various magic it creates a room in which you can store a near infinite amount of objects inside.

Sabrina created a fireplace for the meat to cook, letting the delicious scent fill the air.

I was about to go and practice when I heard large footsteps outside. I turned around and waited. I could roughly guess who it was, but I hoped I was wrong. Unfortunately, I wasn’t.

Standing in the entrance was the large beast with a hungry look on it’s face. Beside it was pure snow white saber tooth tiger by it’s side. But despite those two beast’s standing there, what interested me more was the object in it’s hands. Or should I say person.

Zayan! Zayan was resting in it’s arms like a child, staring at us with terrified eyes.

“Zayan! Why did you run away?” I asked with a dark smile. I could easily guess the reason she ran, but I wanted to torture her.

“You know why!” She screamed, tears forming in her eyes.

“I do? I must have forgotten”

“You want to kill me! I thought you loved me! We’re brother and sister! What have I ever done to you! I love you! Why...why...why” she cried, burying her head in the beast’s fur.

“It’s because of your whore of a mother. Cheating on my father, stealing all of his money then leaving him for a fucking dark elf!? I will kill you you fucking brat. No. In fact, I will sell you to the humans as an elven slave. You will be used as nothing more than a toy for the fat pig that are nobles. And when your mind is broke, I will erase your memories. Then, I will repeat the process over and over again until even your soul begs for release.”

She tried to cover her ears but it was no use. I used sound magic to amplify my voice, the noise echoing off the cavern.

I walked forward and stretched out my hand, intending to take the girl away from the beast.

Beast’s Pov (Don’t worry, I’ll get a name for it soon :D)

She definitely doesn’t want to go to them. The elf began to talk rapidly, and from the gestures and crying I could tell what he was going to do wasn’t pleasant. He began to walk towards me, his eyes on the prize. He stretched his hand out for the elf.

I growled a deep warning growl. He jumped backwards in fright, giving me a nice laugh inside. I walked closer to him, making him walk backwards. I pulled the girl off my chest, much to her fear. I sat her down on the ground then walked backward. She began to follow me but I growled, making her stop. The elf began to walk towards her but I growled again, irritated that no one had any patience. He froze where he stood, unsure if he should risk it.

After walking a sufficient distance, I pointed at the girl, then the elf, back to the girl, then at me. My meaning was clear. Either come to me or go to the elf. The response was instantaneous. She bounded toward me, her small legs carrying her as fast as she could. She stuck her arms up in the air, asking to be carried. At this I laughed. A deep yet loud laugh that filled the entire cavern. I decided to oblige, picking her up and bringing her to my chest. I then turned around and walked forward towards the roasting meat. I hadn’t had anything roasted since I arrived in this world.

I grabbed the meat off the large stick and took a massive bite out of it. I nearly cried at the taste. The juicy flavor melted in my mouth making me….scream? Scream I did. When the first bite went down my throat, unimaginable pain filled me. It felt as if someone was taking part of my body out.

I barely managed to dodge the arrow that was shot at me. I tried to summon my magic, but to my shock it wouldn’t work.

I charged the arrow shooter, only to get smashed to the side by an unseen force. Magic I assumed. Hank roared and jumped at the elf that was flying in the air. She was about to dodge but suddenly Hanks claw was encased in a large version of ice. It smashed against the mana shield, sending the elf flying into a pile of gold. She got up looking fine but extremely pissed

I, on the other hand, got up slowly, my natural regeneration wasn’t working as fast as it should, though compared to other race’s it was still terrifyingly fast.

I felt a blade slash against my leg, drawing warm thick blood. Two more slashed me before I could process what was happening. Beneath me was a shrouded elven figure. I sent out a kick, but I was pitifully slow compared to him. I rushed behind a pile of gold, not wanting to fight Lightning mcqueen behind me. I smashed a pile of gold on my way, causing my attacker to jump backwards. Running towards the mage, I grabbed a large Ice spike and flung it at her, fully intent to kill her. Unfortunately, due to the pain my aim was a little off and I ended up hitting her leg, causing her to fall backward and smash into the ground.

Her mana shield flickered for a few seconds, causing her face to be alive with terror. I was planning on grabbing another spike when I felt a blade leave a large but shallow cut on my back. It healed almost instantly. I smiled.

“My regeneration is back” I cheered in my head. If my regeneration is back then my magic should… Nope. I tried to do an Ice-explosion at my feet but it didn’t work. My magic felt wild, chaotic.

I ran toward Sabrina, once again intending to kill her. If she could heal the others during this fight, then It would be a major disadvantage towards me. Speaking of others…. where is the swordsman.

I got my answer a few seconds later when a loud scream made me stop in my tracks. Little elf was on top a mountain of gold, with the dual swordsman elf climbing up it. She was throwing gold at him in an attempt to knock him down, but it was only a temporary distraction. Another blade went through my leg and I snapped. I smashed the ground with all my strength, causing cracks to form in a large radius and the cavern shook. I roared as loud as I could, the blood red rage taking over.

An arrow went through my eye before I could stop it from happening.I roared again, this time shaking the cavern with my voice alone.I swung my fist at the mage, smashing her and her shield against the wall. It broke apart instantly and my fist made her body explode. A large amount of blood and other organs splattered everywhere. I heard the sick sound of puke hitting the ground. Before the puking rogue could recover I grabbed him by the legs, crushing his bones as I raised him in the air.

I aimed at the dual swordsman who was now nearly at the top of the pile. Just from how long it took him to climb the pile, one could Imagine how big it was (Thats what she said!)

I threw the rogue like a boomerang, his body sailing towards dual elf. The elf could only turn his head in horror as the body smashed against his side, sending him against the side of the cave, which in turn caused icicles to drop on top of him.

Hank had already killed arrow elf, so I just needed to finish off dual sword, who was currently throwing his friends corpse off with an unsatisfied expression on his face. I began to walk towards him when all of the sudden he disappeared. With extreme speed he appeared right in front of me, swords aimed at my throat.

In the nick of time I raised my arm, feeling immense pain as my hand down to my elbow was chopped off

“Graaaah!” I roared, causing Ice to come out of my mouth. I was so shocked that I let out a ‘Hah?” In the middle of my roar. That breath looked exactly like the dragons breath. Apparently the elf was shocked as well. In a split second I inhaled as much air as I could then let out my breath.

Exactly as I predicted, ice breath shot out of my mouth, freezing everything in its path. The elf jumped out of harms way on to a pile of gold. My arm had nearly regenerated, but my magic still wasn’t working. I punched the golden pile, hoping to knock him off. My left eye had just finished regenerating, so I was now almost fully operational.

My hand still hadn’t finished the fingers but I still swung at him anyways. He slashed again, severing my fingers once more.

I stomped on the ground, causing the pile of gold to fall on him. I exhaled as fast as I could, but only managed to freeze one leg. Still, that was enough. I rotated my body and smashed my leg against his chest, sending him flying. Before he could recover I hammered him down mercilessly, blood spewing everywhere. I left him on the edge of dying, coughing of blood as he tried to escape.

I walked towards the bundle of elf, my blood soaked appearance causing her fright. I reached out my hand and she flinched, afraid I was going to hurt her. When she saw I meant no harm, she tentatively grabbed my hand. I pulled her out of the mountain of coins she barricaded herself in, then walked toward the ice thin sword that was lying on the ground. I picked it up and handed it to her.

I pointed to the dual elf lying on the ground then made a stabbing motion, indicating what I wanted her to do. She shook her head, but when I growled and picked her up I left her no choice. Surprisingly the elf had made it to the hallway and was crawling about in fear. I just laughed and smiled. I smashed his legs, causing him to scream in pain. I handed the elf the sword, then held the extremely durable but nearly dead elf by its legs.

The elf began to talk, trying to say something. He was pleading, begging her to let him live. She started crying, tears and snot running down her face as she raised the blade over his heart. He was screaming now, rage and spittle flying out of his face. Looking away, she screamed as she drove the blade straight into his heart. He had one last look of pain on his face, then his face glazed over. She just sat there, looking at her hands.

She looked at me, then more tears ran down her face as she ran at me. She jumped into my fur, bawling her eyes out as I patted her head.

This girl and I, I feel like we will be good friends.
