[Greetings, stranger. I am Warriv and you are currently in the Rogue Encampment.

I'm not surprised to see your kind here.

Many adventurers have traveled this way since the recent troubles began.

No doubt you've heard about the tragedy that befell the town of Tristram.

Some say that Diablo, the Lord of Terror, walks the world again.

I don't know if I believe that, but a Dark Wanderer did travel this route a few weeks ago.

He was headed east to the mountain pass guarded by the rogue monastery.

Maybe it's nothing, but evil seems to have trailed in his wake.

You see, shortly after the Wanderer went through, the Monastery's Gates

to the pass were closed and strange creatures began ravaging the countryside.

Until it's safer outside the camp and the gates are re-opened, I'll remain here with my caravan.

I hope to leave for Lut Gholein before the shadow that fell over Tristram consumes us all.

If you're still alive then, I'll take you along.

Greeting Mr. Warriv. I am called … Kurtis. I thank you for your helpful and informative welcome. I am lacking in many areas, I hope you can understand my ignorance and I hope you would not be offended if I was to do or say something that is considered offensive. Kurtis

Hahaha Think nothing of it Kurtis and no need to be formal just call me Warriv. Just continue to be polite and don’t do anything that will anger your own self then you can easily and slowly learn the local customs. As you can tell, the people around here are more worried about surviving than anything else.

Excuse my curiosity but what exactly are you Kurtis? I mean, what order do you represent? I’ve meet my fare share of people I can surely say that I’ve meet almost all of them because of my occupation as a traveling merchant. Warriv

No offense taken Warriv. I represent the Protoss Faction, a group us were sent to gather information about the current turbulent time. Our elders suspect that a great war is coming but we lack the appropriate information on how exactly are we going to prepare for it. I wish I can tell you more but you know how it is. Kurtis

Prime, I think we are in a bind here. If memory serves me right then we are in the Diablo 2 universe. It would be nice if we are in the vanilla version of it but if we are somehow in a modded version then my personal knowledge is almost useless because of how many changes they are in a modded version.

You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.

Prime, go scout and gather intel while I experiment. If we are lucky then I might have some good news later. MC

Let’s list down what we know.

1. No status screen meaning no gaming related cheats as a player. Maybe it will show after killing monsters or completing a quest but I’m not confident about this hypothesis.

2. The entire camp is surrounded by a shield or something that blocks anything from getting out so it’s safe assume it works both ways. Prime can’t even see pass the wooden walls.

3. Unlike the game, there are more people here which is not much of a surprise but most of them are members of the sisterhood and their families.

4. All my personal skills and abilities are usable, which is a blessing since I was expecting it might have been blocked or something. I might be able to improve the camp’s infrastructure if I have enough materials.

5. I currently have enough minerals to build two nexus and energy replaced vespene gas requirements. Seems like all my modifications to our race are still working but I had to sacrifice my starting resources because of modifications.

6. From what I can tell, the locals are neutral about me but curious since my appearance is too different compared to them. Not my idea of a good start but I’ll welcome it compared to being hated from the start. I don’t think talking to them will earn me goodwill so the fastest way would be is to hunt monsters and complete quests.

I think that’s about it. Now let’s list down the to-do list.

1. Earn goodwill from the local for easy information gathering.

2. Collect resources, loot everything and anything. Then improve the base, I highly doubt the sister can easily cleanse their former stronghold of its infestations.

3. Improve personal strength to increase survivability since most of the armor and weapons in the camp are useless to me. Asking Warriv to let me see some of his wares was a good idea. The weapons and shield are useable but they can’t beat my personal shield and psionic blade.

4. Test the different potions like health, mana and others for their usability and effects.

5. Build a nexus to jump start the Protoss faction and build an army. But I need to build fortifications first since there’s a high chance that the energy coming from building the nexus would attract a lot of attention from the enemies.

6. Check if I’m the only unique faction in this universe. The last thing I want is crossing paths with a faction from another universe like the war hammer 40k or something worse.

I hope I can find minerals that are usable to Protoss technology, if not then I might need to merge this world’s technology and magic to Terran technology, doing so would consume a lot of time and resources but there’s nothing I can do about it.

But before anything else I would have to find a place where I can dig the ground to dig down and find lava veins, I just hope there’s no monsters below our feet.

Prime, I need you to make a gaming interface to make it easier to access information like shield levels, mini-map and other quality of life functions. Prioritize the mini-map and make sure it has an IFF feature. Paint enemies red, ally blue and yellow for unknowns. Make three maps, one into a top-down version, the other one into a 3D-map and the last one into a world-map.

Don’t forget to make a separate database for this world. It’s a good thing your memory didn’t get wiped like mine. My entire Starcraft reincarnation memory is blank. I’ll just take it as a blessing for the time being since I need to concentrate on this world’s common sense before relearning my Starcraft memories. Kurtis
