Chapter 2
(Since the main character can understand the language now, I will write the dialogues in English)
30 000 years ago, the Elves ruled over the Red Land, what is called as Eglolia of the East today. The Elves were a very clever tribe, and very proud. They were also skilled magicians and were the first ever to discover magic. Although they are small in numbers, they were enough to be able to govern an entire continent.
Ugh, what a predictable history.
A particular elf had made this possible. His name was Delgaramen.
The humans at that time were weak and had no particular ruler. Delgaramen saw this opportunity and seized the chance. Thus, the humans became enslaved to Delgaramen because without him, they would be starved to death. Delgaramen made the humans do all the hard work, while the elves were treated like nobles.
Discontent from the humans soon surfaced. They began forming parties and groups to bring down the Elves. Briham Endells was the one who created the rebellion. Briham was well known for his quick wits and was an author. He secretly published books that told the humans about Delgramen’s undoing. This ignited further discontent in the Humans. He soon became a member of a party raid against Delgramen. Briham’s team tried to rebel, but those who were unhappy with Delgaramen’s cruel way of treating them were killed in an instant. Briham’s Endells was burned alive. Phase 1 of the Human’s Rebellion against Delgramen was a total failure.
“Having fun reading that history book, Roah?”
With a jolt, I quickly looked behind me and saw my father crouching.
Looks like he’s home from the meeting.
His face looked worn out and I assumed he had a very tiring day.
“Welcome home!” I said fluently.
It feels awkward to do this because I never had a father before.
And I’m older than he is.
But for the time being, I need to act like a child so that people don’t find me odd.
“I’m home!” He exclaimed and carried me on his toned arms. “So did you miss me?”
I put on a playful smile. “eah’!”
After I said that, he swarmed with kisses on the bed and chanted about how cute I am.
It was traumatic.
I really hate it when he does this. I don’t mind my mother’s though, or the maids’. But since I realize how cute I really am, I can understand everyone’s feelings. (proud)
“Is papa tired?” I asked after having a second look at his face. He was a very handsome man, I’m a little jealous.
“Not at all.” He smiled sincerely and hugged my body affectionately on the bed.
Oh God, this is disgusting! I didn’t know fathers did these things with their sons! It’s time to do some magic.
I have been practicing my magic skills secretly these past two years. I’m proud to say that this old man still got the knack to study! (Magic, that is)
I’ll cast a harmless sleeping spell on him.
By this candle I do sleep, hidden from the day, in the night so deep. O lady Moon. Guide his dreams, cover him with your beautiful beams. As he candle flame dies, please close his eyes. Allow him to wake in the warmth of The Sun
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
.
I’ll cast a harmless sleeping spell on him.
“Papa go to sleep!” I said broke off from his embrace without much struggle.
Oh finally, he’s asleep. Thank God.
Since most spells are harmless and easy to learn, even children can learn it. Magic, however, is an entirely different story. But since my family is highly infatuated with the Wizards’ Continent Versailles. Not to mention my brother is a Magic student, a book about various Magic Incantations can be found inside my father’s library. Though no one except my father and brother is allowed to enter the library, I found a secret passage way to sneak inside.
I covered Thrastos’(my father’s name) body with the blanket and left him in deep sleep.
I look at the half read History book and feel my stomach curling up.
Ugh, I hate History.
I’ve never been good at it in the real world. Not even once. I graduated high school without knowing a single thing about it.
I like Magic better. I can feel Harry’s blood inside of me. Maybe I should get an owl too?
I got off form the edge of the bed and walked outside my room. The corridor was a long one, and a damn pretty one too. It’s like the ones in Queen Elizebeth’s house. Only prettier!
Alright, time to learn some Magic!
I stroded a very long way across the corridor. My baby legs can’t handle this every day! So I decided to learn magic each alternate day. I will learn about the history of this place and simple spell of every other day. A perfect straight-A student’s timetable!
***
I picked up the wooden wand on the small table. Wands are not necessary to do Magic, but it is certainly needed for learning. Especially by amateurs, but I am not an amateur. I’ve already memorised most of the Magic incantations in the book. Now all that is left are the easy and short ones which I think is for children.
If somebody were to find me here I'd be dead. So I hid myself in the farthest book shelf.
Since Magic is a sacred knowledge, only some are allowed to learn it. Since Humans have some type of connection with the Elves, which are the first race to ever discover Magic, it was only natural for them to know some knowledge of the incantations as well. The knowledge has been passed down generation by generation and now I have learned it too.
I flipped through the pages and reached page 1234. It was a simple guide to make a small fire circle. It’s supposedly to scare [Brethrens] away, which is a type of witch monster.
“Ah this one is very easy.”
The page read:
Fire burns and fire turns all evil and harm away from me. Fires power and fires might. Protects me every day and night!
I chanted.
Surprisingly, it seems like I was too strong to do easy magic.
Right now, the entire library is burning in scarlet flame.
Shit.
Hello and thank you again for reading, this is a very short chapter and I apologise. Peace
