Chapter 20: New Home

My rather unusual family and I found ourselves inside of the seraglio and when we were on one side of the portal and Sofia's parents were on the other I quietly closed the portal. Sofia, Riezel, and I began to look around the room we were in and I chuckled when I saw an enormous bed in one corner of it. We were in my bedroom.

"Well, ladies... Welcome home." I stated, chuckling. The two of them gazed at different parts of the room, with Riezel gazing at the massive bed and Sofia both gazing at and approaching one of the room's windows. It revealed a lovely view of the outside world, the enormous, grassy plain that stretched on forever and was covered in gorgeous flowers.

"Where are we?" She asked, before turning to look at me curiously. I chuckled at her question and considered how to answer it. When I did answer I had a smile on my face.

"Well, the simplest answer is that we are home. But the longer and more truthful answer is that we are in my seraglio. This is a dimension that I have total control over, and it is the result of a power possessed by grand adonises. Originally it was an endless plain covered in flowers which I suspect is a result of my connection to nature but honestly, that might just be the default setting these things are metaphysically keyed to? Anyway, a seraglio is a grand adonis's private sanctum, it is different from a deity's divine realm and it is a place where a grand adonis can rest forever if they wish with their harem or their bride in total peace." I began, chuckling at various points while I spoke.

"Some grand adonises awaken their seraglios and then retreat into them forever, with their grand venus bride or their harems and never leave, immersing themselves in pleasure forever. In some ways that sounds fun, but I don't believe I could do that. I am driven by a desire to help people above all things. I want to be a hero who changes the omniverse for the better." I stated, simply. And this statement managed to make Sofia even more confused.

"The... 'omniverse'?" She asked me, curiously. I chuckled and walked over to a small table, sitting down on one of the seats around it and motioning for Sofia to join me. She hesitantly did as I asked and I began to speak.

"So allow me to take the next few minutes catching you up to speed. From everything you've said so far, it sounds like you're like me in that you want to be a heroine who helps people, adventures, and grows in power, so I think I'd be doing both of us a favor by sharing what I know with you." I began, causing her eyes to begin to sparkle with curiosity and excitement.

I quickly summarized my life up to this point and shared with her what I knew about things like dungeons, the existence of the omniverse, and the other secrets I had steadily learned over the course of the last few days. I didn't exactly mention how Riezel and I met, but I shared with her my encounter with Respen and Ashlen and my knowledge concerning the National Arcane Academy, who I fully planned to make my allies as well. To my chagrin, Sofia was quite intelligent and when I was finished effectively catching her up to speed she immediately had questions for me, including about Riezel.

"So... In all of that, you never stated how you and Riezel met..." She pointed out, smiling at me. I chuckled and looked away almost sheepishly. I was silent for a moment before recommitting myself to honesty, especially with Sofia of all people.

Riezel chuckled and left the room, which Sofia noticed and watched curiously. Riezel sent me a telepathic message saying she'd commit to any story I told Sofia and that she was going to explore the castle and I told her I'd just tell my fiance the truth.

"So... Riezel is a succubus. She was summoned by Respen, who is a powerful user of the 'Infernal and celestial' circle of magic, for the sake of charming me and bringing me to the National Arcane Academy. It didn't work because succubi are a bad matchup against grand adonises and so when she tried to charm me I instead took the offensive and effectively claimed Riezel. I already told you and your family that we had sex. That was true. The context of it was that I was originally defending myself and then we began to enjoy it." I stated, before taking a breath and then continuing.

"Riezel is my ally and partner. I trust her. Sex with a grand adonis is a soul-changing experience and we give supernatural pleasure to our partners, even demons, and other higher beings. She was changed, for the better, by the sex we had. Riezel can be trusted but I didn't want your family to learn the truth about her just yet. However, you are my fiance. I will not lie to you." I continued, opting to be honest in all things with Sofia. What was the point of us getting married if we couldn't trust each other? I would show her that I could be trusted. She thoughtfully considered my words, and I sensed her weighing them against the other things she had heard me say. And then she giggled.

"Well... I suppose if someone would advocate that a dungeon be purified and made friendly to humanoids, instead of just being cleared, it makes sense that they would befriend demons too. You are consistent, I will give you that." She admitted, smiling and making me feel immense relief. She didn't hate Riezel, even if she was now wary of the woman. That made sense so I didn't mind that.

"So then... What will your relationship with her be, now? Are the two of you still planning to have sex?" Sofia asked me, which made me laugh softly. I nodded at her.

"I enjoy sex with her. She's a succubus and I'm a grand adonis, we're both creatures of lust, and sexuality, and sex. I would say that there is a certain extent to which she, as a fellow entity of lust and sexuality can get me on a level that other creatures cannot." I admit, thinking about her question. I then quietly predict what her question will be and opt to answer it.

"I fully intend to have sex with you, when you know me better, understand the ramifications of sex with a grand adonis, and tell me that that's what you want. Sex with a grand adonis is, as I've mentioned more than once before, a... supernatural experience. It is something that changes lives. And this is not me bragging about my skills in bed this is me giving you a sincere, genuine warning. I do not want to have sex with someone who is a fully independent living being without them knowing about and understanding the impact of sex with a grand adonis." I warn Sofia, speaking earnestly. She studies my face as I speak, before sighing when I'm done.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"I certainly could have it worse I guess. You aren't gonna pressure me into having sex with you, which was an eventuality I had feared if I dated someone else. That said, you are annoyingly attractive. You're the sort of handsome that makes heartbeats quicken when you get close to someone. The sort of attractive that people dream about being." She replied, after hearing me out. I smiled at her and didn't speak. Instead, I got up, walked over to her, and offered her my hand again.

"We're in my room. I intend to give everyone who comes here a private room of their own. Allow me to show you yours." I tell her, gently. She smiles pleasantly at me and took my hand. Together we walked out of my room and into an elegant and impossibly large hallway. Countless doors line the hallway, but my room is at one end of it and my door is larger than all the other doors.

----------------------------------------

My fiance was not interested in her room being far from mine so she picked the door closest to mine. We entered the room and find it empty, which was intentional. I glanced at her and asked for her permission to peer into her mind and find what her room at home looked like.

Sofia looked at me and nodded, and I peered into her memories of her room. As I did, the room around us begins to change before our very eyes. It swiftly became a mirror of her room at home, which was a simple living space filled with many desks and notebooks containing notes regarding magic theory. Sofia watched, delighted and began to feel at home. However, I was not quite done yet.

I designed a modern, according to Riezel's understanding of the word, bathroom hidden behind a door to the right of Sofia's bed, which is itself located in the back corner of the room. The bathroom would be perfect and easy to understand once Sofia notices it because I told the system to teach her to how to use it. I also created one unique surprise for her.

While the beautiful half-elf began to study the notebooks, which I went ahead and made exact copies of her ones in her room in her father's home, I decided to give her a unique gift. I stealthy created a single door in the back of the room that took advantage of the one advanced property of my seraglio: its infinite capacity. The half-elf didn't notice it immediately but I mentally went ahead and decorated the room behind the door, making it a complete collection of all of the books contained in Jasper's libraries, and all of the books written by members of the National Arcane Academy.

The last thing I did before I quietly departed from the room was watch Sofia for a moment. She was quite a beauty and for not the first time I felt quite grateful to be a deity and to be able to live the way that I now did.

----------------------------------------

The rest of that first day passed in a blur. I went to Riezel, helped her create her own room, which was modeled after a room she enjoyed staying in, when she temporarily resided in a castle in Hell, and then spent a few hours with her. The two of us were planning for the future, including through the usage of telepathy with the family of Sofia, while Sofia herself found and used the gift I left for her in the form of the library room in her living space.

The three of us were true immortals who not only didn't age but also didn't need to sleep, breathe, or eat, and so when Sofia wanted to spend more time with us she went and found us in the little strategy room Riezel and I had been in mere hours before Sofia joined our unorthodox little family. For the next several hours we discussed the future and the sort of goals we wanted to pursue.

Riezel's goals were simple: she wanted to enjoy herself and to gain power. I was unsurprised by that, she had lived a fair deal of her life in Hell being pursued by an asshole so it made sense that now that she was free from the constant stress of having to watch over her shoulder she would want to cut loose.

Sofia's goals weren't all that much more complicated. She wanted to grow in power and knowledge, magically, while also learning more about me so she could decide how she felt about marrying me, and preferably enjoy her newfound powers and abilities. She was an offensive spell-caster so having her join the party I was forming would be good for balance. I could be a close-range fighter, Riezel could be a sniper, and Sofia could be a damage-dealing magician.

My goals were definitely the biggest and most complex ones. I wanted to begin to gain worshipers and I had ambitious plans for how to do that.

I told my two companions that I wanted us to be in and around the city of Jasper. During the days we would adventure and pursue our own goals, whether that amounted to researching things, healing people, gaining power, or just exploring the city and its neighboring areas. At night we would preach and do public services while accruing worshipers. This got the attention of my companions.

I explained that I wanted to heal people and begin to preach the message and tenets of the faith I was going to build. I had not come out of hiding for the city's leadership only to hide from the common people, and that was something that Baron Gomez was ready to support. While I was conversing with Riezel, before Sofia joined us, he was already in support of my plan to give away food and help the poorest residents of Jasper.

At night there would be large gatherings of people in the city's central square, endorsed and aided by the city's guards, where I could preach, heal people, and give away food that I created using my supernatural abilities to the hungry and starving. Once a week I even planned to perform a larger miracle such as a resurrection or another display of roughly equal significance.

I had no intention to hide my divinity. I was intent on becoming the city's patron deity and I would do that by earning the worship of the city's people, and by being an accessible, personable deity that people, be they rich or poor, man or woman, human or elf, could interact with and hear from.

Convincing my companions to try out this idea for a few days was quite easy since it enabled both of them to pursue their own objectives as well. Riezel thought it'd be fun to watch, and I explained that if Sofia was supportive of the idea and helped out as well I'd use my abilities to further empower her. That was enough for her to opt to support the idea for now.

----------------------------------------

The next day began with Sofia splitting up from Riezel and I. She wanted to go to the National Arcane Academy, reveal that she was healed, and begin the work of inspiring awe in the magi in the academy by revealing that her mom had been resurrected.

Riezel and I would go to the Emerald Cavern and have an almost disappointingly uneventful time. Fortunately for us, Sofia had a much more eventful day since she not only returned to the National Arcane Academy she brought her long-deceased mother and news that a deity had appeared in the baron's manor and performed several miracles. That and she brought the exciting news that said deity was going to be regularly appearing to the public and performing weekly miracles, which truly excited the people of the National Arcane Academy.

When the sun began to set we quickly left the cavern and went back to Jasper. We were politely ushered to the city's central square, a gigantic area where during the day markets were held and at night people could gather peacefully for special events, including this one. By the time everyone had gathered, there were well over two thousand people in attendance, which wasn't a tremendous number given that the city had over 40,000 residents, but many of them were the wealthy and upper-class leaders of various businesses and organizations.

Shortly after the sun disappeared beneath the horizon, I began to telepathically message my companions, informing them of what I was going to say. Riezel and I were seated inconspicuously at a seat near the fountain at the heart of the city's central square. When my companions gave me the all-clear, I stood up and readied myself to make my first public appearance as a deity.
