It turned out Mintuk knew the exact spell which could melt the locks of the rooms. The first room we entered was the Season Control room.
This room also had a table where there was a slim leather bound book inside which instructions were written. Mintuk went through the instructions and then told us that the season control device should work in a similar fashion to how we had used the lightning device.
The season control machine could be used to change the seasons of a particular region and could be even used on a single person apparently to make them feel the summer heat, the winter cold and the pleasant spring. First I removed the lightning device from myself which had been merged with me till then as I could merge only one device with me at a particular time.
I merged the season control device with myself. A blinking notification appeared and I recognised this as a warning signal and I knew I had merged the season control device the wrong way. I quickly deactivated the merging spell and removed the device from myself. Then I touched the base of the device and merged with it a second time. This time the notification that appeared wasn’t blinking after I selected the ‘season’ icon.

1. Change the ‘season’ of a creature/person
2. Change the ‘season’ of a geographic area
“Use it on Mintuk,” Xoris ordered since Mintuk was the only person on whom we could test the device, “but make no mistake and use the device at the lowest strength possible.”
I selected the first option.
Think of a temperature anywhere from -100 degree Celsius to +100 degree Celsius and aim your merged hand at the person.
I pointed my hand at Mintuk, whose eyes went wide.
“What are you doing!”
“Your father asked me to do this,” I replied. “Do not worry; I will go with a bearable 10 degree Celsius.”
I threw the spell at him and Mintuk began to shiver as though it was chilly.
“I feel cold,” he said. I had a sudden urge to lower the temperature to -100 degree Celsius. That would easily freeze Mintuk and kill him. However, I controlled the urge. I deactivated the merge spell. After that we went to the other rooms where I tried out some of the other devices.

There weren’t many other devices that could be used for offence. The device that could be used to contact the other gods of the Alliance served no purpose to us. We found a certain ice device that could be used to make hail stones shoot out of my hand, as well as make ice clones of me.
Xoris was overjoyed that we could make more clones, even though these ones were not of electricity but of ice. I made them of the highest strength as per Xoris’s orders. While standing near the ice clones, one didn’t feel any cold, but when I touched one of them with the tip of my finger, my finger went numb with the cold and I could barely move it for about an hour. Like the lightning clones, the strength of the ice clones could also be increased by allowing them sleep and rest, so I ordered them to go out of the castle and sleep but made it clear that they should be up by dawn tomorrow morning when the Alliance would come for us.
Xoris had high hopes for the species creating device, however it turned out that while it was possible for us to create new kinds of animal and plant life, we could only do so on earth.
So it happened that we took the three main devices: the lightning device, the season control device, and the ice device to the main hall of the castle. Xoris believed that I would be better able to use the three devices from the hall as I could open the main door from there and use the different powers of the devices on the attacking gods more conveniently.
After that we resumed moving about the castle. We had never gone to the top-most floor of the castle. And now when we went there, we found a great chamber. Inside the chamber there was a great table. On the table there was a miniature castle surrounded by a wall, which looked like an exact replica of the castle and the castle grounds.
“I feel this is something important,” Mintuk said, running his hand over the miniature cloud plants spread over the replica castle grounds. There were even certain spots on the replica castle grounds where the thickness of the solid clouds seemed less than the other spots. I realised that these were the exact spots where I had created the holes in the real castle grounds.
“This is a device of some kind,” Xoris said to me. “I do not think it is a mere replica of the castle and the castle grounds. Try merging it with yourself.”
The merging was a success. A new icon called ‘castle’ appeared in my vision.
You can:
1. Make the walls higher
2. Strengthen the main door further by 10x times such that it could only be opened from the inside
3. Create a protective dome around the castle
“Go with the second and third options,” Xoris said. The thickness of the main door increased when I chose the first option. When I chose the second option the walls around the castle grew higher and higher and met at the top, forming a dome.
“Okay,” Xoris said, letting out a laugh, “I do not know whether we shall win tomorrow. However, I feel now that we at least have some chances against the Alliance. Godhood… here I come!”
