I should have listened to him. Dad told me over and over that I shouldn’t go into the dungeon until I was older. I was reckless. Now, I saw my little sister being stabbed through the heart.
“ARIA!!!” I screamed out.
A massive shadow loomed behind her. Blood dripped from her wound where a blade protruded from her chest. She was being lifted off the ground as a giant snake impaled her. The shadow behind her was gigantic and it bled killing intent. Covered in hard scales and colored a black so dark it could barely be seen, it had no mercy in it’s blood red eyes.
“Felix…” Aria whispered. Her eyes began to close.
My vision blurred as tears rose in my eyes. Why was I so weak? My magic was able to kill everything here until now. I was confident in my ability. How did this happen?

I heard a thump as I heard Aria’s body hit the floor. A sliding, scraping noise was getting louder and louder. My knees were shaking and I felt blood dripping from my shoulder. Only 10 minutes ago were my sister and I walking through the dungeon confidently. We both had superior tracing skills and could detect most creatures but this snake… we had no chance. This snake was different. Evil almost.
“Agh…” I felt an intense pain in my stomach. With an inhuman speed, the serpent slid it’s sharp tail into my chest. The burning sensation was so painful all I could do was gape and stare at the wound.
“No…Aria…” I murmured. Darkness began to fill my eyes. Death itself was beckoning me. The last thing I saw was her lifeless body on the ground as I lost consciousness.
