Through the ages, a story was shared among multiple civilizations narrating the existence of a mystical garden concealed among the vast desert islands of Uhimba. An oasis promising immortality, it was deemed mythical due to the lack of evidence of such islands. Such perception shifted drastically when Khimba Bolgi, an unknown explorer stumbled upon the Uhimba islands during his 12th Millennium maritime journey. The following is a retelling of the accounts given by Khimba Bolgi in his exploration of the islands and his quest for eternity.
The 24th day of Merka, the year 1210 of the 12th Millennium, marked the 26th day of maritime travel for Khimba and his crew. Inside his quarter, Khimba expressed displeasure and disappointment in his failure to discover new lands. With enough supplies to last them another month, he decided to change their course if there was still no sign of new lands the next day, cautious as ever of the dangers of the open waters. Taking out a large map, Khimba spent most of the day planning for a new course.
In the early afternoon of the 25th day of Merka, Khimba and his crew were notified by their Spotter of an island located a few distances away from their ship. With their Navigator confirming that this piece of land was likely undiscovered, Khimba and his crew sailed toward the island filled with excitement and wonder, curious about what the land would contain. As the ship got closer, the crew’s eyes were greeted by a sandy beach. Before they could dock on the beach coast, Khimba instructed one of his Scouts to perform reconnaissance of the island. Taking heed, the Scout morphed into an eagle and soared to the skies. Around 15 minutes later, he returned and reported his findings to Khimba. He stated that the island was a sand desert and that there were also multiple identical desert islands close to the island in front of them. Upon hearing the Scout’s report, Khimba immediately recalled a story he had heard during his childhood about a group of sandy islands called the Uhimba Islands, where within one of these islands was hidden a garden that contained a means to obtain immortality.

Skeptical at first of the Uhimba Islands, as well as the concept of immortality, regarding both as myths, this discovery of a group of desert islands began to rattle his mind, sowing seeds of doubt inside him. These doubts soon got the better of him, and gathering the entire crew, Khimba declared that they had just discovered the mythical Uhimba Islands. Upon hearing this declaration, some crew members were doubtful, but most of the crew jumped up and down in joy at this news since the Uhimba Islands were a popular story worldwide, and if what their captain said was true, their names would be etched in history as the first people to discover the Uhimba Islands.
Quickly restoring order, Khimba and his crew docked the ship and set foot on the island. Their first course of action was setting up a camp a short distance away from the coast and unloading their supplies from the ship. This took them the whole day, and Khimba stated in his diary that he was happy and eager to explore the new land they had just discovered.
