Upon waking up, Talia found that she was once again within the familiar bedroom of the Princess.
A lavishly decorated room, splendid furniture in bright vibrant colours are a sharp contrast to the violet, gloomy game world she was just within.
‘What happened, could that be some sort of nightmare?’ Thought Talia as she remembered the terrifying feeling of being chased by the Dire Bear.
She found herself still lying on the bed, the only difference she found on her body after the nightmare was that she is dripping with sweat as if she had just been involved in an intense workout.
Pushing herself up from the bed, she suddenly noticed that she feels far better than what she had been feeling initially since coming to this world.
Previously, she felt a feeling of weakness and unwellness, but it was as if such effects had magically disappeared overnight.
‘Was that really a dream?’ Pondered Talia.
She did not know why, but as if intuitively she thought that something remarkable had happened to her.
Turning around she felt the sudden need to change her clothes upon noticing that they were slightly wet, glancing around she found a wardrobe-like piece of furniture. Approaching it, she then pulled the wardrobe open and found much luxurious clothing within it.
Picking out a fitting pair of clothes, she found a short skirt and leggings, which seemed to be the most practical out of the clothing available to her.
Putting them on, she walked towards the mirror seeing her reflection. Currently a girl at around five feet eight inches tall. Her long, wavy hair hanged freely over her shoulders. She has a beautiful, charming face with light blue eyes and hair, which would any person unable to deny her attractiveness.
Talia had already seen her new appearance earlier, but for some reason, she found that her whole body had changed.
Before the Princess looked both fragile and sick as if she had been malnourished, yet now her body appeared athletic looking, although it was not full of muscle, she had a slight six-pack and from a glance, it would seem that she was a person who regularly looks after her body.
She did not know how the Princess who had refused to eat much for the past year body had seemingly recovered to even better health than she had ever been in before, but she just decided to ignore it for now, as it was not as if she could do too much about it.
After her discovery, she curiously looked around a room and found a majestic-looking five feet great sword which must have weighed at least thirty to forty pounds.
Lifting her hand out to grab it inquisitively, she was expecting her ‘weak’ body to find it a difficult task to lift the great sword of the display, but unexpectedly she found it unbelievably easy.
Thinking it must be some sort of trick, she began swinging the sword forcefully, however she felt it was like swinging a wooden sword, and it was no challenge to her at all.
‘What the hell? Is this thing even real?’ She thought, having the impulse to test the great sword, she swung it at a nearby table.
*Bang!*
A loud cracking sounded as she cut the table directly in two.
‘Wow! Why am I so strong now?’
She swung the great sword again to test if it wasn’t just her imagination that she can swing such a big sword with such ease.
This clearly is a real sword.
’So did I somehow bring back the power of my character within the dream world?’
It was the only plausible theory that came to mind, making her want to test her current hypothesis.
Copying what she has done within the game, she felt for the beast soul within her, and like she thought she could feel that she could actually shift to her beast form if she desired to!
Suddenly realising something, she looked at the longsword on the wall.
‘Wait if I can use my beast soul-master skills here, shouldn’t I be able to also use the skills within the game?’
To try-out her idea, she grabbed the long sword on another display, and began swinging the sword, quickly she found a strange familiarity with the weapon, as she began displaying basic swordsmanship.
Although it wasn’t advanced, it demonstrated that she wasn’t a mere amateur with the Sword, and her skill level may even be above the average soldier who had been training with the sword for a year.
This quickly made her realise that the skills from the game definitely translates back to this world.
‘Does that mean I can actually increase my skill levels here?’
She knew that it was unlikely she could continue to gain experience in anything but the strange dream world, however that doesn’t mean she could not train her skills here, as it had already shown that some of the Princesses skills have actually been transferred into the game.
So this was an option she was sure would work at the moment. Maybe she could even ask Sir Gregory to train her how to use the sword, with his respect for the Princess, he would surely help her, right?
As she could not help but feel excited at the thought, she began testing if all of the attributes she had gained from the game correlates to this World, and indeed she found that she could perform spells to the standard of her ‘game character’, her speed, strength and vitality which has made her body more durable than before noticeable increased.
And another additional merit brought about through the intelligence attribute was that the memories of Talia were a fair bit easier to analyse in comparison to before, she felt that previously she would need a while before she would be able to completely decipher the memories of Princess Talia, but now this has definitely shortened the time needed, causing her to wonder what further unexpected benefits would she discovered by continuing to increase her stats within the game world?
Feeling the newfound power in her body had given Talia slight more sense of security in comparison to before.
‘So this is the feeling of gaining strength, I wonder what level of power would this correlate to within this magical world?’ She couldn’t help but wonder.
As Talia was feeling great about her new-found power, she was disturbed out of her thought by a knock on the door and the sound of a sweet voice, “Princess, I’m about to enter with your breakfast this morning.”
A moment after the voice sounded the door opened and walking inside the room was the familiar figure of the young girl who she had saw within her first few moments of awakening within this World, Kaelyn.
At the moment a hint of red could be seen on Kaelyn’s adorable face as she carried in a large tray, upon seeing that Talia was already up a delighted smile appeared on her face as she said, “Princess you’re up! And you look even healthier last night, this must be a sign that the worst is now over and you’re finally on your way to making a full recovery. Anyways, I have retrieved your favourite breakfast from the kitchen this morning.”

She was about to walk directly to Talia but she saw the wreckage caused by her actions earlier with the table destroyed, as Talia had put down the weapon she was carrying before she was currently unharmed so it looked a tad unusual that there was random table seemingly cleaved in half in the room of a Princess known for her sickness.
Kaelyn’s face scrunched up in shock as she said, “What happened here! It must be from last night, maybe we missed it in excitement, after all, no one had definitely entered this room under locked key from then… unless.”
Her head turned adorably as she glanced at Talia before shaking her head in complete disbelief, thinking, ‘That's impossible Kaelyn! The Princess at the moment is very sick and wouldn’t even have the to lift some of the lightest weapons within the castle, never mind having the strength to do something like that, it was probably caused by the incident last night, somehow!’
“Yes, you must be right,” Talia said casually all of a sudden, breaking the young girl out of her stupor as she nodded her head vigorously in agreement like a puppy seeking approval from its master.
“Ok! Princess you should eat this up fast before it goes cold, I know you keep saying that you don’t feel that hungry anymore, but just do the best you can, nutrition is a vital part of your recovery process.” Babbled on Kaelyn as she began to use all sorts of means to convince the Princess to eat her food.
But, surprisingly Talia didn’t need any encouragement at all as she began wolfing down the food instantly.
As a result of feeling completely famished since she has awoken in some strange world, waking immediately to a great deal of drama, she abruptly ending up sleeping a moment after, she then entered some mysterious world resembling a game she used to play and then her body experienced plenty of changes overnight, all led to her feeling greatly hungry at the moment.
However, even when she ate the food at lightning speed, her ‘Etiquette’ skill made her still eat elegantly despite the pace in which she was eating the food.
Kaelyn watched at the side dumbstruck by the Princesses ravenous appetite, but then her appearance returned to normal, thinking that this was, in fact, a good thing, after all, it greatly concerned both her and Sir Gregory that her eating habits continued to worsen, making them fear that her illness was only going to continue to further decline.
Now, seeing Talia seemingly on the road to recovery, Kaelyn couldn’t be anymore happier, after all, she had served the Princess a young age, and there was no one in the Kingdom more intimidating to the Princess than her.
Watching the Princess condition continue to deteriorate affected her greatly, as she felt completely powerless to do anything but watch the girl she considered her closest friend, continue to wither until eventually there was hardly anything of her left.
Now, the resurgence of Talia, despite her eccentric behaviour had caused her a great deal of happiness.
“Oh yes.” Talia suddenly said, “Can you call Sir Gregory, please? He mentioned about wanted to see me in the morning anyway, so can I talk to him now?”
Kaelyn paused for a bit thinking digesting the words that Talia said, before replying, “Of course! Sir Gregory would love to see you after all the importance of your condition means a lot to him.”
Therefore, after Talia finished her meal, Kaelyn left the room before returning now with Sir Gregory by her side.
“Ah, Princess. This young girl had told me you requested an audience with me?” Sir Gregory asked questionably.
“Yes, recently I found my strength greatly returning, and wanted to ask if you could train me in how to use the sword.” She asked, causing both Kaelyn and Sir Gregory to have an expression on shock on their faces.
“But, Princess your body is still too weak to handle such training… you are only just barely recovered, how could it be possible?” Worriedly said Kaelyn.
Sir Gregory nodded in agreement as he said, “She is right Princess, I would be honoured to but your condition at the moment may only worsen if you participate in such activities.”
“How about you hand me a sword, and I demonstrate that I’m capable of practising? If I cannot, I will not mention this again until you feel I’m ready, but if I am I want you to begin training me immediately.” Challenged Talia.
Sir Gregory smiled with an interesting look on his face and said, “Fine, Princess I shall agree with your request, follow me to a training room, it is a private one which used by the Royal Family, it has not been able to see much use lately, maybe that will be changed today.”
After Sir Gregory finished his sentence he left the room before indicating Talia to follow, leaving with Sir Gregory and Kaelyn walked behind, she found herself walking through the palace for the first time.
Unlike her room, the palace appeared to be less luxurious but the architecture still came across as extravagant, by quickly observing her surroundings in detail she noticed that it was if, the decorations which were formerly present had recently been removed.
Thinking that this small detail may have something to do with the Princesses illness, they continued to move down the hallway, in which a few guards passed them now and then, giving them a brief nod of acknowledgement, before getting the pack to their patrol duties.
Talia found that they seemed to be treating Sir Gregory with more respect than her, and maybe these guards may even treat her as air even despite her Princess status if it wasn’t for the presence of Sir Gregory.
‘Looks like the current Princess was not too popular.’ She thought as Sir Gregory had finally stopped outside a room, indicating that this was likely the training room.
“Alright this place is completely private, a key is needed to access it, providing the users an area suitable for secluded training without distractions.” Sir Gregory casually chatted.
Taking out a golden-looking key with a bunch of strange-looking runes on it, he plugged it into the keyhole twisting it, causing the door to light up as a mechanism activated indicating that the door was unlocking.
As the light within the door faded, a click sounded as the doors cleared opened.
Sir Gregory then entered the room, and both she, Kaelyn followed uniformly as they went inside, she straight away inspected the room.
The ceiling walls and the floor was completely made up of a type of white-marble, above lodged into the ceiling were glowing crystals planted evenly spaced with complete symmetry brightly lighting up the room.
Weapons racks were also distributed through the room, and there was a small arena with grey stone forming the rim of it. Training dummies were also on one side of the room, and some of the target practice areas were also in the corner for people who use a bow and arrow.
To Talia, it seemed like the perfect place for her to train.
Sir Gregory didn’t spare any time at all, as he reached towards a long sword at a weapon rack, she was about to grab it, but instead, he directly moved the sword away from her hand just about to reach for it.
“Nope, you will not be getting this straight away, I want to see if you even have the physical conditioning first, so we got this practice sword, don’t underestimate it, although it's wooden, the thing is almost as heavy as an actual long sword at the weapon rack, it just doesn’t carry much lethality, so it would prevent the danger from you cutting yourself at least.” He said.
He then passed he some wooden sword and directed her towards a wooden dummy.
“Alright then show me what you got.” Sir Gregory ordered.
Talia didn’t need him to say it more than once as she immediately sprang into action swinging her sword at the dummy.
Although it wasn’t a live opponent, she found that the skill allowed herself to quickly feel familiar with using a sword, as it felt natural to her, it was if she been training repeatedly for a year.
As the swing from Talia carried a loud smack, it instantly caused Sir Gregory to be astonished at her strength.
Looking at Talia inquisitively, he thought ‘She isn’t using Warrior Energy at all in her attacks, could this purely be physical strength? But how does the Princess posses such a powerful physique she was bedridden a couple of days ago.’
Sir Gregory couldn’t fathom the weird sight he was seeing, usually, a Warrior like himself would train their physique but that was only a supplement to their cultivation and strength. Primarily, they will train their Warrior Energy, which is similar to Qi, this makes up the bases of their attacks, as they infuse their Warrior Energy to increase their strength, a Warrior strength increases as they promote their tiers, allowing them to gain a higher capacity of Warrior energy and to also increase its quality making their strength increment even higher.
Sir Gregory was formerly a Tier 5 Warrior, but as a result of his severe injuries over a year ago involving the former King of the Kingdom, he had been crippled causing his strength to decrease to Tier 4, whilst permanently losing the ability to improve further.
There were freaks who had powerful physical strength, but he did not even associate Princess Talia at all being one as she has already had a fairly weak physique even before the illness, yet now her strength was already close to a Tier 1 Warrior, and that was based on just her pure physique alone.
‘A shame this is not enough for her to protect herself.’ He suddenly sighed, as before he felt a tad of optimism for the Princess being able to grow stronger but he knew that even such a physique would not allow her to compete with even the lowest Tier 1 Warrior, as he knew that the Princess lost her cultivation since the illness, she was now unable to further cultivate so there was no use even if she had a strong physique at the moment.
‘Ah well, I shall train you as promised, it should still come in handy to know your way around a weapon now that your cultivation has been abolished.’ Sir Gregory thought, feeling sorry that the Princess talent was ‘ruined’ because of having an incurable illness at a young age.
“Alright girl, I can already see that you have got the physique capable of wielding a blade, I was worried beforehand that your body was incapable of doing much exercise, but I see that is unfounded. I don’t know how your body recovered to such an extent girl, but it doesn’t matter to me at all, we will now begin you’re training with the blade now.” Said Sir Gregory.
Talia's eyes shined in anticipation of being able to finally see if she can improve her skills in the game system through these actions.
‘Let's hope this yields some merit.’ She thought, before following Sir Gregory's instructions and beginning to train her sword fighting skill.
