I am an American Crow. I was born in the residence of Washington D.C. and in the nation of Cocania. At the time I was born, the nation was thriving, and controlled the all of the stone formations and over 100 buildings. We controlled 4 entire feeding areas and had thousands of nests. Over time, though, the nation's population began to be whittled down by the neighboring communities, until we had very little military left. Then, all at once, Harukana, Foulin, Aeronia, and Geaa stormed us and took much of our territory, killing our citizens off by the dozens until only a small patch of land was left.
The land that we remained in possesion of was a feeding area near the stone formations. It was one of our most powerful feeding places and bolstered our miniscule nation's strength enough to hold off the other, now massive, nations from attacking us for a while. But alas, this was not enough, and we all knew it, so at night, I searched for ways to escape Washington D.C, and found a possible option in the planes overhead.
The planes, as you may know, are large flight machines that imitate the shape of birds. What you may not know, is that they transport humans to residences all across the world. I discovered this by using a strange drawing with green and blue sections. It had several markings all across it, but the ones I used were Norfolk and Washington D.C, as these were the only cities I had ever been taught the writing for. Both of these, I realized, were residences, as my ancestors had created Cocania after migrating from Norfolk. I then broke into an airplane station by hitching a ride on a human's shoulder and waited for the Norfolk label to pop up, and to my suspicion, when it dissapeared from the board, the plane took off in the direction of the residence.

I went back to our nation's nests to discuss the news, and after a while of telling them of what I'd seen, we unanimously decided to go to Tokyo, since it was the largest represented residence in a place I'd never heard of before, so I was sure it was free of enemy nations. So we all took turns flying into the airport until any Tokyo scribbles dissapeared, in which case we'd alert the nest and our establishment branch would then board the plane to create a base for the restablishment of Cocania.
Our remaining citizens were ordered to stockpile food and sparingly attack, mostly focusing on defense, to ensure the survival of Cocania long enough to flee to Tokyo. Four days later, many of us were beginning to give up hope, the larger tribes had taken our outer regions and we were now confined to just 10 trees. But then, when we were least expecting it, a massive flock of Aeronians swooped down and began ripping through us to get to our stockpile. They were two times our numbers but I coordinated our crows in a defensive formation and managed to generally cripple the lot of Aeronians, causing them to flee back to their nests. We lost about three fifths of our numbers, but they would probably be ready to fight again in about two days.
On the sixth day, we lost our feeding place to the Geians and Aeronians and began to burn through our stockpiles. Our country was on the brink of dissolution when one of ours came to us with a message.
There was a flight ready to Tokyo. It was time to board.
