The Map

After leaving “April” behind I began my journey north

to the blood coliseum this is a place where many people

gather some, come to watch battles others to trade treasures. Also many criminals gather to hide with the masses of people. The map says I have roughly 970 miles til I reach “Rome” the name of the city that has the blood coliseum. Move out of the way! Shouted a middle aged man who was riding a sleek black horse he was leading a company of 100 horse men with him.

I quickly moved out of the way fearing I would get trampled to death if I stayed in their path any longer. I wish I had a horse I mutter it seems the person next to me heard as he turned around and, said horses cost 100 taels of silver you’ll never afford one in your life he said, with disdain I wasn’t bothered because I was used to this kind of attitude after all I had been rejected by nine whole sects! I turned away to keep walking. At least he knows his place the man said talking to his friends it seems he's a pretty popular merchant.

Anger bubbled up inside of me but, I kept myself down after he had 12 guards wearing “tin” armor. If I see him again he’ll pay with his life I said darkly in my heart. After getting back on the path I heard some people whispering I heard that bandits are kill people in hoards up north I wonder thats what those horsemen came here for. Up north that's where I am headed I frowned I hope I don’t come across those bandits. I put my hand in my pocket reaching for my map it’s gone I sent a subtle glances around me trying to find who stole my map after all without the map I would get lost to easy.

There was only two people around me one that damn merchant the other one a guard with shabby armor. It must have been that guard I thought darkly I looked for him but, it was like he vanished into thin air. I could smell smoke at the camp site a that was 30 mins of back tracking before I got there. Thirty men were eating including that guard that stole my map none of them were cultivators so I sighed in relief if even one was a cultivator I would have to kiss my map good bye. I had to get it back but, there are too many of them so I have to wait until tonight. Then I will kill him I thought with a dark heart.

After the sun went down I sneaked into their camp armed with only a knife I was being as quiet as possible seeing that if I was caught I would probably be killed I need to settle this mattle quickly then run away. There was 15 tents set out like a grid and, one person was on watch was hiding behind a tent only 10 yards from the sentry hiding my breathing I snuck up behind him he was asleep something you should never do because if anyone caught him he would be flogged it was a common punishment on the Arctic Continent I seemed to have been very lucky probably this group was overconfident so they only had a loose punishment.

I cut his throat nice, and quick before he could make a sound I reached down and, stole his money pouch.

Hmm? He seemed to have a scroll on him I put it in my black bag that had all my “escape equipment.”

I quietly opened the tent of the guard I took out my knife and, quietly went in. What's this squishy stuff my foot had stepped on something. Aragaha who is stepping on me a guard roared! Oh god I had to get out of here I ran like a leopard and, before anyone got up I had already left it was too bad about my map but it wasn’t worth my life after all.
