"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to Evahnna! Happy birthday to you~" after the song finished, everyone clapped their hands loudly. Evahnna made a wish and blew out the candles, cheers filled the air.

"Hey sis! Grab me the knife, ill cut the cake." Elly, Evahnnas little sister said cheerfully. She had light blond hair just like her sisters and a pair of emarald eyes.

"Erm...Im suppose to cut the cake." Laughed Evahnna.

Elly looked down at her feet and muttered, "fine.."

After eating a triple layered cake (Yes, the Merlin family are indeed rich), "Evahnna, my dear. Theres gifts for you down stairs in the living room. Open them." Evahnnas mother, Mrs. Merlin said.

Evahnna hopped down the stairs joyfully, her other relatives followed. She saw about 23 gift boxes and a bag of goodies,  Today has the most presents she recieved in years! 

".......this is from Kayla, This is from Aunt Masley, this is from my brother Noah and this is from my mother." Evahnna read every single gift that said the names of her relatives on it. After unboxing all the presents, She turned and looked at a rather rectangular looking object. Evahnna reached out for the name tag, "Mother", Mrs.Merin smiled and nodded.

"Open it up." hissed her cousin Felix.

Evahnna took off the wrapper is now starring at a odd book. The texure was beautiful, It has a white cover, covered with stripes of gold, in the middle layed a perfectly blue crystal. She opens up the book, oddly there was nothing inside.

"Is this some sort of diary thing? The texures beautiful but im not a kid anymore." Evahnna said.

"I found it while walking past a abandoned street, thought you'll like it." Mrs. Merlin said.

There was absolute silence for 1 minute, thats when someone knocked on the front door. "Go get it." Mrs Merlin said to her husband. He looked out the window and saw a man with a black hoodie, "A guy is out there.....black hoodie..."

Suddenly, something blasted the door open. Everyone backed away, a man with a black cape stormed in, his two hands were glowing scarlet red and beside it looks like a book thats....floating. Everyone started to panick, Her dad tried to grab the mans arm and pin him on the ground but he failed, again..a blast of red light seem to pass through her dad. Evahnnas mother letted out a small screech, grabbed Evahnna and ran up stairs, so as her relatives. Seeing other people die is fine to Evahnna, but her dad? She glanced back at her lifeless dad, tears rolled down her cheeks. Her mother went to the highest floor with her and shutted the door, locked it and dashed in the bathroom. Evahnna followed, She locked the dolr behind her and sat far away from the bathroom door, Mrs Merlin scrambled through her purse to find her phone, Evahnna could see her mothers fingers were trembling trying to dial 911.

Evahnna looked away and tried to not think of her dad or what had just happeded, this is just a prank right? Her thoughts were blown away by the screams of her cousins, screeches of her aunt, yellings of her siblings. She was terrified....

"911 whats your emergency?" That gave her a little jump.

"T-Theres a guy in our house with red hands! And it killed my husband, were in the bathroom hiding now...Please COME quick!” The phone hung up.

After 2 minutes with complete silence, they could hear outsides police car, Evahnnas mother sat down on the floor and letted out a faint smile. Thats when the bathroom door got kicked open, The dust covered who was there. Evahnna hoped it was the polices, but no, it was the man. With some kind of force, he waved is hand up and her mother slowley rised up choking her," Where is the stone...?" He said with a deep dark voice.

"W-what do you m-mean?" Gasping for air.

"Useless." 

The man dropped her mother, at first Evahnna thought her mother was still alive, but she was dead. Her mothers eyes stared blankly, Evahnna blinked back tears, she looked back at the man with anger, he is now looking into Evahnnas eyes now. They stared deeply at each other, thats when someone yelled,"PUT YOUR HAND UP!" It was the polices, they were loaded with weapons. Evahnna saw the man open his book and flip through the pages.

"STOP WHAT YOUR DOING THIS INSTANT!"

He moved his lips and with a flash he's gone. Evahnna still looking shock was speechless, she was saved but her family wasn't.....
