Right, so I did say I would make an announcement, didn't I?
The last week has been somewhat stormy for both my mental health and living conditions. Or well, to say somewhat would most likely be an understatement.
I've been holding on, my life isn't in any danger, though I've certainly struggled to find meaning and purpose towards... All of this. Towards all of me I've poured into writing.
I am unsure how many people are to even read or care about this, therefore, I'll try to keep this as concise as I can. Wouldn't want to put too much of myself in here if no one is even paying attention. However, if you've been around you might have realized I've updated both the cover and the blurb. I want to believe they're far better than anything I had before, even if they still could be considered lackluster in many ways.
With these subtle improvements, I wish to try one more time, now with 600 pages of backlog to offer a far more stable and faster pace than what I originally had.
So, essentially, this series will soon be relaunched.
It's not like it'll be just a repost of old content. I did some work on previous Punishments —especially Ashes-1— to bring them a bit closer to a more readable standar, at least to what my current output is. I can't ask you to go through with what you've already read though, so with that in mind, it's not the only thing I've done either. For any of you that has already caught up with everything in RR, the first subchapter of Punishment VII is already available in, uh... My patreon.
Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
Cuz yeah, I've finished setting that thing up as well, haha.
I figure it might sound like a deal-breaker, to have to pay for what you've had for free til today; but it's not like it'll remain like that forever. Punishment VII will eventually be accesible through RR after one to six have finished their new release. And I, too, wish to increase my pace drastically if this is to work out somehow. Not only that, but before this proverbial relaunch (that will happen when Stampede is more or less finished in patreon format), membership will be at a lower price than the one I will later have.
For that end, in the goal of not feeding any misgiving regarding the future of Phalls that could influence your choices, these are some non-spoiler details from future Punishments to give an idea of what's to come and what's to expect:
Punishment VII: Stampede
A five+ part story with ties to the Vil'Tah and AtriumCorp.
Punishment VIII: Marche Funebre
A five+ part story with ties to the Man in Glasses. His name will be properly revealed here, though you have already heard it during previous Punishments.
Punishment IX: Dawn Chorus
A four+ part story with no seeming ties. It has them.
Punishment X: Galgentanz
A four part story with ties to AtriumCorp.
Punishment XI: Blood Cloud
A six+ part story depicting the origins of the Vil'Tah tribe and Wemahpiya Tanka.
Punishment XII: Adagio
A six+ part story. Its main character is Vincent Genessier, AtriumCorp's heir.
Once these six stories are written I plan to move onto phase-one proper of the Punisher Series as a full-length novel.
If you've ever enjoyed anything I've done here, or if you've got faith or interest on what I'll do with this project in the future.
