Disciplinary comitee

Jin sat in the dimly lit principal’s office, his body still tense from the adrenaline coursing through him. His knuckles throbbed, still smeared with dried blood that had yet to be cleaned. Across from him,V.Principal Kim Hangul paced nervously behind his desk, his face twisted with frustration and unease. The room was cramped, the walls lined with dusty bookshelves that seemed to close in as the tension grew. Two other teachers were present, their faces pale, glancing at Jin with a mixture of fear and disapproval.

The V.principal finally stopped pacing and turned to Jin, slamming his hand on the desk. "Do you have any idea what you’ve done? Those boys—Haruki, Riku, and the others—are in the infirmary right now! Their parents are already demanding answers. Medical compensation, Jin! Their families are influential, and they’re not going to let this go quietly. What were you thinking?"

Jin leaned back in his chair, his expression eerily calm. His bruised face and bloodstained clothes gave him a dangerous aura, one that silenced any rebuttals the teachers might have had. He met the V.principal’s furious glare with cold indifference.

"Medical compensation?" Jin repeated, his voice low but sharp. "Bury the case like you’ve always done."

The V.principal blinked, taken aback. "What?"

"You heard me," Jin said, his tone unwavering. "It’s not like this is the first incident of violence in this school, is it, Principal Kim?"

The V.principal’s face turned red with anger, and he stepped forward, his hand raised as if to slap Jin across the face. "You little—"

But Jin didn’t flinch. Instead, he leaned forward, his eyes narrowing dangerously. His voice dropped to a chilling whisper. "You’d better lower your voice, Principal Kim."

The V.principal froze mid-motion, his hand trembling in the air.

Jin continued, his words cutting through the room like a blade. "If you don’t, I might not be able to stop myself from telling the police about all the bribes you’ve been taking from parents. Especially Haruki and Riku’s moms. Should I shout it out here, right now?"

The color drained from the principal’s face. His hand slowly lowered, and he stepped back, his mouth opening and closing like a fish gasping for air. "What...what are you talking about?" he stammered.

Jin smirked, leaning back in his chair again. "Don’t play dumb, Principal. Or have you forgotten about the math teacher you’re having an inappropriate relationship with? Should I remind you about the time you booked a motel room together?"

The room fell deathly silent. The two teachers exchanged horrified glances but said nothing. The V.principal’s face was now ashen, sweat beading on his forehead.

"You…" V.Principal Kim swallowed hard, his voice barely above a whisper. "You’re lying."

"Am I?" Jin said, his smirk widening. "Then why do you look like you’re about to piss yourself?"

V.Principal Kim took a shaky step back, gripping the edge of his desk for support. He looked like a man standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to be pushed over.

Jin’s voice dropped even lower, cold and venomous. "From now on, when you speak to me, think carefully before you utter a single word. Because if you don’t, I’ll make sure everyone knows what you’ve been hiding. The bribes, the affairs, the way you’ve destroyed the lives of students who trusted you. Should I go on?"

Principal Kim’s breathing was shallow, his eyes darting toward the teachers as if seeking help. But they looked away, unwilling to get involved.

"I…" the V.principal began, but Jin cut him off.

"You’re a piece of shit, Kim Hangul," Jin said, his voice filled with years of pent-up rage and contempt. "And I’m going to destroy your life, just like you destroyed mine."

Flashback

The memory hit Jin like a sledgehammer, unbidden and vivid.

He had been sitting in the same office months ago, his body bruised and aching from yet another beating. He had worked up the courage to report Haruki and his gang to the V.principal, hoping—praying—for some kind of justice.

V.principal Kim had listened with a practiced expression of concern, nodding along as Jin recounted the bullying in a trembling voice. When Jin finished, the V.principal leaned back in his chair and sighed deeply.

"I see," he said. Then he picked up the phone on his desk and made a call. "Haruki, can you come to my office for a moment?"

Jin’s stomach dropped. He wanted to protest but couldn’t find the words.

Moments later, Haruki strolled into the office, his usual smug grin plastered on his face. "What’s up, Principal?" he asked casually.

"Haruki," the V.principal said, his tone stern but not unkind, "Jin here says you’ve been bullying him. Is that true?"

Haruki’s grin didn’t falter. "What? No way, V.Principal Kim. We’re friends! We were just messing around. Right, Jin?"

Jin opened his mouth to argue, but Principal Kim cut him off. "Haruki, I don’t want to hear about any more of this ‘messing around.’ Do you understand me?"

Haruki nodded, his grin widening. "Yes, sir. I’ll keep that in mind."

The V.principal waved him off, and Haruki left the office, casting a sly wink at Jin on his way out.

When Jin walked out moments later, Haruki and his friends were waiting for him. They dragged him behind the school, out of sight, and beat him senseless.

"You snitched, huh?" Haruki hissed, his fists slamming into Jin’s ribs. "We were good friends, and you went crying to the principal? You’re gonna regret that."

Jin tried to fight back, but there were too many of them. The blows rained down on him like a storm, each one filled with malice and contempt.

Through the haze of pain, Jin saw the V.principal walk by in the distance. For a moment, their eyes met. But then V.Principal Kim looked away and kept walking, feigning ignorance.

Jin’s heart broke. He had trusted the V.principal, believed that an adult would protect him. But in the end, Kim Hangul was just another coward.

Jin’s fists clenched at the memory, his nails digging into his palms. He took a deep breath and looked the V.principal dead in the eye.

"You’re a coward and a scumbag, Kim Hangul," he said. "You don’t deserve to be in this position. But I don’t care anymore. I don’t want anything from you, except this: cover up what I did today. Call it a fall, an accident, whatever you have to do. But if you don’t…well, you know what’ll happen."

The V.principal swallowed hard, his face pale. "What…what do you want?"

Jin leaned forward, his voice low and menacing. "I want you to do your job and cover it all up. You just make sure no one else gets in my way. And from now on, you follow my instructions until the day I graduate. Do we understand each other?"

V.Principal Kim nodded shakily, his voice barely audible. "Yes."

Jin stood, his movements slow and deliberate. He turned to leave but paused at the door, looking over his shoulder.

"Enjoy the rest of your miserable life, Kim Hangul," he said coldly.

And with that, Jin walked out, leaving the V.principal trembling in his chair.
