Chapter One: Her

It was intriguing. The way she interacted with others, that gentle smile she wore as she made her way around the supermarket pushing a shopping cart filled to the brim with groceries. It captivated him, or to put it more simply, it excites him.

He wanted to see her facial reactions when he breaks her, the moment of realization when she knows she’s at his mercy. The desire in his heart burns stronger every moment he observes her.

He continued observing her from afar, only occasionally moving forward when she strayed too far from his line of sight. She was meticulous, always searching for different brands to compare the prices. She was stringent, only picking the low-calorie food that she deemed healthy enough. He liked it, all of this only further compelled him to get the urge to tear down all of her personality and make her show him her true self.

Shifting his vision downwards, he browsed through her shopping cart like a book. Froot Loops, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, it was all too easy. It was as if fate had decided to give him a chance before he even made his plans.

He headed towards the back of the supermarket, the grocery section that was strategically placed at the back in order to force customers to walk through the whole store. It was such an obvious tactic, but for him it was a godsend.

As he reached the grocery aisle, he waited for an opportunity where most of the shoppers had left and carried out his plan. It was simple, milk.

He knew that she would have to finish her shopping list with milk as the last purchase since it was located at the back. He found one particular low-calorie milk carton and poked a hole on the top with his slightly rusty penknife. He then pushed the rest of the low-calorie milk cartons to the back, covering some with the normal milk cartons. Then he waited.

The only flaw to his plan? An unsuspecting shopper picking that particular milk carton.

It mattered not to him anyway if this plan failed, he would just find another plan to achieve his goal. It was almost fun, it challenged him to think of different plans and strategies. Instead, he wished for his plan to fail, so that he could think of another one.

But it was not meant to be, or in this case, it was meant to be.
