I spent some time learning about this world from the villagers’ minds and, humanity is space fairing but had a hard time keeping order, and technology was lost to time and funny enough, space.

The Main Reason was that humanity may be space fairing but having low-tech villages like this was because humanity never learned FTL [Faster than Light] technology.

A shame really that these people were living like peasants while people on other planets lived in luxury.

How the villagers knew this stuff was from people from more advanced factions. This planet had tribal, medieval, industrial, and spacer tech factions at the same time!

Another thing I learned is that there is a form of psychic abilities and that you can do this by meditating and gaining “psy focus” which is surprisingly the stuff I have been absorbing and gaining memories from.

Nothing bad happens when one loses focus except for maybe feeling tired. A real side effect of using these abilities is that it creates Heat, like a computer using too much processing power and heating up from overuse. And heat in the brain is pretty bad as I can imagine.

I noticed that when I am feeding off the mind energy It is making the person tired like one when using these said abilities.

After feeding I start feeling way better, great even. I started greedily consuming more but then the people ran out and then I couldn’t consume any more. People only gain more focus energy when they sleep, which makes a very minuscule l amount of energy. Or meditate which slowly and passively generates more focus.

The villagers tend to not meditate as it wastes time, which I don’t like as it means I can’t feed and have to wait for the amount of energy they had when I first came here.

I needed more of them meditating and praying, as praying also helps too apparently. I want to figure out how to do stuff to get them to do what I want which is more energy.

Now that I think about it, it's the same energy that can do these psychic abilities so why can’t I?

I just need to use the energy to do something to get people to gain more energy than I use. I try to think of a plan.

As it turns out, doing psychic stuff is REALLY hard to do. I did make a clump of dirt float for a few seconds but that had used up a lot more energy than I was willing to give up right now.

The more I do psy powers the more hungry I start to get. It's not feeling from my body but my mind yelling at me to have more energy.

I tried to think of a few things I could do and then thought of something. I am made of this energy and can interact with this energy. Doesn’t that mean I could change the ones in people’s too?

I head to a villager named Yalone, who was 23 and a lovely wife of Evan. I started by pushing my energy into her head, it was like trying to push two repulsing sides of a magnet together.

It didn’t seem to work but after consuming her focus first and then trying when she was asleep at night things started to gain some results.

My energy seeped into her body easily this time and then I started seeing their dreams.

Yalone was currently dreaming about the events of the day which were about taking care of her and Evan’s child and tending to the house, talking to friends and stuff, it was actually really boring and then I tried something.

I made a mental image of a rabbit and then she had a rabbit within her dream. I did a few more things that have messed with her dream a bit but she didn’t notice anything.

“Well this is surely interesting,” I said, realizing that her mind heard me and repeated it to her. This made her mind start doing some weird abstract things.

This new body or lack of one makes my perception of time skewed. It feels like I have only been here for a few hours I have been in this world but it really has been four days since I arrived as I recall.

As morning arrived, Yalone had woken up to start her daily routine again.
