The Sun collective
Bio: A religious empire founded upon the belief of the stars being the mothers of life while the ion sea is the breath of life for the galaxy. As such Mystics are elevated above all others and are the ruling class no matter their origin if one is a mystic they are elevated above others.
Mystics are looked upon as the conduits of life itself and it’s myriad of forms through their powers. They are placed in three places depending on their skills. The defenders and commanders of the military are those of the mantle order. Internal security and diplomacy is handled by the eclipse order and lastly, those of administration and general ruling in the collective are those of the star order.
The Feudal Worlds
Bio: A collection of solar kingdoms that have formed an alliance of protection guided by the council of high kings. While not overly focused on mystics their mystics are either made into militarized knights or powerful mages depending on where they fall on the spectrum of external or internal.
A highly feudal society with royalty at the top, nobility a close second, the wealthy, free men, serfs and slaves. Their laws are strict and feudal as well.

The Heavenly plutocracy
Bio: A cutthroat area of space governed by seven mega-corporations and their allied corporations. Looking to expand into new “markets” and to eventually have a stranglehold over the galaxy. Mystics are largely taken up by corporations and used for different purposes.
The Principality Alliance
Bio: A Union of Twelve regions controlled by princes of differing clan and species affiliations. Each holds their power tenuously and rule differently as well. As such their mystics are often government-employed or in hiding as there is no middle ground allowed. Three of the princes are mystics in their own right.
The Nelzoik Dynasty
Bio: An empire of the Ymir race with the Nelzoik family at its head. Near human-like though demonic or angelic depending on the subspecies with the Nelzoik family a perfect blend of both. Mystics are held in high regard as the Nelzoik are a particularly powerful family of mystics and all are guided to the paths best suited to their abilities. The nobility is a thing within the empire as a semi-feudal system is placed upon differing levels of leaders such as Barons of entire planets while Dukes would hold sectors of the empire.
The Ascendancy
Bio: A meritocracy but a restrictive one based on social class and apparent merit. Near fascist and isolationist it has hostile relations with all other factions almost to the point of war. Is seen to have expansionist views.
The Grand Confederacy
Bio: A confederacy of systems governed by three bodies. The highest being the council and the two others below them. One being a planetary governmental parliament and another focused on large corporations and their interests. Slow to work through its oceans of bureaucracy but holding a competent military wing which is beholden only to the council in matters other than defence of their borders.
The Guardianship Concord
Bio: A very patriotic nation of multiple star systems dedicated to their warped ideals of freedoms. A paranoid government that has tight internal security and highly militaristic often using the pretence of giving aid to invade and put up puppet governments on planets they want.
Wild Space
Bio: A wild west type of region of space with a myriad of factions, governments, guilds, corporations and organizations, both criminal and legal, all vying for control of their own slices of the pie. Many with dreams to stand upon the galactic stage proper among the other big factions.
