Once again I find myself staring off into the sky, wondering the same old stupid questions that could easily be answered by a quick google search on my phone. Why does the sky turn black at night? Why do some stars glow brighter than others? Why do - ...
"Hey, Ellia, Snap out of it. You're leaving the ground again."
I quickly snapped out of my thoughts, returning to reality again. I had almost forgotten that I was sitting in a restaurant with my family and friends celebrating my graduation from college.
"I'm sorry." I responded to my friend Kate. "What were we talking about again?"
"We were talking about how awesome it is that you finally moved back into town. You've been gone for 4 years!"
Kate was always very attached. 4 years to many wouldn't be so long that you felt like throwing a party when they returned.
"4 years and you still drift off into space." My brother Eric interjected into the conversation. He on the otherhand was not as festive.
"All that matters is that we are all here and all together again." Added my other friend Michael. He was always the voice of reason, making sure no conflict would ever arise.
All I could do was smile. I had everything I wanted in my life. My mother and father would glance and smile at me, asking me what I was going to do now and how proud they were. My brother and sister would bicker and pest, but I knew them better than that. They were happy as well. And my friends, they wouldn't shut up with how excited they were that I was back. Everything was...well...perfect.

"Hey I'm sorry everyone but I'll be right back. I won't be long."
Those...
Those were my final words to them all.
I had gotten up to go use the restroom when suddenly all the lights went out. I thought to myself that maybe it was just the lights in the bathroom. I soon learned it wasn't when I stumbled my way out and the entire restaurant was bitch black. I called out to my friends and family to see if they were ok. There was no response.
I began to walk, arms out stretched to make sure I didn't bump into anything. I continued to call for them.
"Mom?...Dad?..." My heart began to sink. "...Anyone?..."
I began to smell something off. It smelled like copper. As I continued to step I realize the floor wasn't what it was before. It was coated with a substance. Something wet. As I arrived to what I believed to be the table where we sat, the lights suddenly came back on. And with the lights came nothing but a single scream.
I now have nothing.
