During lunch break, dear gods, Cath really went apeshit. Screeching, clawing at Aediva like a little brat while Aediva simply bears it with the usual impassive “I don’t give a shit” look on her pretty face.
“I don’t want to enter classes if it’s this boring! Aediva, quit stopping me from leaving the classes all the time! Hisssssss” Cath hissed at Aediva, punching at her cheeks with his paws. Aediva only walked toward the cafeteria’s vendors - waving at one of the old ladies in a stall.
“Ah~ Aediva! So the rumors are true! You’re a student now!” one of the old ladies chirped. Aediva smiled, engaging in a small talk with the ladies she had been making friends with as a janitor while Cath terrorized her hair in protest to her ignorance. Arthur and Eden only stared at the girl. They looked at each other.
“Is it just me or she’s fitting in really well already?” Eden said.
“No, I feel like she’s a better student than us on her very first day. Not even a complaint and she’s just dragging Cath everywhere” Arthur replied.
“Did you saw how she pulled that poor monster from jumping off the lab’s window to escape the class? Man, I won’t give anything to become Cath right now. Aediva’s really not giving any shit today” Eden sighed, shivering a little when recalling the image of the poor feline monster shrieking in pure terror the moment Aediva’s grabbed his head on pure reflex right in front of their potion’s class lecturer. It was not the first time they saw Aediva do anything like that to Cath but each time it’s just as shocking and scary.
“I honestly wouldn’t want her to be our supervisor as well to be honest” Eden said. Arthur let out a chuckle.
“You’re right. However, she does seem to enjoy herself” the blond male student said. Eden sighed, scratching the back of his head.
“I get the feeling like she’s going to be someone I’m going to hate in the long run though…” he complained, noticing a group of girls waving at both him and Arthur. Arthur instantly looked pale, something Eden noticed as he smirked.
“Haha~ Look at Mr. Serious being all pale and scared when seeing girls waving at him” Eden laughed, going pale himself when Aediva suddenly appeared beside him. He jumped towards Arthur who immediately turned equally shocked - almost dropping a tray of lasagna and iced latte. Aediva, being unusually quick that day, grabbed the tilting tray before it fell from Arthur’s hands.
Arthur and Eden looked at Aediva, lifting the tray with one hand and her own tray full of free lunch she got from the ladies she greeted earlier - their mouths agape.
“Geez, both of you are really out of it today, huh? Did I accidentally give you brain damage from punching your face?” she said.
“Huh…” Arthur let out a sigh as he straightened himself up - feeling slightly embarrassed for some reason. Meanwhile Eden only look at Aediva with an odd look, before parting his mouth to speak.
“You look wayyyyy different than usual today, the heck?!” Eden exclaimed at Aediva, noticing how she had tucked Cath that was out cold in her sweater.
“What the hell are you on about, you unicellular-brained porcupine. I saved Arthur’s lunch from being wasted” Aediva said. Eden shook his head rather vigorously as he pointed at Aediva.
“What sorcery are you doing with that sparkle around you?!” he screeched. Aediva looked at Eden like he was some kind of madman. What is he on about, seriously.
Seeing both Arthur’s blank look and Eden’s apparent madness, she placed the trays on the empty table and flips her hair.

“Must be my natural charm” she said. Both Eden and Arthur froze when hearing what she said. Aediva clicked her tongue, seeing the two retreat wordlessly to their seats at the table with blank looks in their eyes.
“Oi Aediva, hurry up and eat. Lunch time is short, you know” Eden said. Aediva puffed her cheeks.
“... “Oh, Aediva! You’re such a cute girl”. “We absolutely notice your charm from miles away!”. It doesn’t help to help someone with their self-esteem for once ” she sighed but Eden simply reacted with disgusted look while Arthur looked away.
“You’re not that cute,” Eden said. Aediva let out a sigh as she settled down at her own seat - as usual pretending like she didn’t notice the stare coming from all directions towards her while mumbling, “What a joyous friendship”. Cath mumbled something in his ‘sleep’ and she ate the bunch of bread she got from the stalls. Idle talk starts unprompted between them as they eat. The time they’re done with their meal, they throw away their leftovers to the bin and walk back to the class.
“Oh yeah, what happened to Cath? He’s not waking up at all” Eden asked.
“Hm? He’s just tired. Babies need to sleep all the time” Aediva said with a smile that both Arthur and Eden know well.
“... You’re really not hiding your cruelty, Aediva…” Arthur sighed.
“Who cares? If he escapes class the first day as a student, someone might be mad at me for not being a responsible supervisor. Ah, that reminds me. Where is the academy’s tailor shop? I was told to take something there by that rigid secretary” Aediva asked.
“It’s the west of the Central Square. Wait, will you be okay to go alone?” suddenly Arthur asked with concern in his voice.
“Eh? You both are not going to accompany me?” Aediva asked, her eyes round as she looked at Eden and Arthur who sighed in unison.
“You gotta be big girl and do things on your own too, you know. You can’t just assume we’ll go and hold your hands everywhere you go” Eden said, quickly replied with an “Ew” from Aediva.
“WH-?!”
Before Eden could retort Aediva’s blatant disgusted reply, Arthur quickly cuts in.
“I would love to accompany you Aediva, but the both of us have something we need to do right after class” Arthur explained. Aediva mouth went “O” as she nodded.
“Well, I’ll manage. Not the first time I walk around on my own” Aediva said with the usual smile. Arthur and Eden went silent.
‘... Is she really going to be okay?’ both thought in their heads.
Why do they get the feeling she’s going to be lost again…

“So, Central Square… West…”
Right after class, Eden and Arthur looked at Aediva walked off on her own from the distance. Intently.
“She’ll be fine,” Eden said. They both know it’s a blatant bluff to ease their worries.
Meanwhile for the girl with platinum blonde hair, she looked around the main streets as she walked around. It’s odd how she’s still impressed with the sight of the place even though she did work as a janitor once. It was not a pleasant memory but maybe the experience is different because she is a student now.
Seeing the road branched off in front of her, she looked at the sign - blinking in silent as she tilted her head. She looked to the left where the road leads to a silent road with rows of beautiful trees at each side of the road. Another, on the right, full of students walking towards somewhere with excitement and cheerful expressions.
She looked at the left again. The moment she walked to the empty road, she heard fast approaching steps coming straight towards her and ended up with her two friends grabbing her shoulders while shouting in unison,
“THAT’S NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO THE SHOP DISTRICT, YOU IDIOT/AEDIVA!'' Both Eden and Arthur screamed, dragging her with bated breath towards the right way to the tailor shop.
Someone needs to save her from her wrecked sense of direction.
