Everything feels empty, it's as if everything happened at once and reverted itself. Why am I alive? No, am I even alive? I feel like I'm floating in empty space drifting along something. I can't see anything it's just empty darkness everywhere. I must be dead, where is the light I should be looking for? Something shifted around me, I felt something rushing towards me. I can't think properly I just can't understand what's happening. I got a feeling of something entering me, I didn't understand it but I suddenly felt physical. Is this some form of energy? Something unknown is flowing into me and I don't like this feeling I'm getting. Whatever this thing was spreading itself, I finally understood what was happening. Was my body being remade again? I felt like I had control of something on me. The darkness I was in flashed a bright white light in front of me. I believe this is light I was supposed to look for. I tried to move what felt like my arm but nothing would budge. I was simply floating in front of this light, another shift happened. I was being pulled in towards the light, I tried to move something but I was paralyzed. I kept getting closer and closer until everything went black again. “Is he alright?”

I heard voices but couldn't recognize any of them. I still couldn't move an inch, my body was just not responding to me. Suddenly I felt sleepy and quickly went out. “Sir he has been out for two years, all we can do is simply wait for him to wake up.”

“Listen to me he took that grenade blast and saved all of our squad me, do something to wake him up!”

“We can't everything that could be done was finished unless you can somehow make him wake up with a magic of some sort.” I must have passed out earlier, and did I just hear I was out for two years?! I tried again to move but still to no avail. Someone moved towards me, felt something prick me probably a needle. I felt sleepy again, were they making me sleep on purpose?! I blacked out again but I caught the words of someone whispering“Keep him under our control if he wakes up we will be in trouble with the higher ups."

“Kyo, I don't know if you are able to hear me but I have to tell you we are still at war. I heard rumors that a new weapon is being developed to fight the Novas but I don't believe it. You saved my whole squad from their cosmic grenade, we thought you were dead, but we did everything we could to bring you back home with us. We owe you big time for that, when you wake up, we will go to Crescent V, I know you wanted to go there one day.” I tried to move but still, I wouldn't budge, footsteps moved away from me but another came towards me. I felt another prick in my arm and once again sleep consumed me.I don't know how much time passed but clearly, something must have happened after the blast from Project Dead Space. Why am I alive though, no ship can go through a black hole and survive let alone a person in a suit. I didn't even bother to move since I already knew what the result would be. I heard doors creaking, I heard the same voice from my last awakening. “It's been two years and he hasn't woken up, you said the shot you're giving him is supposed to help.”

“ it is helping him you just have to be patient it takes time to work.”

“ I'm done waiting I don't you want to help him you're trying to stop him from waking up aren't you!”

“My what an accusation to make upon me, I have every reason to help him if he comes back this will prove my shots may actually be helping.”

“Oh really? well I don't, I demand you give me one of your shots.”

“What? You want me to give you a shot?!”

“No! you are going to be taking it!” Rumbling and shaking were happening to my left. I heard things falling on the ground and breaking apart. “No! Stop you shouldn't do this! These shots are still being examined! There could be side effects!”

“Be quiet you!” Then I heard someone scream in pain, everything was silent afterward.

“You! What have you done!” Then I heard someone fall to the ground, more rumbling was happening. Then I heard shuffling through papers, I was still confused as to what was happening. “No! You fool!” Whoever that was must have run into the person who ejected the needle into who may have been the doctor. I heard swinging of something, at this point, I wanted to see what was happening but my eyes would not open. I tried to raise my arm and I actually could lift but something was holding me down. I tried to jerk my body around but I was being held down by something.

“Freeze!” The shaking stopped, I felt sleepy again but I fought against the slumber of sleep and tried to stay awake. Whoever said freeze move towards the two fighting. I couldn't make out what was going but someone put a stop to it. “Faust these two are plotting something against Kyo and are attempting to keep him asleep for as long as possible!”

“Lies! He just injected a dangerous chemical into the Dr. Reginald without any good reason!”

“Be quiet both of you! Get up and get out of this room now!” They got up and walked away from me. Dr. Reginald? I never heard of that name before, I never heard of if Faust either. Just what is happening?

I couldn't fight back the sleep anymore and black out again. I woke up again but this time something about the room I am in is different.“Can he wake up? He took two years worth of that shot can he still wake up?!”

“I am afraid at this point he cannot anymore.”

“Don't you have some sort of antitoxin shot for this!?”

“No, we don't, that shot was in development and no vaccine was made for it.”

“You mean to tell me he will never see daylight ever again!?”

“Most likely, yes.”I can't wake up? Will I never be able to see daylight anymore?! It would be better that I died when I shot Project DS. “Can't you remove the eye covers?” Eye covers? Wait I can't open my eyes because some stupid cover is on them!? Would have been nice to know earlier. “They can only be removed by the one who placed them and Dr. Reginald will not be able to recover from the shot you gave him so easily.”

“Can't you manually remove them without him?”

“Of course we can, that is if you're fine with him being blind for the rest of his life.” I don't want to be blind personally but who knows if Dr. Reginald will even recover. “But there is one way they can be removed without issues.”

“Tell me then!”

“The wearer of the eye covers can remove them but they must be giving permission by the doctor.”

“Was he given permission?”

“We don't know all we can do is simply find out whether he has been or not.”

“Will he be able to wake up properly now a he is off those shots?”

“He might but the chances are very slim.” I hope that means I have my strength back as well. I put everything I could into moving myself, Apparently, straps were holding me back. “What?! Did he just move?!"

"It happened multiple times in his time out it may just be jerks within his body."

"No it may be more than that, why don't we take off the straps."

 I felt the straps being loosened and removed, I really understand why it feels like to be free now. Two pairs of hands holding me up, I couldn't feel any strength in my legs to stand on my own. “Kyo if you can hear me move your arms some more” I tried to move my arms around but I strangely couldn't feel anything. " He can move his arms! he must be awake how else would he be responding." They sat me down on the bed "I don't know how much control you have on yourself yet but you must try to reach for your eye covers and take them off." I reached up to where my eyes should be but I really couldn't feel anything, it's as if my sense of touch is gone. "Oh! I understand the problem" I heard some shuffling behind me and shortly a prick on my neck. My body felt freezing cold, I was shaking so much I was dropped on the bed. "Ah, he is cold now bring him the heating pads." More shuffling was happening my arms were warming up it felt like a gel was on my arm but the shaking was fading. "He sense of feeling must have faded while he was sleeping perhaps the shot should wake up his senses."

"It better not makes him sleep again otherwise you will not see tomorrow."

nervously " Of course this is a revival shot for situations where senses are lost." 

My cold chill faded and I could feel the clothes on me, my back felt very breezy but I wasted no time and reached again for the eye covers. I fiddled around what felt like goggles and pushed, pulled and rubbed every corner and crevice of it but nothing happened. I felt a round circle on the top between the eyes and tried to push it and loudly a voice answered: "System unlock request is unscannable, Denied release." 

“It doesn't appear he is able to remove them, he wasn't given permission sadly.” A click resonated in the room, the eye covers came off and fell to the ground in front of my feet. I was immediately blinded by how bright the room was and covered my eyes. The two of them sat me down somewhere and a spray was shot on my face. Glad my eyes were covered, “Don't worry this is just antiseptic it should help ease the pain you're going to feel.” I was confused, what did he mean by feel? A sharp pain struck my arm and leg, I wanted to move back but my body wouldn't listen. “These are just extra shots to speed up your recovery and adjustments.” I slowly moved my hands away from my eyes. They adjusted pretty fast, wasn't so bright anymore and finally, I could see who was helping me. I couldn't believe who my eyes actually saw, it was Haichi in a soldier uniform. I didn't recognize the other person in the lab coat, Haichi was completely different from how I remembered him. I tried to speak but it was difficult to get words out, “Kyo you can’t speak yet, your voice will take time to recover so, for now, you can speak to us with this."

The person in the lab coat handed me a holo drive, a letter came out and I immediately starting pressing the keys. The first thing I asked them was what happened, he flinched by the question. “You jumped on a cosmic grenade to save my whole squad, we managed to bring you back but that was two years ago. ” I felt my blood stop moving, two years? I really couldn't believe it I was out for two years? Then I immediately asked him what year it was, he shouldn’t have a soldier vest on unless it was decided he would fight on the front lines now. “The year is now 21XX, you were out for two years but thankfully we managed to restore your body and revive you but because of the blast you were unconscious for so long.” I couldn't believe it, 21XX that's 1 month before the Nova managed to reach Earth. “Haichi is the war still going?”

“Yes it is, they are getting closer and closer to us but we should be able to beat them back with our new tactic to fight them off.” Was I sent back in time? Did the black hole disrupt time and shot me into the past? My head started aching, this was too much for me to believe and understand. I should have been crushed and destroyed by that black hole but I wasn't. The headache was too much to bear it knocked the light out of me. Why was I sent to the past? I went out for what felt like two hours, a shock woke me up. I jolted upright the person in the lab coat had a defibrillator on hand apparently. They both were looking at me as if they saw a ghost, “I have a headache, I think I need to rest soon.” They both seemed to have relaxed and the brought me to an empty room with only a bed in it. They laid me in it and activated the life support system. They didn't say anything to me, they simply turned around and left. I laid there in the darkness bewildered by the fact of what just happened. Even before the black hole, I don't remember being in a concussion for two years nor did anyone tell me. Could it be I forgot since the Nova’s came to Attack us? I shooed my thoughts away and tried to sleep, anymore thinking and my brain is going to fry itself. At least, for now, I don't have to worry about a crazy doctor trying to make me sleep to death.
