PROJECT AROSIA VOL II: THE DARK MANSION

THE TEXT BELOW IS JUST A WRITTEN VERSION OF THE WEB PANELS. IT IS NOT AN ADDITION TO THE STORY

I begin to cry as I realize who it is: My mother.

Half of her face is charred as if it had been burned, with her pupils white as snow. She smiles upon seeing my terrified face.

“Well, my daughter,” she tells me, her voice echoing a thousand times. “Shall we begin?”

I attempt to run in panic, but she manages to hold on. There is nothing I can do now. I try to close my eyes, but even still, I can feel her deathly stare into my soul. I suddenly hear the piercing screams of countless souls. All of them begging to be saved.

The girl begins to yell in agony and despair. All the while, the mother watches in content as her daughter screams out. Suddenly, out of the thousands of voices, one of them stands out.

“Yuvia!” It yells out.

She hears it not in her mind but out in the distant fog. She hesitates for a moment but gains the courage to open her eyes. Behind her mother, a young boy stands with a golden sword in his hand. He yells out as he slashes the mother’s body. Her corpse crumbles to dust and vanishes.

“Where were you?” she cried out to Therum.

He adjusted his golden armor, which looked slightly damaged.

“I’m sorry, I got held up,” He responded. “Everything is going to be okay.”

“I trust you,” Yuvia told him.

Their reunion did not last long. After a short while, their surroundings all began to fade away. Therum quickly began to reassure Yuvia.

“I’ll find you again, I promise. Just like I always do.”

“Okay, Okay,” Yuvia began to weep quietly. Therum took a deep breath. It seemed he was about to say something else, but he faded into the darkness before he got a chance. And now, Yuvia found herself in the dark abyss, floating freely.

I don’t know how long I can last here, but I will continue to have hope. I hope that soon, something will set us free. I have to hold on to hope, no matter what.
