AUTHOR
It’s better to die than to live a shameful life.
I know that I might sound like a hypocrite when I say this but this is something that I have come to realize over the last few years. The experiences that I have accumulated over the last few years could be described as nothing but horrific, the pain and helplessness a human can experience when he is going through a bad time is enough for him to realize the true nature of the world and the people around him.
Humans only realize their true value when they are forced into terrible situations, and through the bad time in my life, I have come to realize that I worth nothing. Yep nothing, I am nothing in front of all those big shots, nothing in front of the countless talents that crowd the world and nothing in front of the vast world. I can’t contribute anything! I am just being a burden on everyone around me. Why don’t I just die!? Why am I still alive? How am I still maintaining this weak and pathetic existence!? God please kill me! Please! I want to die please kill me! Oh god! Please! Please! Please!!!
I didn’t even realize when I started blaming myself over things from the past.
I really am pathetic.
I should be focusing on the next chapter of my new novel and here I am instead of doing that, blaming and hating myself for being pathetic.
I am one miserable piece of trash, aren’t I?
Removing all the bad thoughts once again from my mind I started focusing on writing again.

CHAPTER-02
The life of an infant is truly the worst, depending on others and being forced to do things by others, throughout my time in this new world I have come to realize one universal fact, the life of an infant is a life of shame.
I pay my sincere respects to all the newborns who are forced by others to do things they don't want to. Don't worry my friends, there will come a time when you too will become adults, so that's why, after you do become adults, make sure your children go through the same hell as you did!
“Raphael, don’t be like that. Finish your milk right now! Or you are not going to get bigger.” Sister was shoving the milk down my throat.
I refuse to live this life of shame! I won't go down so easily, try your best!!!
“Noooooooo!” With a battle cry I retaliated against this messed up world, I struggled desperately with my life on the line, but...sigh...in the end, I had to give in to my circumstances and gulp down all that milk.
Such is the tragic story of an infant who can't even properly shit on his own. Is this the redemption for all the vulgar acts I committed in my previous life? Oh god, why am I so miserable?
"Now that's a good boy!"
Being applauded even after losing, this humiliation...just watch me, woman, I will make sure to pee on your favorite bedsheet today!
----------------------------------------
It has been 3 months since I last came to this world but no matter how hard I try, I still can’t seem to get the hang of drinking milk. Even in my previous life, I had a difficult time drinking milk, no matter how old I got, I couldn't help but feel nauseous just by looking at it, that’s why my mother used to mix some health drinks in the milk before giving it to me.
It would have been very convenient for me if there were any health drinks in this world but unfortunately, this world is quite lacking when it comes to things like that. As for things like tea and coffee, they are counted as luxury items that could only be afforded by the rich.
Oh, by the way, something good happened…well no, three good things happened actually.
First, I just got named a few days ago. Yep, that’s right. That cool name, Raphael belongs to me hee hee. In this world, there is a custom of naming the child after he or she gets 6 months old, this custom is called the Naming Ceremony. For the naming ceremony, children are taken to a priest who in my case was the guy who adopted me.
After the parents decide a name for their children, the priest performs some kind of ceremony and in the end, he finishes it by writing the child’s name in a directory of some sort. I guess that's how they conduct the census in this world
Second, just a few days ago, I saw myself in a mirror! And boy do I look handsome. White hair, blue eyes, and pale skin, this combination was enough to make me look like a cool protagonist straight out of a manga.
Well, jokes aside, the white hair this body has might be because of the Marie Antoinette Syndrome, a medical condition in which the scalp hair of a person turns white or maybe I am entirely wrong and it turned white because of some other reason altogether.

I looked like a healthy child with absolutely cute features. I know it’s a weird thing to call myself cute, but this is the truth. If I were to participate in a Child Contest then I would easily get the first prize but because of how I look, I have been barred by my adoptive parent, the priest to go out of the house because he is afraid that I might get cursed or something by the other locals. I guess, superstitions like that exist in this world too, well no, something bad might actually happen since this is a world of magic
Coming back to the topic, the third and the most important thing that happened is that I can freely crawl now!
Although I can’t crawl for too long because my bones hurt if I do it too much and this new body is very soft, so even a little amount of pain becomes intolerable for me. But still, learning how to crawl was a very important step in my new life. Now I don’t pee in my diapers! Whenever I get the urge to urinate I just crawl up to the toilet and relieve myself there. Well, I guess I will make today an exception and pee on that woman's favorite bedsheet, he he he.
Come to think of it, I have been referring to those two as 'that woman' and 'the priest' for some time now. Well, in these last few months, I have come to know a few things about those guys as well. The guy who adopted me is called Father Joshua. He is the only priest of this entire village and the girl living with him is called Sister Beatrice. The two of them aren’t related, they are orphans, just like me.
Sister Beatrice is a very nice lady. She bathes me every day, changes my clothes, cooks the food, washes the clothes, cleans the house, washes the dishes, and does almost every chore in the house. She’s like an all-out package of a caretaker and a super-maid, although she forces me to drink milk every day, I guess she only does that because she is worried about my health.
She loves me a lot, she always reads stories to me and she also helps me to burp after I finish drinking the milk. I love her a lot as well, she’s almost like a second mother to me.
On the other hand, the priest Father Joshua does all the outside chores, like bringing the ration, gathering donations for the church that I am living in, and performing his duties as the Priest of this village by spreading the religion and giving teachings. He is a very serious man…well that’s what I thought at first too but now that he has gotten familiar with me, I can see what kind of person he truly is.
“Come on Raphael say, ‘shit’.”
Yep, as you can see he is just an idiotic moron. Every time he gets the opportunity, he talks with me about various things like how he became a priest after he got betrayed by a woman or how smart he used to be when he was my age. According to him, he learned how to walk on his two legs when he was just two months old and, he was able to read and write from the moment he was born. To be honest, he sounded like a kid bragging in front of his friend but it was really fun talking with him, it reminded me of my own childhood when I once claimed that on my 4th Birthday I jumped from the terrace of a 5-storeyed building to catch a thief.
By the way, the village in which the church is located is called the Palan Village. It is a relatively isolated village. There is a forest located on the south side of our village which acts as our village’s main source of firewood, it is also one of the major sources of livelihood for the people who reside in the village of Palan.
----------------------------------------
The church that I am living in is filled with books, they were all donated of course, but, that’s not the important thing in here.
From all of the light novels and mangas that I have read, I decided to do what any smart isekai protagonist would do in a new world, that is, to read books to know more about this world!
In this process, I found a book named “The proud history of the kingdoms”, if you are wondering about how am I able to read the words then trust me you are asking the wrong person. Looks like I am getting too much plot armor in this novel.
Half an hour later,
Hmm…from what I have read, this is the kind of world where a person’s worth is measured by his strength, unlike mine where education topped everything. There is a class system in this world. The people are broadly divided into three categories, Royalty, Nobility, and Commoners. This system is roughly followed in almost all of the nations. There are 5 major nations, Elynisia, Inolia, Alinmei, Meria, and Darman. I belonged to the Kingdom of Elynisia.
The Kingdom of Elynisia is one of the resource-rich nations around the world. On the eastern and western sides, Elynisia is surrounded by a thick patch of forest called the East and West forest of Shural, and on the southern part, there is the Great Frost Forbidden land, a very dangerous zone where even fire is said to freeze under the extremely low temperature! On the northern side, there is the Thalassa Ocean which also acts as one of the major sources of income for this nation. The capital of the Elynisia Kingdom is the Capital City of Amelia.
There is a dual government system in the Elynisia Kingdom, there is the King and the Chancellor.
The King is the nominal ruler of Elynisia, the post of a king is passed down from generation to generation amongst the royal families. But the position of Chancellor is occupied only by the strongest person in Elynisia.
The Chancellor is the actual ruler of Elynisia, he or she is responsible for safeguarding this nation. The Chancellor has 10 teams under him which are called THE EXEMPLARY TEN. The Exemplary Ten are ten different squads of magic warriors who are amongst the strongest warriors of this nation. Apart from the EXEMPLARY TEN, there is also a group called the Border Police. The Border Police are responsible for guarding the borders. They are an independent unit made up of people from different classes. And then there is the army, the army is divided equally between the King and The Chancellor.
This is a world of magic, so most of the things in here are made up of mana,
The smallest amount of magic power that can be emitted or absorbed without getting affected by any external force is called Mana. So mana is something very similar to quantum.
A person can theoretically use magic as soon as he is born, but in reality, most people can’t use magic before they are at least 6 to 7 years old. Most people can use magic up to some extent before they turn 10.
Then, when one turns 14, he or she is bestowed with something called the Regalia.
Regalia is an insignia that gets printed on your palm during the Regalia Bestowal Ceremony. Through the usage of Regalia, one gets to have amazing powers like a boost in magic power, an arsenal of spells, and sometimes even a weapon!
Ah well, looks like I forgot to mention it but generally, a person in his entire life can only use one type of magical element. That is to say, a person can only have one Regalia symbol on him in normal circumstances. Any attempts to add more will end up in a failure.
Every country in this world has its own currency. Branzium is used as the universal alloy for all the coins in this world. The currency of Elynisia Kingdom is called Eli, there is the picture of a crown on one side of the coin and the picture of regalia on the other side.
I was reading through the book when my gaze fell on another book named, ‘The Basics of Magic’, so I picked up that book and started reading it. It was an interesting book, it contained various spells and information about different types of magic.
Then there was also a method prescribed to determine the magic element of a person. The method was pretty simple, I just had to sit in the lotus position, calm my breathing and then try to concentrate at the center of my right palm.
