“There was the Monster, then there was the Hero. The Monster creaked and groaned as pieces of it fell to the ground. The People shout cheers of joy when all of a sudden the Hero rushed back into the Monster. He never came back out, when they looked for the Hero after the Monster was finally dead, the only thing alive in the Monster was the Prince.”
The Prince was getting bored. He couldn’t remember the last time he went out of his room. Of course things were foggy for him but, determined to get out and have some fun, the Prince got straight to exploring his castle.
His castle was big and squarish made of white’s and tans with creatures of all types painted on the walls. He was not the lone resident of the castle as Orderly’s went up and down the halls dressed in robes of blue and maroon, always walking to some unknown destination. Most of the Orderly’s had faces of good cheer, like they were expecting some great banquet was to be upon the castle, others had long faces with no mouths, the Prince tended to avoid those ones.
As he was traveling in his castle the Prince got a few odd looks as he marched around. He paid them no mind; he felt quite proud of his castle and of all the inhabitants in it. Soon the Prince felt weary and thought it was time to get some food and after asking an Orderly and being escorted to the dining hall he ate until he was full, he soon grew tired afterwards, it had been a long day after all, and decided he should rest once more. Upon entering his chambers he curled up in bed and promptly fell asleep.
“When the Monster emerged it called upon its Servants. The Servants came with horrific shrieks and wailing as they called back to their master.”

The Princess Coronation was almost due, Orderlies and Servants with hushed excitement and dread told him so. The Prince was excited and confused what was the Coronation for? As he pondered this question there came a knock on the door. Upon confirmation of person the Creature walked through the door.
The Creature was strange looking, it was taller than the Prince but not by much it had long strings covering its back and its face save only for the part where two round spheres of brown stared at him.
The Prince, trying to be polite, greeted the Creature and asked for their name. The Creature responded with a guttural cry. The Prince, at this point, was thoroughly confused, soon the Creature came and sat by the Prince and asked them all sorts of questions. Afterwards they pulled a thin book and described to them a wonderful story, one of knights, heroes and dragons. The Prince was quite happy and wished the Creature would come more often. With that the Creature left the room and the Prince was left alone with his thoughts.
“Nobody thought the Monster would appear, its appearance was a mystery to most, some claimed they predicted the Monsters appearance others claimed there was no way to predict such a thing.”
The Prince had another Visitor, this one looked like an Orderly. Unlike the Orderly’s they had no robes of blue, and had a strange mask on their face. The mask looked thin and stretched and worked, with tear marks streaking down it. Its face resembled a sort of Love the Prince had never seen before. This Visitor came often and talked to the Prince. Other times it sat in his room looking upon him with its gaze.
The Prince wondered why the Visitor looked so tired. The Visitor claimed it was nothing he would learn from an Orderly later that the Visitor had just prepared a funeral worthy of a hero. The Prince's days he felt we were getting shorter he would remember walking up, exploring his castle, eating his food, and going to bed. It was getting hard to get out of bed now, the Prince wondered if he was going to be able to go to his Coronation.
“The Monster was dying by the time the Hero got there, others looked on at the horrible beast, while he looked around and could not find what he desired. Looking at the mouth of the beast he ran straight in.”
The Prince's Coronation was today and he was nervous about it, the whole Castle seemed alive with noises and lights waiting for the special day. The Prince felt it was time to go and waited until finally an Orderly arrived. They informed him that the Coronation was over. The Prince was surprised at how fast it had been and got up to follow the Orderly. The Orderly explained it was going to be all right now and all the Orderly had to do was walk through the castle’s door. The Prince, while nervous, took one step after another and opened the door to a whole new world.
