Prologue

Legends tell of a time when the world was plunged into an era of constant strife. A time when endless wars were waged on every corner of the land.

For centuries, the hostilities raged unceasingly, growing worse as time passed. Unable to simply watch as the world sank further into depravity, one of the primordial Gods, Ganeyla, took it upon herself to intervene with the world. The Goddess appointed a champion from a race blessed with considerable intelligence and a heart of compassion, yet were cursed with one of the most delicate constitution amongst all; Humanity.

With Ganeyla's gift, the human wielded her abilities as though they were his own, acting as her proxy and brokered peace with the other races. The human showered them with the Goddess of Nature’s blessing, recruiting more and more to their cause.

For the first time since the dawn of the land's blood-soaked history, a faint ray of hope shone, illuminating the world’s inhabitants of a future where they walk hand in hand. But alas, there existed an iron-clad rule between the Gods. They were all forbidden from dabbling in the affairs of the mortal plane. In exchange for Ganeyla’s interference, she was punished, stripped of her Godly status and was sent to live in the mortal realm.

Despite her fall from grace, Ganeyla had no regrets and gladly accepted her punishment. Her exile was a small price to pay for everlasting peace. As she descended upon the world, she was warmly received by the inhabitants, all of whom still revered her as a God despite her insistence that she was simply another mortal as well.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Soon, Ganeyla had grown accustomed to living in the mortal world. Every minute and every day she spent in her exile only served to further her certainty that she made the right choice, even growing thankful of her so-called punishment.

Days passed, turning into months, years, and then a decade. The world had at long last... finally found peace.

However, tragedy befell the former goddess.

One night, as Ganeyla had retired to her chambers to slumber, the human she blessed, the very human who championed her cause, set foot upon her dwelling and killed the Goddess due to his newfound thirst for power. Outraged, the subjects of Ganeyla gave chase, but were unable to avenge their benefactor.

In time, the human led an army of like-minded beings who wished to go back to the age of conflict, calling themselves the “Invaders”. The Heroes who swore their fealty to the Goddess gallantly fought against the forces of chaos that threatened to destroy her legacy. For the sake of their fallen brethren, the Gods aided the Heroes with their own blessings, leading them to prevail against the Invaders and preserving the peace for years to come.

Or so it was told.

Several hundreds of years have passed since the tumultuous war between the Heroes and Invaders. The world has vastly changed, and although the past is long gone, the scars of the world shall remind its inhabitants of events, long-forgotten and discarded into the deepest recesses of history. As the cast assembles on the stage, the story, once frozen in time, has begun to move again...
