Chapter 1 [The Boots -1-]

Chapter 1 [The Boots -1-]

On a well-known planet, there was a human named Jimmy. Everyone adored him for his looks, intellect, and well-being towards his peers. He was the most benevolent young man that you could find in a High School. Jimmy attracted girls; the guys admired him and wanted to be like him.

Jimmy's parents were proud of him in every possible way. That earned him the liberty to do whatever he wanted. He could go out to party and indulge with the girls he liked. He was free to do whatever he wanted.

So, what could be wrong with this fantastic individual called Jimmy? Well, for starters, he was a torturer. The animals feared him. The dogs and cats growled at him wherever he passed. All the animals in the zoo showed hatred towards the human and even tried to hurt him. They could feel the many dead souls exuding off of him.

He showed one face for his species and another for the rest of the living beings on the planet. Is this his story? In short, yes. For long, no.

Now, we have a Gecko, a small and innocent animal for many humans. He has no name, and it's a vermin for some people even. He is only trying to survive in his environment, a big park. The little guy spent most of his time hunting for insects or other prey in the park's woods. That's his life, but this critter differed somehow from his peers. He was curious.

He often looked for exciting stuff. Things that humans dropped on the floor of the park very often. He liked the "Shiny things" above all, like metal cans or even watches that got lost. He was odd and behaved like a crow in that aspect. He even had a cache of metal things in a fallen trunk.

Jimmy was an individual with a schedule and with no time to lose. He got one of his better looks for school and went out to fulfil his itinerary. After doing whatever a Human with high grades and popularity does in school. He got to his house and changed into something more comfortable to do one of his favourite hobbies, killing critters and poisoning cats or dogs in other suburbs.

You wouldn't think that this guy could have the means or the motives to do something so grotesque. also knowing how many people are always looking at him.

The truth is, this was an organized mother fucker. He was a psychopath; he also had a hidden backpack on the way to the park with tools to do his bidding.

He would look for animals and tempt them with prizes to trap and kill them. He wouldn't do anything to larger animals. Because that would trigger attention his way, but he was ready for almost any situation.

It was a sick thought. Knowing people considered Jimmy perfect. But this could come to an end anytime and anywhere. Karma can be a bitch sometimes, a "Justice Bitch" if you could say it that way, and she looked over the entire universe. No matter your race, species, or if you are a God even, she will fuck you twice and some more. All this if she deems it the time to pay the bills. Well, Jimmy here would suffer her justice at its due time.

It began to rain in the city, but Jimmy didn't care. He was wearing rain boots. Jimmy entered the park with clear intentions. When he found an insect, he would stomp it with force. Rabbits, squirrels, and reptiles sliced with his pocket knife. All were leaving blood trails in the greenery and the barks of the trees. The human liked to see them bleed.

Jimmy avoided the park's trail for joggers and cyclists for apparent reasons. A hooded jacket, sweatpants, and mouthguards were perfect clothes to go unnoticed. All this to prevent recognition of friends or other people he knew.

In the meantime, the lizard was hunting some insects today to satiate his appetite. He kept looking for a morsel to bite, he had nothing to eat from yesterday, and his belly grumbled with hunger. Being an odd one, he knew some places that always had something he could munch on. The gecko didn't realize that a crazy human was murdering his peers around him, even his sustenance.

He trekked to a tree near the human jogging trail. He would call it "the treasure river" for the things the humans sometimes lost or threw to the ground if he could talk. He looked for something to eat on the floor. But the hunger replaced itself with a shiver in his spine, so he sprinted up the tree for safety.

The lizard was not fast enough and got his tail cut by a metal blade. A speck of blood tinted the spot he tried to escape. He fell from the bark to the wet forest floor and tried to look at what hurt him. It was a tall human with gloved hands, a blade in his right hand, and boots stained with insect ichor and animal blood. There were even some carcasses of creatures hanging from his jacket.

Jimmy had a manic grin and a wet cloth hanging from his ear. He was looking at the critter under his feet. The gecko, terrified, sprinted with all his strength below the boots of the human. Jimmy looked at how the vermin tried to escape from him, and it was fast, he had to admit. But he would kill it in the end.

The gecko was running for his life, trying his hardest to survive its pending doom. In this park, there were rocky areas perfect for hiding. He could get inside the crevices and avoid the danger behind him. But his vitality was running low. He left a blood trail from where his tail was. It lasted for some moments until the cut clot itself. The human was looking at how the vermin was fading from blood loss.

With luck, the gecko reached the area with rocks. Jimmy could not permit that, so he hastened his step to get to the critter before it could escape. The animal, exhausted from being without food, had no energy. Worst of all, he reached near the sharpened rocks' crevices but couldn't move anymore.

Jimmy stood above the poor creature and squished it under his boots with a wet splash without hesitation. The fresh blood and the rests of the vermin were below his feet like he thought they should be.

The rain was pouring, and with a satisfied smile, Jimmy began to walk towards the park trail. Only to slip up and have his head open like a watermelon against the rock. The sound echoed around the forest. No one saw or heard because of the raging rain that permeated the city. Karma is a bitch.

But that would not be all. The souls got extracted from the recently deceased in some way by an invisible drone. It recorded everything that happened. The two souls got trapped in capsules, and the drone flew out of the planet so its harvest could never see it again.
