Chapter Sixty-Three: Root, Part Two

The battlefield lay silent, a tense calm settled over the charred ground as two titans prepared for the final clash.

Ignarok eyes burning with revenge, “Elder Vox my father allowed you to win that battle, he gave his life rather than see his dear friends blood on his hands. ” His face full of tears, Ignarok shouts “Ruler’s Hindo,”

Vox, now in control of Madness Hindo his face twisted and cruel. “Little Lord! You do not know the power of possess, not even Rulers Hindo can withstand the might of Madness. This effort is futile, but I’ll crush you and take your heart for the sake of allowing you to join your bothersome father.”

Ignarok, eyes lay low, he whispered “Rulers Fumi: Eternal Flame and Eclipse,”

With a swift, deliberate motion, Ignarok raised his great sword, the blade glinting with Dark Eternal Flame, his aura shining like the moon in the night sky. He embodied the duality of his power, compassion and ruthlessness intertwined, his strength both a comfort to his allies and a terror to his enemies.

Vox, his face twisted in a manic grin, let out a guttural roar. The Madness Hindo surged through him, amplifying his bloodlust, distorting his once-proud visage into a creature of rage and hunger. Shadows coiled around his form, his great sword vibrating with blood red, corrupted Hindo as he lunged forward, his movement quick and brutal.

Ignarok braced himself, “Rulers Fumi: Eclipse’s Embrace.” With a fluid shift, Radiant Hindo enveloped his blade, its light forming a chain in Ignarok’s hand glowing with a fierce intensity. As his vox closed in, Ignarok flung his chain, the radiant energy streaming forward like a binding light, capturing his opponent’s blade and freezing him mid-swing.

“Enough! Have you no shame for what you’ve done to our realm” Ignarok’s voice rang out, his tone a potent mixture of authority and mercy. “You can end this now. Surrender, and I will spare you from Eternal suffering you shall face.”

Vox snarled back, “such a great light show,” with a crazed laugh he shattered the chain binding him. In a voice the rang loud, “see this little lord, ahhhhh," Madness Hindo bursting outward, blasting Ignarok back. Vox lashed out, as Ignarok barely recovered his footing, with a brutal downward strike, he slams his blade down at Ignarok, the ground beneath shattering like glass.

Ignarok gritting his teeth, barely managing to block the attack. He sees Vox with a devilish smile.

“Madness Fumi: Blades of Blood,” instantly, Vox’s blood seeped from his body, coalescing into sharp, crimson blades that hover menacingly around them, “Devour” like arrows the blade fling toward Ignarok.

In a menacing voice, “The moment my blood-forged blades make contact your cells will begin to decay, causing the afflicted area to weaken and darken, a slow decay spreads with every second.” His voice growing more sinister, “This is why they found no trace of your father. He decayed into nothing.”

You talk to much, Ignarok says as he spits in the face of Vox, “Rulers Fumi: Shield of the Black Flames,” black flames engulf Ignarok, burning away any blades of blood that tried to harm him.

In a manic laugh, “Clever little lord so your father had the heart to teach you something.”

Ignarok’s face grew cold, "Rulers Fumi: Eclipse" casting a darkness over the land.

Looking around, Vox could see nothing but his blood red glow, “Think some darkness will scare me! Did you forget the power of the Burning Hawk? This darkness is nothing before me."

With the darkness covering his movements Ignarok spoke, “Not this darkness, all of your flames, light and madness will be consumed by this abyss.” He swung forward, "Rulers Fumi: Blade of the Damned,” Like a crushing wave, Vox felt the weight of his transgressions tarring through his body, Ignarok pressing down with overwhelming force.

“This is my realm!” Ignarok’s voice reverberated, thick with the weight of his power. “You will lay here in this eternal darkness”

For a brief moment, the corrupted elder paused, but the Madness relentless and insatiable, twisted his mind, fueling his defiance. With a roar, he retaliated, Madness wrapping around him like armor as he lunged forward, his blade a whirl of frenzied slashes. "This darkness cannot hold me! Torozon: Lord of Blood!”

What was once darkness now appeared blood-red mist that seeped from the ground, thickening into a dark red, pulsating fog. The mist twisted and coiled around Vox like a living entity, exuding a deep, eerie crimson glow that cast long, sinister shadows across the battlefield.

At the center Ignarok could see Vox appearing larger in form encased in a red aura as rivulets of blood coursed up from the ground wrapping around him like vines. These streams of blood were dense, almost tangible, coiling around him, forming jagged, sharp edged armor. His eyes glowed an unnatural crimson, their gaze piercing through the haze. “Only death awaits you Ignarok.”

Thought the haze Ignarok saw a figure stepping toward him, his eyes began to swell with tears, “Father”

In the voice of Ignarok's father Vox grinned, “Oh, Ignarok,” Vox sneered, his voice low and serpentine. “Such a strong ruler, yet bound by the shadow of his father. Imagine his disappointment… if only he could see you now.”

Before Ignarok could respond, the ground around them began to shift, a sickly crimson hue seeping up from the earth itself. With a sinister smile, Vox raised his hands, conjuring an infinite array of blood blades, each one hovering in the air like a crimson storm, ready to strike. The blades suspended in mid-air, they spun and slashed through the air with a life of their own, their deadly dance encircling Ignarok as they closed in.

Ignarok gritted his teeth, his mind clearing as he looked past the phantasms of his father. “Destruction is the only gift I will deliver.”

Blades of Blood began slashing at Ignaroks black flames. As he leaped forward towards Vox, “Your Torozon is nothing to me Vox!” just before his blade reaches Vox, a wave of blood blocked and pushed Ignarok backwards.

Ignarok could see Vox, standing at its center, grinning in malicious delight. His fingers twitched, and the blood blades multiplied, renewing their assault. "Your strength is nothing, Ignarok! This realm, your father, it all falls within my control!”
