A deadly strain of the common cold has mutated and threatened the twelve-year peace the galaxy has enjoyed since the war. Dr. Daniel Stat, together with his girlfriend Dr. Silvon, must race against the clock before the infection rages out of control, and fight back against xenophobic extremism, accusations of a human bioweapon, and dueling parties intent on leaving the other to die.
