Dark Night Tracking

Dark Night Tracking

As night fell again, the city lights flickered to life, and Chu Feng stood by the window, gazing at the distant neon glow. His heartbeat synced with the city's pulse, and the power within him felt more active in the darkness. The image of the mysterious man lingered in his mind, prompting him to unravel the mystery tonight.

Dressed in black night gear and wearing a hat to conceal his face, he checked his equipment: a multi-tool knife, a small telescope, and a silenced phone. Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the window, nimbly leaping onto the ledge before disappearing into the night like a shadow.

He descended the fire escape with agility, moving silently through the streets, and began tracking the man who had vanished the previous night. The bustling crowd offered cover, and he remained focused, alert for any signs of the man.

Suddenly, he spotted him—a figure in a black suit exiting a bar. Heart racing, he slowed his pace, pretending to look at his phone while keeping the man in his peripheral vision. The man walked steadily toward a secluded alley, and Chu Feng seized the opportunity to follow.

The alley was dimly lit, heightening Chu Feng's sharp eyesight. He could clearly see the man’s shadow on the ground and even hear his breath. Moving carefully, he followed, each step as silent as possible.

The man stopped at the end of the alley, seemingly waiting for someone. Chu Feng hid behind a trash bin, holding his breath as his heartbeat quickened. He knew that any mistake could lead to failure.

Just then, a black car approached and stopped in front of the man. Chu Feng’s heart raced; this was a critical moment. He watched the exchange of words between the man and someone inside the car, then saw the man produce a small package and hand it over.

Instinctively, Chu Feng knew the package held something important. Taking a risk, he quietly moved to the other side of the car. In the instant the man turned, he swiftly opened the door and snatched the package.

The man reacted quickly, lunging at Chu Feng. With no time to inspect the package, Chu Feng hugged it tightly and ran, moving like a black flash through the alley.

The man pursued him closely, equally agile. Chu Feng could hear the footsteps growing nearer, urging him to run faster. He knew capture would expose his secret.

Emerging from the alley onto a busy street, he blended into the crowd, using it to shake off his pursuer. He kept running, determined to find a safe spot to uncover the contents of the package.

He found a secluded corner in a park and opened the package, revealing a map and several documents. Furrowing his brow, he realized the man might be involved in something far larger than he could imagine.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed with an unknown number. Hesitating, he answered.

“Who are you?” Chu Feng’s voice was low and cautious.

A familiar voice replied, “Chu Feng, I know you have the package. Let’s talk.”

Startled, Chu Feng realized this game was far more complicated than he had anticipated.
