"About 200 years ago in the Land of Epic, A title paved way to the ears of the poor and rich, the young and the old. Three of the most amazing individuals to ever possess such grandiose capabilities have earned their keep under the title of the Power Trio.

One had the power of magic, The power to manipulate and create things with the power of mana. The mana fuels this mage to unlock unprecedented spells that have never been fused or created before. His brilliant mind waged countless studies and breakthroughs for cures throughout history. His spells were as calculated as his movement, some claim to not even see how fast his hands move whenever he draws the runes in the absent air. When he casts a spell, the air goes cold and the surroundings go quiet as he starts to mutter incantations. They say his mana is infinite, overpowered even that he could never run out of spells when the moon deems full at a cloudless night. He was known as the Glory Mage: Merlin, and with him, the gracefully winged steed Pegasus: Perseus.

The other was a proud bounty hunter with an agile mind. His past was as sketchy as his kill count as he was chosen by the King of Epic himself to become a representative for the Power Trio. The man was swift as the cold night’s air, as invisible as the shadows as he lurked in every corner. With a hunger for justice as well as the defeat of his enemies, he became well-known for his swift marks on his unexpected targets. Legends say that with every target he gets, his blade gets sharper, His aim, more accurate and his strategies more vile. Some claim to survive his encounter, but with either a part of them missing, whether be spirit or a limb, they always come back as changed men. He was known as the Gaunt Assassin: Theoh along with the petrifying Stone Dragon: Mir.

The last one was a mysterious noble who fought valiantly, this being with his title as his inspiration and the people he loved as a motivation. The man pulled himself from the lowest rankings of the nobles in the country to the highest just by winning every challenge he faced with his head held high and his sword held higher. They say his armour was made from the feathers of angels and the scales of dragons. His gloves woven from the Guardian of the Skies at the highest peak of Mt. Hime, His shield and sword were forged in the fiery pits of cave Ignis with the craftsmanship of a Grandmaster Blacksmith. With every swift slice through the air from this sword came only but the impact of Gods. He was known as the Gate Warrior: Victor with the forever blazing Grand Phoenix: Elios.

The Power Trio were unstoppable, unbeatable and thought to be immortal as they surveyed the lands and protected anyone and everyone who needed protection.

They were theorized as protectors in raiments of dirt, Deities in the forms of humans.

That was till the fall of The Tower, The Tower of the Gemini Doors. The doors to have been said that could bring anyone to any place at any time, one day, vanished without a trace.

War broke out as the armies of the opposing Land of Epic, the Land of Malice, attacked the kingdoms and homes of the innocent. The day when the Floris air was manaless, The day when the sun never slumbered, The day when theft had befallen the home of our hero Victor, his sword no where in sight.

That day became a dark blotch of ink in history, where our heroes tragically fell into the hands of death, their lives lost but their names never forgotten.

The loyal Guardians were done off along with their masters, as to uphold their loyalty and bond for them.

It was a dark day for the Land of Epic where the Land of Malice had reigned over as the most powerful country in all of Vigor. That is, till there was a treaty carried out by a neutral kingdom for both the Malice and Epic people.

The Kingdom of Volu, in the land of Value that resided just in between the two other lands, were known for their strong armies and rightful justice. The Kingdom carried people who believed Epic and Malice were nothing but Lands in forever discord, so they stayed.

The treaty made by the King of Volu was created to formally stop the unbalanced treatment of Malice to the Land of Epic by holding an annual competition in which to create the new generation of the Power Trio.

With this, not only would the two lands gain new heroes but from whichever side the new heroes came from would mean that the power over the lands would pass on yearly. Whether the winner be from Epic or Malice, the two shook hands and agreed to the treaty that now granted 200 years of peace.

Thus, the beginning of a new Era. “The Esches Battle Crusade” are placed into two parts. The Gate Match and The Victor Match.

The Gate Match was made for finding children worthy of being made into beginner heroes trained under commanders, armies and even kingdoms. The Victor Match will be held 6 years after the Gate Match to see if the previous winners still hold their title with worth.

From the Legends, to the Guardians, to the door and to the Esches Battles, all connect after the year of 2018, where a certain trio of friends finally manage to get their names on the greatest academy of trainees. The Victor Academy... The End."

“That’s where we’re attending right, Auntie?”

“Yes--"

"Oh! And we're the trio of friends?"

"Isn't it obvious? Well, You, Torren and Greyfell will be attending there next week. So, you better prepare yourself.”

“I will! I’ve been training with Mr. Bircham since last month! Oh, and Torren even learned how to hold his weapon now and—“

“San. Come now, it’s time to sleep.”

“Aw… Come on, Auntie S. Oooone more time! Pleeeeeease?”

“San, this is the third time I’m telling you this story.”

“I promise to go to bed, a warrior’s promise!”

“Hm… Alright, fine. But one more time and you go off to bed. I’ll need you to help me with watering my garden tomorrow.”

“Aw, again?”

“Yes, again. Now, snuggle up tight and listen. Now, how did I start this again?”

“Shhh! Mr. Bircham is sleeping downstairs.”

“Oh! Sorry Auntie.”

“Hmm… Now, where was I? Oh yes…”
