Outside the gates of a large mansion in the noble district, a cloaked woman appeared holding what looked to be large bundle of cloth.

''Stop! What are you doing approaching the lords manor at this dark hour.''

the cloaked woman obeyed the guard and stood still. but before the guard could continue his interrogation, the cloaked woman gently place the bundle of cloth on the cold ground. she then turned ran.

''Shit. Gerald, Sophie chase her down. Jerry go awake Sebastian tell him there's a situation. As for the rest of you, don't approach whatever that woman placed down it could a weapon''

the rest of the guards responded quickly and cleanly. ''Yes Captain!''

the guards flooded into action with swiftness, showing there high quality training. As the the 3 guards left to do there duty, the Captain and 2 other guards remained to keep watch over the unknown item placed at there lords gates. the atmosphere slowly grew more tense as a unknown threat lay before them. but this fear of the unknown was quickly broken and replaced shock and embarrassment

''Waaah! Waaah!''

the eerie silence was broken by the sound of a cold and alone baby.

the Captain, a little red from embarrassment, spoke first. ''Cough! Cough! It seems we may have overreacted a little. Lets get the little one away from the cold and then have Sebastian deal with this when he arrives.''

Some time later, a middle aged human man was making his way down to the magically enhanced steel gate. Along the way the human named Sebastian took his time to appreciate the garden the first wife of his master had went out of her way to procure. 'its nice to see this once barren garden blossom' Sebastian thought to himself.

''Sebastian, we should really hurry the others might in danger!''

''Calm down Jerry. If they were truly in danger the alarm system would have triggered. I'm sure your captain has the situation under control. you should have more faith in your superior.''

''I... Your right my apologies.''

The guard the butler continued on their walk to the guards station. When they arrived the first thing they saw was a unusual sight of the guards and there captain trying and failing to stop a baby's cry.

''What in the name of the 7 gods is happening here.'' Sebastian asked in genuine shock. even for the experienced old man, who much older then his appearance may suggest, had become confused upon entering the break room of the station. the sight of 5 people hushing and shushing a baby was something he never thought he would see.

'' Pass the child to me. Once I get him to be quiet some one explain to me what's happening here.''

After a moment Sebastian realised the child was just cold so he wrapped him up in cloth and brought out a small magic item from thin air. he then placed under the cloth he wrapped around the crying baby. After the magic item quickly warmed the child and he soon stopped crying. but in the prosses of doing this however he found a hidden letter in the cloth. Sebastian decided to pocket the letter and read it after he had received an explanation.

Once the baby had quieted down, the captain promptly briefed the butler of what happened before he arrived.

The butler asked with both curiosity and displeasure. ''I see. thank you for the explanation but if I remember correctly there are only 6 guards at the main entrance and all of you are here so who's chasing the woman that appeared at the front gates?''

Sophie quickly answered before the captain could take the heat for her. ''While me and Gerald where chasing her, she seemingly vanished into thin air. But neither I or Gerald could sense any movement of mana. instead it felt like she was... erased from existence''

Any ordinary man would think Sophie was an absolutely awful lair but Sebastian was no ordinary man nor was he an ordinary butler. He was the personal butler of Michael Sicarius the current lord of the sicarius family! So it is to be expected that such a man is very high level and possessed many skills to aid his master such as telling the truth from lies. Such an skill has its limits but Sophie to low of a level to resist his skill. Thanks to this Sebastian discovers that Sophie truly believed that this woman was vanished into thin air or was erased as she put it.

''erased... but what about teleportation?'' Sebastian asked quickly trying to wrap his head around the situation.

''I have a space affinity sir. I would have sensed space fluctuate. even if it was a high level space magician or magic item, space would still ripple unless a space magician was there themselves to silence the random ripples.''

''I see... is there anything else I should know before I leave?''

No one among the guards spoke up, but before Sebastian could take his leave with the sleeping baby, the guard captain spoke up and asked a question. ''what will become of the child Sebastian?''

''You do not have to worry. the child will probably taken to an orphanage or the church.''

''I see. thank you for informing me Sebastian.''

''Alright if that's all you should all get back to your duties. I'll handle this matter''

Sebastian walked out of the guard station and slowly walked down the road leading to large and lavish double front door of the main manor. Whilst on his leisurely walk he read the letter he found stashed in the baby's cloth bundle. He brought out the letter and a gold engraved letter opener from seemingly, thin air but any space magician worth his salt would tell you the butler had a spatial storage skill. Sebastian carefully cut open the letter and pulled out the contents within. Sebastian did so while keeping an eye out for any mana movement, just in case the letter was a booby trap. After analysing the letter in more detail he found it to be a ordinary letter. He flipped it open and read the contents.

Dear Sebastian,

The child my avatar has handed over to you possesses the blood of the sicarius family. I ask that you and your Master raise the boy. of cause I don't expect you to do such a thing for free so as payment I will bless the youngest daughter of the sicarius family with a divine blessing and rid her of any curses that accompany her blessings.
