If so, you may want to read Polarized, a story about a girl with ice powers who wants to become a mage in a country where magic is illegal— or at least that was what it was supposed to be about. But somehow a rich kid who got kidnapped by accident, an illusion mage with a talent for lying, a big angry metal dude holding a grudge against a flightless flying lizard dude with a penchant for arson, the flightless flying lizard-dude’s androgynous psychic owl babysitter, a gossip girl with telepathic powers, a creepy necromancer child, a reclusive chlorokinetic, a workaholic healer, a wannabe-healer-turned-serial-manslaughterer, an old lady who sets off explosions for fun, religious zealots, and magical flower drugs have all found their way into the mix. Don't ask how it happened, just read. Or don't. It's your choice, really. What to expect: -fantasy setting with modern-day technology, set in an alternate version of Earth -soft magic system, with the magic itself being influenced by the user's mental and emotional states to some degree, highly flawed, and may potentially cause more problems than it solves -female MC, but the narrative switches between multiple POVs so it could technically count as male lead as well -multiple installments/"books" under this work; separate chapters will be dedicated to cover art and individual blurbs for each part of the story, and chapter numbers will reflect both book and chapter (example: 1.10 means book 1, chapter 10) -yes, there will be romance. Yes, some of the pairings will be between characters of the same gender -possible isekai plot in later chapters.
