The world of pokemon was vast, no longer were towns 4 houses or markets 8 stalls, this new game bridged the gap of pokemon perfectly.
All 8 generations pushed into one region, the pasho region, complimented with a battlig overhall to damage making them more dynamic and moves making all pokemon usefull in some way. I couldn't wait to use plasma fist electivire or strength sap togedemaru.
The world was also looking up, pollution was being healed slowly, the new EU overseer revolutionised business making it more detrimental to launder. Heck even the middle east settled down and began building countries that show real arab ingenuity.
I would never get to enjoy those though as this morning i woke up in an unfamiliar bedroom and soon discovered what would be the worse and greatest thing to happen to me.
"Im in hoenn? The region? But... pokemon was overhauled... why." I questioned nobody in a bit to settle my growing anxiety.
" Calm down, im in hoenn 3 months before the league beggins thats not a bad thing... i need to get a starter"
As i though about the prospect of a starter something in my mind burst, memories of my life in this world before my awakening, the reason for my awakening, everything came to me and when i looked at my hand i saw a shiny grey pokeball in it.
Yes thats right, i died and reincarnated here with my memorial unlocked, my only wish was for my pokemon to wirk like the new games, to be unbound in pokemon moves. I suppose this pokemon is just a gift to get me started.

Now outside in my parents yard in littleroot town i decided to meet and test my new friend.
"Come on out" i calmly said as a red beam coalesced into the form of a togedemaru, the small ball like pokemon looked around the small clearing gingerly before meeting eyes with me, a burst of joy suddenly overcame him as with a single hop he managed to to bound onto my shoulder with a shrill cry of happiness.
After the minor shock left me and my shoulders got used to the extra 3 kg sitting on my shoulder i addressed the little guy. "Hey toge, wanna show me your moves, ive gotta do a ton of research on your species and show you around today so we better get this done quick. Toge looked a bit sad it had to leave its perch but still jumped off and began to use its moves.
First toge was pushed himself of the ground with a slight flicker of white energy before smashing at the ground. Tackle and a strong one at that. Next toge dislodged the spikes in his backs and a small wave of electricity blasted in each direction for a meter or so. Thunder shock, not the best output for an electric type but still useful. Next a shell of white energy coalesced around toge before becoming transparent. Defense curl. Next toges spikes came out again as i could clearly see his electricity get stronger. Charge. Finally toge held a light blue energy in his legs and bounced up in the air before crashing back down making a crater in the ground. Bounce.
I need a physical electric move, and iron head, glare would be useful to para ground types too, maybe i should have him learn magnet rise then. The racing thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the garden gate opening and the rotund man known as professor birch entering
" my oh my, i thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but there really is a togedemaru here, hmm... that might be dangerous since they have no heat vents. Wait no whats a togedemaru doing here anyway Josh."
"Its my starter, i always wanted to be an electric specialist but i could never get a pokemon till my parents agreed, since they went missing months ago and the new league year is starting soon i made an executive decision to get my starter."
Birch gave me a stern look which soon broke into a nervous chuckle "haha, i suppose its for the best, with brendan and may already on their journeys for a year youd be a mit jealous. Just leave the search for your parents to police Josh, the danger isnt worth it."
"That was the plan, why dont we show toge to the whole town with a mock battle tonight, 7 pm. I need to order my journey stuff by the pelliper express"
"Hmm sure but it wont be easy, see you josh, come to the lab so i can give you some things and we can do the battle there." Before he went Birch released carvine, who fixed up ground, made some grass targets and even a small obstacle course that i see being really useful.
