Hey! So I'm dropping this fic, that's the bad news. Why am I dropping it? Because I failed to take into account a number of things to be honest. The biggest thing was power scaling. I was trying to avoid making it a 'Level Up!' type thing, and forget to put in a replacement. Plus the whole idea of C, B, A, and whatever ranked trainers and pokemon was decent, but also really limiting and didn't work well with what I wanted.

So, to avoid having to basically rewrite fucking everything, I'm dropping this fic. But!! BUT!! I am writing another.

Not the same story, not even the same world, but I'm taking everything I liked from this story, and all the lessons I learned, and applying them all to a new pokémon story.

Basic summary, Set on Earth, the whole world goes to sleep at once. When they wake up, the world has been changed irrevocably. There are far fewer people in the world, and they've been scattered around in loose communities in what remains of towns and cities. More than that, what seem to be some buildings and objects from the pokémon world have been almost grafted into the world, such as pokécenters and pokémarts. And of course, pokémon exist now.

The story follows Rayn Valance as he wakes up in this new world and struggles to adapt to fiction becoming reality. We follow Rayn as he slowly becomes a Pokémon Trainer and helps forge a disparate group of settlements, and towns to create their very own pokémon region in this new world!

Hopefully you all like that idea. I'll probably come back to this story and rewrite using a lot of the systems and rules from the above story at some point.
