Why?

*Vroom!*

*Boom!*

When another fireball hit an orc's body, creating a loud sound that echoed through in the white nothingness while burning his green skin, Leon, as he used his other hand for casting spells, was constantly swinging the Torchlight with one hand to deal with the orc wave.

*Raaargh!*

Howling a battle-cry, an orc passed his other fellow race member's dead bodies to approach Leon from behind.

Raising his ax to release all of his power on to Leon, he landed his ax with all of his strength he could collect in his arm in one strike.

Amid his attack, Leon, like he teleported to somewhere, vanished from his sight when the orc felt an immense pain in his arms.

The orc couldn't even process what happened to him. Until he looked at his arms, he couldn't even give a meaning to why he was feeling pain. It just made no sense to him. Just a second he was there, behind him and nearly killing that human until he suddenly vanished, then he felt pain. And now they, his arms, were lying on the ground while still gripping his ax's wooden hilt.

The orc just stared blankly as blood still splattered from her amputated limb when he felt the cold steel just one inch away from his neck.

Holding the Torchlight on the orc's throat, just in case, for finishing him off whenever he wanted, "Let this be a lesson to you, never shout when you are trying to kill your enemy silently," Leon advised when he slashed the orc's throat before walking towards the others.

While the orc's hot blood still drips to the ground from the blade of Torchlight, "Hmm, 25 gone, and 5 remains," Leon checked his imaginary scoreboard.

Spinning his sword in a fancy way in his hand, causing the blood on its blade to fall drop and drop to the ground, "Now, how should I take care of you guys?" Leon asked the remaining ones.

*Raaargh!*

Hearing the insult in Leon's voice, all five of them started running towards Leon.

Looking at the orcs that will attack him from five different directions, Leon smiled.

"How kind of you guys to leave me the choice," Leon said when the orcs were only 7 meters away from him.

To finish this human that doesn't know his place once for all, the orcs raised their axes when the smile on Leon's face disappeared before mumbling something.

"Taste the hell, [CRIMSON FLAMES]!" Leon said in an icy voice when the flames covered everything around him, excluding the orcs.

Showing no mercy, starting from the orcs, flames burned everything around Leon that they touched.

Leaving behind smoke and a disgusting smell, burning from their skins to internal organs before continuing until just leaving behind their skeletons, flames melted the orcs' bodies while making a crackling sound.

[REMAINING TIME UNTIL THE NEXT WAVE: 30 Minutes]

"Huff! Finally, all of them died," Leon said while sitting on the floor to rest.

"They really are more tough than they seem. But, it's weird, why don't they have names? Hmm, now thinking again, the abyss creatures didn't also have any names. Hmm..." Leon wondered how things worked since the one who created here didn't give him a user guide when he first came here.

Sometimes he would ask himself questions like these in his free time, like why he is here, what is the point of fighting if he just will be revived at the end of the day, or what will happen to him after completing every trial. Well, Leon actually has some theories, but he has nothing that is proven in reality.

And it might sound silly as he fought with many frightening monsters and powerful enemies before without fearing from them not at all, but what Leon is most scared of is obscurity. If it was someone else in his place, he would probably be afraid of being alone. But for Leon, loneliness isn't even a problem, as it is a thing he already got used to since his childhood.

After that very day, every person who entered his life was just fake to him. To Leon, they would pretend they cared about him and actually all they cared about was their ego or seeming nice to the others. It was a fake reality that he was stuck in it. But what else could he do? He just accepted that fate...

Maybe that was the reason why he didn't choose to leave here? Maybe because he feels some kind of freedom he couldn't feel while he was living. Even though this place seems like some kind of incarnate of hell. Or maybe he still feels a need to keep his promise? Leon doesn't know...

But in the end all of these questions will be answered by time, so the only thing he can do for now is doing his best and keep moving forward and forward until the end of this hell.

When his 35th idea came into his mind, "Hey system, do you know why?" Leon asked.

[UNKNOWN COMMAND]

"Ah, I wish you could talk," Leon grumbled.

[REMAINING TIME, <10> SECONDS]

After realizing how time really passed quickly by looking at the panel, "Oh, seems like fight time has come," Leon said while standing up to ready himself.

As the light trembled to give life, "Let's do this!" Leon said while unsheathing the Torchlight.
