I wake up from a long rest as its the first time I’ve been entirely safe since I got the Seed, I slept longer than I should have though as I feel incredible hunger even though I have hunger suppression.

At least this intense hunger is useful for something. I should go find something to eat though before I starve. I uncurl from the ball I was in to conserve heat and squeeze back through the crack in the wall to the tunnel. I look around and don’t see anything unusual nor can I hear anything unusual but I still will stick to the shadows as I move just in case. I go left when leaving my new home to avoid the green giant that killed the giant rat yesterday, it might not be around still but it went that direction after hunting so it probably lives somewhere down there. I smell the air to search for the smells of food I recognize: blood, flesh, sap, anything edible really.
I set off down the tunnel searching for food or maybe some small bugs to kill as I feel the pain in my stomach from hunger. I smell some fresh dung which isn’t unusual in the tunnels, even though it usually gets washed away by the water, but it always attracts flies and maybe some juicy beetles. I follow my nose to the stench, intermittently standing on my hind legs smelling the air, as I turn a corner there it is a huge pile of dung making a small mountain towering over the water, a small light from a tunnel going straight up above the pile illuminating it. Small insects are flying around the pile which is just what I needed.
I jump off the walkway across the water onto the pile of dung, while not the most pleasant thing to stand on, or walk on, or be around, or look at the flies around it could save my life. I manage to catch two flies as they land near me and the Seed of Potential tells me that I got 1.5% of a level from killing them but I’m still starving as they were tiny. The other flies seem to be wary of me now having seen two of them die at my jaws so they don’t land near me and at the slightest movement on my part they take to the air to escape my bite. I have an idea that will be difficult and might not work but I’m starving so I have to try it. “SPRINT” I activate while running at one that just took to the air and I leap with all my strength chomping it as I fly majestically through the air, or at least thats how I picture it, biting down on the fly. As I applaud myself on my skill SPLASH I fall straight into the water.

Uh Oh :(
Looks like you’ve contracted Flesh Rot from the water
As I swim to shore I hear the ding but cant pay attention to the notification as I’m trying not to drown. I unceremoniously drag my soaked little body onto the stone walkway of the tunnel I look at my notifications and am surprised as I’m not quite sure what the last one means.
*DING*
Flesh Rot is a disease found in the sewers that causes large patches of scabs on the skin and weakened stamina, It can be fatal but since your race has natural resistance to diseases in the sewer you’ll probably be fine :) although it would go to the skill shop to weaken the symptoms :)
“Skill Shop”
Skill shop open :) You can search by key word or see what is recommended for your situation by thinking “Recommended” :)
You have 3 Skill points :)
KEYWORD: Disease
Searching…
Here you go :)
Disease Resistance - Cost 1 - Harder to get infected with disease
Fortitude - Cost 2 - Slightly reduced bad effects of diseases, poisons, and increased stamina. Will unlock new “Fortitude stat” as a sub stat of endurance
Disease Immunity - Cost 10 - Cannot be infected with a disease against your will
Disease Control - Cost 20 - Nearly Immune to the bad effects of diseases and can alter diseases in your body and spread them to others more easily
Disease Creation - Cost 20 - You can create new diseases and level them up like you can yourself, cannot alter created diseases without the appropriate skill
As before some are hidden because they are locked or irrelevant :)
I guess I’ll get Fortitude.
Successfully purchased Fortitude :) Try to put your free stat point in End it’ll help ;)

I feel power bristling inside me as my organs strengthen and my muscles and bones become more sturdy.

As you can see the fortitude stat is based off your endurance but it can be raised separately through special effects :) and if you want you can put free points in it too although its not as efficient :) Since it wont effect you much and it won’t go away soon I’ll hide the flesh rot effect under a new tab labeled “Diseases” :)
Alright Since I’m sturdier than ever despite having a new disease I’ll go and try to level up now to get stronger, while being able to kill a few flies is nice if I ever run into anything like, the Giant Rat ,or the thing that killed it, I’ll need to be stronger to even survive a single attack. Time to GET BUFF!
