Rain awoke in a small, confined space. He pushed his arm against the wall in front of him, and it moved with his push. It wasn't much of a wall at all; it felt almost like a gel barrier. Rain grabbed at the gel barrier, and tore it apart with his strength. Light shone into his eyes, and he raised his hand to shield them. After adjusting to the light, he looked down at himself and realized luck was not with him—he was no longer human.
"This was probably the work of the being who cursed me," Rain muttered. "Couldn't even let me be human after you ruined my first life."
Rain raised his arm toward his face. He had blue skin and only four fingers. What even was he? As he familiarized himself with his new body, he noticed more oddities. While his hands had only four fingers, his feet had five toes. He had very small, dagger-like teeth only on the top of his mouth, an unusually long tongue, and his hands and feet had pads on them that produced sticky fluid when he pressed down on them.
Rain turned around and looked at the ball he crawled out of or I guess his egg It looked like a snake egg but he clearly wasn't a snake Rain assumed he became some sort of anthropomorphic frog or newt species but had skipped the tadpole phase, this was a different world though so maybe the rules were different here.
At least he wasn't forced to live in the water. Rain took a step forward He needed something to cover up with, While he didn't have usual human genitals he still had frog stuff to cover up. Rain walked toward a large tree and compared his height to it, If it was an average-sized tree he stood at just above four feet.
Rain pressed his hand to the tree, and it stuck. He placed his other hand slightly above the first, and once he was sure he was secure, he started climbing. Initially, he moved slowly, but gradually he picked up the pace, eventually almost running up the tree. When he reached the top, he looked around to get an idea of the land. While searching for clearings in the forest, he was distracted by a large structure in the distance—a giant glass wall.
Rain grabbed some leaves and weaved them together into basic pants. "Who would have thought being forced to sew would come in handy like this," he thought to himself. He climbed down from the tree and headed toward the glass wall.
As Rain marched through the forest, he heard something stomping closer through the foliage. He quickly rolled into a nearby bush. A large creature emerged, towering almost to the height of the trees. It was very large and muscular, with deep gray, almost black skin, and moose-like antlers protruding from its head. The strangest thing was that it was wearing pants and simple leather armor across its torso. The giant moose-man was holding a handful of small, ugly green creatures and was also marching toward the glass wall.
Since they were going the same way regardless Rain followed after the creature slowly making sure to stay quiet.
Rain followed the beast for roughly thirty minutes and finally made it to the wall, Rain had seen other monsters but they avoided Moose-Man like the plague.

The moose-man walked up to the glass and tapped on it gently. A man dressed in a nice coat appeared on the other side of the glass. The moose-man dropped the twelve little green creatures in front of the glass.
The well-dressed man smiled and said something that Rain couldn't hear, Then the man lifted his hand and a large great sword fell into the dirt in front of Moose-Man. The behemoth grabbed the sword and let out a roar of dominance, the beast was surely the strongest creature apart of this weird experiment.
Moose-Man walked off back into the forest, and as Rain was attempting to slink back into the forest he felt an energy seize his body and pull him closer.
Rain came face to face with the man who had just taken him hostage. The man looked him up and down, his gaze lingering on Rain's handcrafted pants. Smiling, the man spoke directly into Rain's mind.
"You're smart. I like you. At first, I was simply going to feed you to a more secure investment. But that look in your eye... I have a feeling you'll be the one I take out of here in a year. Consider this a gift."
The man snapped his fingers, and a pair of black martial artist pants fell to the ground, along with some white hand wraps, stomach wraps, and a leaf shaped like a single-edged blade.
Rain knew better than to disparage what little blessings he had; the last time he did that, he froze in the streets. Released from the man's grasp, he quickly put on his new clothing. Somehow, the man had made clothes that fit him perfectly. Rain picked up the leaf blade, and although it was made of plant material, it was as solid as steel.
Rain gave the man a polite nod of thanks and headed back into the forest. Now that he had proper clothes and a weapon, he only needed food. He thought back to the small green creatures the moose-man was holding; he could probably take one on by itself, but if he came across something weaker, he would fight that instead.
Rain climbed up a tree above a forest clearing and began to wait, sword at the ready. He saw many creatures pass by in groups, but he wasn't ready for that kind of challenge yet. After hours of waiting, he finally found an opponent he could take on. It was about the same size as he was, furry, with razor claws on each hand. It looked like a mammal version of an owl that couldn't fly.
Rain jumped from the tree, sword pointed down at the creature. His blade made contact, slashing the monster across the chest. He quickly jumped back before it could retaliate. The creature faltered, taken by surprise. Seeing its hesitation, Rain leaped toward it, swinging wildly.
The small furry creature parried Rain's sword slash with its claws, rebounding his sword and launching a counterattack. Rain rolled backward, avoiding the monster's strike, and then jumped forward with a thrust. He closed the distance with his powerful jump, but the furry monster moved faster than expected. It quickly jumped to the side, avoiding Rain's thrust and slashing him across the side.
Rain rolled to the ground, clutching his side. He rubbed his skin, and a viscous liquid oozed out, which he used to cover the wound and stop the bleeding. Standing up once more, Rain jumped at the creature. The monster raised its claws to parry, but instead of slashing, Rain hit the ground and rolled behind it, stabbing it in the back.
The monster howled in pain, but Rain ignored it, pushing the blade further into its back. He then pulled the sword out and sliced the back of the monster's neck, severing its head. The monster fell to the ground, limp. Wasting no time reveling in his accomplishment, Rain took a bite out of the creature, swallowing the nutrients.
After calming down lines of light started to form in front of him the lines twisted and formed into words.
"Congratulations on reaching level one, your early achievements have propelled you to new heights. The god's servants are singing your praise."
Rain looked on in shock, maybe he was cut out for this world.
