Ch. 2 Setting out
With everything sorted out were escorted back into the throne room where my classmates that are staying will receive a detailed explanation of what they will be doing, while for those of us who are leaving will receive basically our severance pay.
As were all walking back with nothing better to do I start glancing around and taking in our surroundings due to the sudden shock I was unable to focus before on the beautiful art work and lavish furniture decorating the halls and rooms we pass. With every new scene I couldn’t help but wonder why they would need to summon us when it looks like they aren’t suffering financially so they could easily hire adventurer’s if they have them in this world or more soldiers for the army.
As we begin nearing the throne room doors I couldn’t shake the feeling of distrust rising and sense we have yet to hear the full extent of our summons worry sets in. After walking into the throne room I notice a handful of new faces each quite different then the other, starting from left to right we have an old man wearing robes giving of an aura of power, a tall man clad in plate armor engraved with many designs, and a woman that gives of a cold vibe with her calculating icy gaze.
After setting in with our positions side by side are focus goes back to the king as it seems he will be explain the current state of affairs.

Welcome back heroes as your aware we have new faces in the room with us, as I had stated earlier the ones staying to assist will receive training from each of our finest personnel in the field of magic, war and knowledge. There are still tutors available in other subject that you can request for at a later date but for now we will start you with the basic to survive in our world.
As for the ones leaving we will grant each of you a pouch worth 300 gold split between gold, silver and copper. With this amount you can use it to live comfortably by buying a house and land, start up a business or invest in gear to adventure out into the world the choice is yours.

After receiving my pouch and getting escorted out into the world I couldn’t think of what to do so I stood and watched the bustle of the city pondering my options. Thankfully nothing happened but I’m still irritated that no further explanation to our summons was given but no point dwelling on it for now.
With a decision made I walked up to a passing man where I might find the crafting guild if there was one, with luck it turns out that there was but not entirely it is a sub-branch of the merchant’s guild so I must join them before transferring over. After receiving the directions, I was quite glad to find it quite close by due to being in the nobles district.
Quickly I start heading to in the direction of the guilds location while planning to first get a position in the world set to call my own in my head, as the time passes I start to hear the bustle of my surrounding coming to a slow droll noticing this I can’t help but sigh in resignation, everyone stopped to look at the weird figure walking around with a creepy mask. Getting frustrated and irritated at the people due to my thinking it’s a new world masks shouldn’t be to strange right well I was wrong.
Before I get into unneeded trouble I quicken my pace to reach the merchant guild as soon as possible, ignoring all the comments and whispers I finally reach a huge building marked as the merchant’s guild. Now when I think guild I was along the though process of wooden structure with swinging western bar doors nope it was a massive structure seemingly carved out of white marble with many detailed statues of a man, woman and balancing scale.
Guessing that it symbols balance or something I take another quick scan before heading inside. With my entrance a strong smell of spices and other aromas assault my senses causing me to get dizzy for a second before a calm sweet voice calls out to me from a counter. After noticing she was talking to me I quickly approach the counter as to not waste her time, not knowing the full procedure I ask if I would be able to join the guild and quickly got an affirmative but with a couple requirement that need to be met.
To join the guild, I must invest 10 gold while providing my information while having a class or profession that correlates to one the branches. The branches consist of Blacksmithing, Woodwork, tailoring and other such professions. If one cannot fit into any of these branches they are unable to join they can also be deemed inadequate as the guild invest into their members, they must have at least some potential or proficiency.

Confirming my decision to join she passes me a clipboard with the signup papers, quickly feeling in the information I walk back up to her ready to turn it in, she begins to explain that they require a 10-gold signup fee that cannot be reimbursed if I am deemed unworthy. Agreeing I pass her the 10 gold and proceed to sit down as I must wait to be tested by a member before being cleared to join.
After waiting roughly 30 min with no signs of my examiner I decide to pull up my status screen hoping for more information than the basic scanner in the castle. As I call at status in my head I blue screen showing me all my information and stats appear in much more detail than before.

Not quite understanding my stats I call out each one individualy to see if I can get more information for starters.

Well looks like I got lucky all my masks were brought with me to the world probably due to them being soul bound to each persona, also got myself a decent starter set. After I finished review my current state I notice a man approaching the counter that has a badge wondering if something happen I notice the woman I spoke with earlier is pointing at me. As soon as she does the man turns around and notices me he then starts approaching me. Hoping I’m not in trouble I patently wait for him to get to me.
With his arrival he proceed to introduce himself as Alex head examiner and that he was here to test me for my membership, he then guides me down a hallway into an examining room where I was to use the materials provide to prove my skills that will be judge for my approval.
With no time limit given I approach the tables filled with different materials and so I pick a glowing white log and proceed to carve into it with my crafting set, with the focus on making a beautiful masquerade mask with a feminine yet mysteries appeal. As time passes my hands move with masterful streaks with the final product coming closer and closer to fruition I enter I state of tranquility like I did in my own world.
Not knowing how much time has passed I come out of my tranquil state and look over my finished product, with realistic feathers coming from the tip of the eyes next to the nose flowering out pass the temple, and delicate wild life and nature carved into the framework with maximum focus and precision giving the piece and almost life like feel where it’s as if nature if growing around you.
Satisfied with the piece I turn around looking for my examiner before noticing he was right next to me drooling with eyes glazed over like a madman, calling out to him and bringing him back he proceeds to barrage me with questions on where I learned and mastered my skills and if I would be able to make one for him but more manly, laughing at this before asking him why he is so exited he tells me that the wood I just carved was placed here as a joke due to its legendary quality but being unable to be shaped because of its magical density.
Understaning that the material I used was quite valuable I beagn to panic and ask if I was in trouble, to my surprise he was actually trying to give me more of it so I could carve him one aswell. Calming down and ignoring him for a sec I examine my product trying to see if the material gave it any magic effect (you know magic world and all J. As I was staring at it intensely and examining every fine detail a blue screen pops up saying I obtain the ability [Examine] once the screen disappeared a new one popped up with the masks stats.

With my test concluded I was officially welcomed as a member of the merchant’s guild with my affiliation in the woodworking branch. After everything was processed I was granted a Master crafter position with all its benefits as well as a badge signifying my connection to the guild which grants me access to multiple benefits and access to any branch around the world.
With my long day finished I head out marching into the setting sun with more work set for me in the days to come.
