Summer Games Done Quick is coming up in about a week (July 4th starting at 12:00 noon UTC-4 through July 11th at 1:30 AM UTC-4). This is a charity speedgaming marathon to benefit Doctors Without Borders / Medecins Sans Frontieres and is their single largest source of donations every year. It's a very good cause and an entertaining event. I encourage everyone who is the least bit interested in video games to tune in. There'll be an event either ongoing or being set up 24/7 during the marathon. You can check the schedule at the link above if you want to see specific games.
I want to encourage people who can afford to to donate. As such, I will be offering commissioned chapters to everyone who sends me a screenshot of their donation confirmation (please redact sensitive information). Every $1 you donate will earn you 100 words. For anyone who donates $10 and up, I'll get with you on an individual basis to work out the details of your commission. Anything less than that wouldn't be much of a chapter on its own, so for sub-$10 donations, I'll pool everyone in that range together and work out the resulting chapter(s) as a group. You can also decide to pool your words together with someone in specific if you prefer.
Almost everything is fair game for these commissions. The only hard restriction is that I won't write anything against Patreon's or RR's TOS (so no direct incest, etc). I'd prefer to write happy chapters rather than dark ones, but that can be discussed on an individual basis. If you're in doubt, please feel free to message me before you make your donation. I'll work with you on it, I promise! Yes, this means you can commission lewd snippets/chapters between any two (or more, given enough word count to do it justice) characters you want (above caveat aside).
Depending on the contents of the commissions, I may ask permission to make them canon and post them as public bonus chapters. I won't do that without the commissioner's OK, though.
Once the marathon starts, GDQ's website (again, linked above) will have a donation link. Follow that and it'll walk you through the process. I've donated before and it's pretty straightforward, but if anyone gets confused, contact me and I'll walk you through it.
For those of you who just can't afford to donate at all, don't fret about it. I've been there myself. Just keep that in mind for next year or the year after when things have turned around a bit.
