Chris continued walking in the dungeon but he was cautious, he didn't want to alert too many goblins at the same time. Even though he was pretty powerful, he only had a weapon and no armor. Against a bigger group of enemies, he would suffer.

Eventually, he got to two doors, one was a little bigger than the other. The only weird thing for him is that he didn't encounter any other goblins so far, but he still didn't know how the dungeons worked.

'It looks like I have to choose which door to enter, and I'm guessing the bigger the door the stronger enemies Ill face'

Without thinking much he chose the bigger door. He'll get stronger faster that way. Who knows where he was, he needs all the strength he could get.

Just as he touched the door the surroundings changed. He was now in a bigger area and there were five goblins in the middle.

'I should be able to take them on'

He checked their stats and they were no stronger than the previous goblin, some were even weaker.

Chris made the first by using 'Pounce' on one of them.

Without a second thought, he slashed with his dagger and killed the first goblin. At first, the goblins didn't notice Chris but now all their attention was on him.

A goblin tried attacking him, Chris easily dodged but another goblin struck him on the back.

"That stung you bastard and now it's my turn!" said Chris as he turned around stabbing his dagger directly in the goblins head.

Now there were only three goblins left! Chris struck one of them dealing 20 damage, then he retreated. He was faster than the goblins and he could easily defeat them just by striking and retreating. Just like that, he defeated the remaining goblins.

'Devouring' them all he got one point in AGI, 5HP, and two points in STR. Although he wanted skills the most, every stat point he gets is useful.

A weird roar woke him up from his thoughts.

Another goblin showed up but it was bigger than the others!

Chris attacked first by using 'Pounce'. He needed more skills all he has is 'Pounce for now.

Just as he tried attacking once more the hobgoblins sword flashed and slashed Chris on his chest.

That slash took one-third of his health! He quickly retreated.

'Damn! That was probably his skill 'Quick Slash', I should be more careful next time.'

Suddenly Chris got the idea to use 'Inspect' on the hobgoblins skill instead of him.

Range: 3 meters

Cooldown: 30 seconds

'Nice! Looks like I can use 'Inspect' this way as well. I must lure his skill so I can use 'Pounce' once again.'

Chris dashed to the hobgoblin stabbing him into the leg dealing 20 damage. The hobgoblin screeched in pain wanting to attack Chris, but Chris was quicker he retreated once again and the hobgoblin missed him.

Chris dashed once again and just as he got closer he saw that hobgoblins sword was flashing. Noticing that he stopped in his tracks. Just as he stopped the hobgoblin slashed at an astonishing speed but his sword wasn't long enough to hit Chris.

'My turn now!'

Chris used 'Pounce' dealing 31 damage and with one more slash, he defeated the hobgoblin!

Level Up!

With him leveling up all his injuries healed. Now it was time for him to 'Devour' the hobgoblin.

Got four points in AGI, one point in strength and, the skill 'Quick Slash(D)'.

'Wow! I got more than I expected, maybe because it was three levels higher than me? Let's see how strong am I now.'
