6. - RWBYS: Three Years

As Summer thought of the surprises Silva had brought her. Qrow entered the kitchen and asked “Tai?”, “He went to pick Ruby and Yang from the school” Summer answered, after that she asked “What did Ozpin ask you to do?”

“Not much, just that the remnants of Project Tripartite had started to move” Qrow answered seriously. “What? Didn’t we destroy them, years ago?” Summer asked shaken.

“Yeah that’s what we thought, but Jimmy found a leak in the Atlas Department. They seem too had found a backer, because of that Silva ability had been revealed. And they are looking to obtain him, thankfully Ozpin never revealed much about him. So the only that know of his appearance are the five of us”

“But after finding about him, they will not give up. Those crazy guys will do almost anything, just like he is the key for Ozpin’s plans. They seem to have their own”

“Doesn’t that mean he will be in the middle of conflict? What is Ozpin thinking? Is he using him as a bait? And you think its fine for him to contact the White Fang? What if Tripartite have people inside it? You heard of their internal conflict. You are all putting him at risk! He is only eight!” The moment Summer heard Qrow, she almost when mad. It was easy for her to tell what Ozpin had been planning, after all she was one of her confidents.

“Easy there Short-stack. I know why you think that, but it’s necessary. In fact they won’t making a move any time soon. That’s why Ozpin gave me mission, he wants to destroy them before they try something. And about his contact the White Fang, it’s something that could benefit us all. This is something Ozpin agrees with, so don’t worry about his safety. Glynda will be supervising him.”

Hearing Qrow, Summer could only comply. In the end, she understood that out of all of them. Qrow was the one that cared about Silva the most, as you could see how similar they were. He was probably the one worrying the most, but his trust for Ozpin held him back. Sighing once more, Summer stopped talking and continued cooking.

Inside the Shed. Silva used state of the art technology in order to complete different prototypes, at different from the wooden exterior. The inside of the Shed was furnished with top equipment fueled by a small reactor, courtesy of Atlas Tech. After Ozpin sent the markings toward General Ironwood and reaching an agreement. The General immediately used his power in order to provide him with equipment.

“This should work, now I only need the right materials to make it”

Finally after some time, a small barking at the distance broke his concentration. It was not much longer before someone made her way in the shed.

A little girl with a two tone short hair and a small red cloak, made her presence known through her loud voice “BROTHER!!!!” hugging him from the back of his chair, she spun him around like a normal thing.

Finally moving her little head in front of him, she said in acutely manner “Hi”. Every action of her looked as if it was rehearsed before, Silva couldn’t help but laugh while looking at her. Looking her every movement he could only sigh in defeat and rub her soft hair, Silva could never get mad at her.

After all this years, the small Ruby had become one of his weak points. After smiling foolishly for some time she took out of nowhere a bunch of papers, “Look Brother I completed my weapon design” Ruby said proudly of herself.

Looking at the amount of papers, Silva couldn’t help but rub his temple and said “Ruby I told you before. You should choose less transformations, how many forms does this design has?”

“Ehh! But there is only eight this time!” Hearing Ruby respond Silva couldn’t help but admit defeat, this little girl and her antics.

As if answering for him, another voice came from the entrance of the shed “Ruby I told you before. You cannot make a weapon transform many times, it’s unrealistic. You have to specialize on one”

Looking at the entrance Silva smiled as he saw a blonde curly girl and said “Hey Yang, How was school today?” Hearing him, Yang answered with a bright smile on her face “Great! Today in training, I beat all my classmates with a big yang”

“Seems like you are still unstoppable” he answered back with a smile, making Yang nod confidently, turning to the other girl Silva said “Ruby, what Yang said is true. Your weapon can’t have too many forms .The structure becomes unbalanced, you should choose a base form to specialize in”

“Mmm! But there is so many of them” Ruby complained while pouting. Hearing her, Silva smiled and told her “If you are able to choose within a week. I will a special mark on your weapon, just as awesome as my Damocles mark”

“OK! Then use a scythe, after all Uncle Qrow looks so cool with it” Ruby immediately answered “Don’t forget your promise Brother”, hearing her change her mind completely Silva said with a wry smile on his face “Looks like I got played”, making them laugh.

“So Sil, it’s only Ruby that gets special treatment?” Yang asked in a doubting tone, hearing her ask .He couldn’t help but show her the same smile, while he though how much this girl loved to compete with Ruby for some reason “Of course not, I have already though of a special marking for you”

“Great! This is why I like you so much Sil”

Sighing Silva said “You only need to send me the final design, I’ll be sure to send you back the weapon”. Immediately after his words finished, the two girls shut down and the room atmosphere turned depressing. “Are you really leaving?” Yang asked with sad face, even Ruby couldn’t help but bite her lips.

“Hey what’s with those faces? It is not gonna be forever you know”

“We know, but is going to be for a few years at least right?” Yang asked. “Hey is not like we are not going to see each other, you can always come to visit me during the Vytal festival and vacations right?”

Hearing Silva say that. Both girls stood in silence until he finally said “Come here” opening his arms. Silva hugged both of them as he relaxed them with words, he knew that they had become attached to him. Ruby after class, followed him around all day, while Yang always used any excuse to hang out with him. Later on when they finally calmed down, the three of them heard Summer call to eat and leaved the shed.

Next morning Silva leaved the house towards the airport together with Tai.

“I understand Uncle Tai, it’s the third time already”, Silva said towards the blonde man next to him, “Hey Silva. You should know, good hygiene is the key to success”

“I get it Uncle! But we haven’t been on the road for more than fifteen minutes, and is the third time already”

Hearing him say that, Tai couldn’t help but give a wry smile, “So are you prepared?” Tai asked while looking at him.

“I am! This is only the first step, so we must succeed” Hearing him answer so confidently, Tai didn’t ask anything more and just said “Ok! But don’t forget that you are not alone”

“Thank you, Uncle Tai!” Silva said as he looked at him. After that, time moved faster. As they joked about a few things and talked about both girls. Finally when they reached the airport, before he leaved the car, Tai told him “Don’t forget to call at least once a day, the girls will go mad otherwise”

“I understand! Take care Uncle” Silva said one last time before entering the airport.

When he finally reached Vale, after leaving the airplane. At the entrance of the airport, Silva found a beautiful woman waiting for him.

Going towards her, Silva called “Teacher Glynda! It’s nice seeing you again”

“It’s good to see you, Mr. Branwen. Now that you are here, we can move towards Beacon immediately”

“You can be less formal, Teacher Glynda” Silva told her, as he saw her display her stern attitude “No can do, right now you are a valuable partner. So even if you are a child, there must be a certain amount respect” Glynda answered immediately as she moved out of the airport.

Following Glynda they both reached a limousine, which took them directly to the Tower of Beacon.

“Oh! God! I truly can’t handle her, she is too scary” After reaching his room, Silva thought as he laid down the bed. After reaching Beacon, Silva meet once more with Ozpin in order to talk about the last steps. Finally after that, Glynda took him towards his room. And the whole time there was this awkward silence between them.

For Silva. Glynda reminded him of a strict teacher, he didn’t know how to speak to her. Finally Silva’s day was over, and before he went to sleep Silva called the Xiao Long-Rose Household. And after an hour of talking he finally drifted in to the dream land.

Truly for him, there was not much things to do in Beacon but continue his investigations and do basic training. After all, the meeting with the current leader of the White Fang was scheduled three days after. Taking his time Silva started making designs of structures which were not weapons, during the past three years. He had filled his head with knowledge of weaponry and aura markings, but it was finally time for him to start researching things outside weaponry. In fact the amount of design that Silva had bought outside armaments were of small quantity. This was because, this kind of designs were expensive.

For example, the Vessel Building Manual from the Horizon series. Varied of price depending of his classification, the smallest wyvern class vessel design costed 25 thousand points. While the price of Cloud bike’s Fenrir, costed him 9 thousand point. Three times more than cloud fusion sword. Worst of all, is that Silva had to modify each design to suit the world laws.

Because the amount of books, designs and marks he had to buy over the years. His points had never exceed a certain amount, while his currently points were the highest he had ever had.

Which were 8 thousand points, not even enough for many designs the system had. This was why he expected to finish the next main quest as soon as possible, in order to obtain the hundred thousand points.

Three days went by fast. At this moment Silva was seated on Ozpin’s office, talking with him before the White Fang meeting. “So did General Ironwood scientists came to a conclusion?”

“They did, in fact at the beginning they were a bit skeptical about the power of the markings. As they used to say that it was related to the magic of the olden days, which for them was unbelievable. But after examining the marks, they concluded that your power worked just like a circuit, and the reason for the continuous power of your energy gathering mark. It’s because it contains a part of your soul”

“You mean like sentience?” Asked Silva, after all even though he understood how to use his power. Silva didn’t completely understood how it worked. This was why, he was most willing to share his markings with Atlas Tech.

“Not really sentience, but more like a thought. They came into a conclusion, that when you mark something. The purpose of why you do so, becomes the fuel of the mark. Much like an order”

“They came to this conclusion. When they tried to use their aura and mind, to overwrite the first tier mark you sent and got destroyed on the process. They could only do this after you sent the third tier mark, and they made sure to record as much as they could”

“So my power is not as omnipotent as I thought then” Said in conclusion Silva.

“Not really. You see, it took them a lot of time until they finally were able to send their thoughts into the mark. So during battle is nearly impossible to do so, as the bigger the size, the harder it becomes. So in the end, they concluded that even thought is possible to stop the marks, is impossible to overwrite them”

“Interesting” thought Silva.

“The most incredible advancement. Is that after using the information, you gave me. They had been able to replicate 77% of the functionality of the first tier mark, and while compared to your markings they are easily disrupted. They are easily made, so they are happy to announce it as a new field of investigation”

“After hearing this report, General Ironwood immediately accepted your proposition. And a team of researchers will be making his way here in a week”

Hearing the last sentence. Silva couldn’t help but feel surprised, after all he only proposed this towards the General a few days ago., when he came to Beacon.
