The village’s secret
The dream of emeralds was the first MMORPG to succeed to give emotions to the NPC, thus, making it popular amongst the people and shocked the world. Not only that, even the quality of the environment and even the 5-human senses itself were too shocking. One could not realize that he was in a virtual reality if he was sent without knowing in the game.
Back in the beta-test, streamers who tested the beta-test was taken aback from the huge differences in quality compared to others virtual reality MMORPG. They explained that the feeling inside this game compared to all the virtual reality games until now couldn’t be found anywhere else. The feeling of the wind, the feeling of hunger, the pain from receiving a hit, everything was so real that all the testers could only note 5 as the best game they ever played. Ash Belvan was also one of them. His parents received the beta-test, thus he also tested the game before it opening.
Recalling the beta-test tutorial who was still having bugs issues, he was looking at Akali’s back and followed her for now around thirty minutes.
The memories of the ninja school teacher Akali from Ash weren’t detailed. The few moments with her was only on the earlier level, thus, after reaching level thirty, Ash didn’t know what happened to her. The only information he knows about Akali was her level, her serious attitude and few of her skills.
The ninja’s village was situated only six kilometers away from the beginners’ town, thus, it took around an hour of easy walk to reach the village. Akali’s pace was fast, so they were faster than usual.
It was only after 300 meters away from the village that Akali decided to ask something related to the ninjas’ academy to Ash and slow down her peace.
“We’re going to reach the village soon. I’m going to show you around then we’ll register to the ninja academy.”
Finishing her sentence, she went ahead alone and talked to the guards who were patrolling the ninja’s village’s entrance. Ash who was slowly coming next to them noticed their strange glances.
‘This is strange… The first time I came there, they weren’t looking at me with those eyes…’
Ash was accosted to those hateful eyes from the people since young. He was causing a lot of troubles to the people in his family thus, they were all looking with him with the same hateful eyes for more than ten years.
Ash didn’t succeed back in college, so he had been beaten quite hardly by his older brothers, aunts and uncles because of how much troubles he had caused to his parents, making him leave the house after his failure in college and live in an apartment instead. Thus, he secluded himself in the world of gaming because of that, and didn’t meet those eyes hateful eyes not even once until now...

He knows that every NPC had their own values of thoughts depending the player, but it was the first time meeting them since his character had been reset, so they shouldn’t have any negative thoughts towards him.
Wondering about what he did wrong to them, Akali lead him inside the village.
What Ashe didn’t know in that time, was that it was all a misunderstanding…
* * * * * *
The traitor fled away with 200 hundred forbidden scrolls of our Valoran academy and why the hell I must to guide a damn newcomer in the village instead?!
At first, I accepted master Zek’s request because I respected him, but why me, Akali the Fist of Shadow must to do such a meaningless mission such as guiding a newcomer inside our village?
Right now, as we speak, this traitor Zed must be learning all the forbidden techniques and form a rebellion against us, so why are we peacefully letting him go without doing anything? On the top of that, from now on we’re going to recruit and form newcomer to become a ninja? This is really a funny joke, right?
As I was thinking such madness thought of the guy who was following me, he was unexpectedly rather calm after noticing all the hateful eyes from the villagers.
Honestly, our villagers hated most of people outside the village. Even me, back in the time, when I had been adopted by master Zek’s daughter, Zenith, my adoptive mother. I was still a child and had been found near the village unconscious.
At first, it took me more than 2 years for winning their trust and became part of the village…
Thinking back about master Zek’s decision of letting newcomers inside the village, I could only sigh and show around.
After reserving a room in the inn near the academy, I introduced the newcomer to my friend Kennen and directed towards the observation tower, the only place that can relax me and make me feel at ease. It was a special place for me that the whole village know, it was my favorite place.
The gentle breeze, the nostalgia of my first time there and the remembrance of my dear adoptive mother… All these complicated feelings swallowing inside my stomach, the hateful feeling towards Zed and at the same time the unforgivable sin I’ve done…
I can’t forgive myself for helping Zed to betray master Zek, even now, the lingering feeling still remained after all this time.
You may forgive me, but I can’t…
What should I do?
What is the correct thing to do?
I know it very well.
I’m just running away with the thought of now knowing it.
While looking at the beautiful sky, footsteps could be heard from behind me.
“So, you were there Akali…”
An old and recognizable voice reach me. Turning my head, I motivated myself and spoke.
“It was the place where mother love more than anything else that’s why…”
Master Zek, who was also my adoptive grandfather walk next to me and with a sigh said.
“It’s time for you to forget the past and live correctly your life… don’t be blinded by the thirst of revenge and just live as you wish. It was my daughter’s wish after all…”
Even though he said those lines, master Zek knows my personality thus, he didn’t insist further and looked at me.
Since I lost my mother, He knows that I’m always there when I’m filling sad or reproachful to myself. That’s why today, he knows that I’ll be there.
“Don’t take all the blame for yourself. It was also my fault. As a chief leader, I, didn’t lead you correctly and make a foolish mistake to freed my brother Zed from his sceal…”
“Don’t say such foolish things! If not for master Zek’s decisions, our clans could have been destroyed!”
I know that he’s blaming himself since mother’s death and also punished himself for that, thus, it was heartbroken for me to also blame him. Looking at the beautiful red sky and the sun that was setting, I swear in my name that I will kill you and take my revenge in a thousand folds.
