This fanfic was supposed to be a daily one but it took me 2 days in order to put up another chapter so I’m really sorry to whoever is reading this. My voice echoed as my consciousness drifted deeper and deeper into the dark abyss.
[???]: Welcome to the land of the dead Kain!
A beautiful woman with long golden hair and a white one piece shirt was currently standing in front of me while carrying a book.
“Huh? Thank you?”
Didn’t I die? where exactly is this?
[???]: This place is called the evaluation zone. People who die have their souls sent here for evaluation.
“I see and who exactly are you?”
[???]: Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I apologize. My name is Mika and I’m going to be your informant during your stay here.
She continued skimming through the book that she was holding.
[Mika]: Let me get straight to the point. You are going to be reincarnated to a world of your choice. What ever you become in the other world will be decided by your life record or in some cases the directors themselves might intervene and decide for you.
I nodded a bit to agree and continued listening.
[Maki]: You seem rather calm. Most of the souls that pass through here lose their composure right about now.
“In my world there were a lot of stories about reincarnation so I guess I kinda got used to the idea of being reincarnated after dying.”
[Maki]: I see, Well then without further ado time to send you to the renewal center.
The room was encompassed by a bright light and something suddenly appeared right in front of my face.

A universe where the humans reign as the most superior species. The humans started their existence on Earth where they grew and started to expand their territories throughout the whole galaxy.

Zeran - Spiritual World
Ruled by both the Angel and Demon clans the 2 races are separated by a barrier that both race created. Due to their decision to only open the barriers every 50 years, The war between the 2 major races has become something like a sport allowing those who wish to live peacefully to do as they wish.

Kainan - Converged World
3 Worlds formerly separated into Kanon, Integra and Aneurin became 1 during the event called the convergence. Integra and Aneurin are currently in a state of war while Kanon due to their inability to oppose either of the races, was absorbed into different sides.

“Why is the Human world locked? Why did they even put that on the list.”
I guess that leaves me with 3 choices Phantasma, Zeran and Kainan. Normally I would’ve picked Phantasma right away. Dragons, divine beasts and magic? It definitely sounds interesting but the other world called Kainan sounds interesting too. Zeran on the other hand sounds like a monotonous, unchanging world. Not my kind of place.
After thinking things through I decided to go with Kainan as it sounded like the most interesting out of all the worlds.

“Well you only live once! Ah wait, I guess that saying doesn’t work anymore.. Confirm!”

Sigh, I ofcourse expected them to erase my memories but.. To think that they would just say that fact so bluntly.

A few minutes passed without anything happening.
Well this is unexpected. To think that I would be experiencing lag even after death.
“Anyone ther--?” Something appeared right infront of my face once again cutting my sentence halfway.

"Huh? Something is off.. Didn't it say that the directors decide what your form will be in the new world?
A list of races were shown to me but It didn't provide me with any information at all so I couldn't tell what's what.
Kelthian? Zolas? What the hell are these races!? How am I supposed to pick one when I don't even know what these races are? What if I accidently pick an insect race or something.. That would really suck.
Having no way to know what these races were, I decided to just randomly pick one.
"Oh, what the hell let's just go with this one called Zver. I just hope it's a humanoid race or at least something with limbs.

Status points? This is becoming more and more like a VR game.. Though it would be nice to suddenly wake up and realize that this was just a game.
“Haha.. Even the attributes are similar to the rpg games I used to play.”
A screen showed up in front of me displaying the 5 basic stats that I can distribute my points into. Strength, Agility, Endurance, Intelligence and Dexterity.
“Hmm, it seems that I have 10 status points to distribute. Well since this feels like a game might as well do what I always do. Strength all the way!”

Within a few secs my vision darkens as my consciousness is taken from me.
“...”
Minutes passed Then hours yet nothing happened. I tried to move a bit but it seemed like my movements were constrained and it kinda felt gooey so I stopped right away.
Of course I knew where I currently was, I was obviously in my mother’s womb but the fact that I was conscious was really weird. After around an hour I suddenly felt a tugging sensation.
“Oho? Is it finally time?”
I felt my body being brought out of the womb and into the world. As soon as I was out I quickly spread my arms as much as I can and smiled.
“Hello world!” No matter what happened in the past or how absurd my reincarnation process was, I was still really happy to have a chance to live again.
I shouted as loud as I can afterwards but it seems that I wasn’t capable of speech just yet so I ended up just wailing loudly.
[Nurse(???)]: My, what an energetic kid. It’s the first time I’ve seen one smile right away.
[Man(???)]: He probably would’ve lived a good life if he was only born earlier..
It seems that the language that they are using is the same as the language in my world. And what was that guy talking about? How dare he be so depressing in front of a child!
[Woman(???)]: Give me my son. I wish to name him at least.
The girl who seems to be the nurse slowly carried me over to the woman who seems to be my mother. Though her sad tone concerns me a bit there’s nothing I can do at the moment except listen to their conversation.
[Woman(???)]: What a calm and beautiful expression… I shall name you Haru may you be the sun to light our path during these dark times.
“Thanks mother I’ll rate it 5/10 so I guess it’s good enough.” Is what I wanted to say but It only came out as wails or cries.
I fell asleep afterwards. It seems that I expend a lot of energy no matter how trivial my actions are. As I slowly fell asleep I could only think of one thing.
“I wonder what tomorrow will be like?”
