Darkness had fallen on the school's premises with only the dim light of the moon coming through the windows to support the weak light coming from the skylights.
Inside the library sat a single boy... a cursed boy. An hour left before it was time to head back home. He'd take that chance to study as much as possible. Alas, there was a distraction.
Although Andrew's desire to study due to his habits and ambitions was strong, the equal curiosity produced by the ghost in front intrigued him.
'I still don't understand why I can touch things now, see...?' Sophia took a chair and started to lift it up and down.
"S-Stop that, what if someone comes? they'll think I'm cohabitating with a ghost".
'You are, Andrew...'
He tried to study, one minute he'd focus on his notebook. The next minute all the tables and chairs in the library were piled up in a tower shape.
!!!
"What the fuck are you doing?!" He never thought he'd see the infamous paranormal event of arranged furniture happening in life. It turns out the ghosts were having fun all along?!
When he finally caught sight of Sophia, he gasped.
"Hahaha!~ this is fun, isn't it, Andrew? I actually can't feel the weight of these things... it is as if gravity doesn't work on me anymore?" She said with amusement, seemingly unaware of her condition.
Her body was levitating in the air with a big table in her hands, trying to arrange it on top of the chair tower that was surely going to crumble.
"Y-You're flying, Sophia..."
"... am I? w-wait I'm fly-! AHH!"
She fell from the skies like a swatted fly and yet again something ridiculous occurred. Half of her body phased through the floor but from her torso above she remained in the room. Funnily enough, it was as if she didn't manage to fit through a circular hole and what had stopped her descent were those massive lumps of hers resting on the ground.
"Help me up, I don't know what's happening anymore!"
"..."
*Gulp*
Instead of helping her, Andrew's gaze nestled on those boobs.
'Stop staring pervert! I'll haunt you!'
"Shut up, you're already haunting me..." He took her hand and pulled her away from the 'hole'. Sophia remained in his arms for a few seconds before they separated awkwardly.
Andrew went back to his table to finish his routine but Sophia didn't seem convinced. In the end, her 'art' didn't crumble, but the boy was sure to get a scolding for it.
'It doesn't matter... I can always say a ghost did it'.
Andrew sat down but his gaze drifted towards the moon in the distance.

"What do you want from me, Sophia? I already said I'd help you and your father. I try to do my best, so why are you causing trouble for me?" Instead of focusing on his book, however, he decided to settle this matter
'I am not causing trouble...' She denied, rather dejected... the ghost took a seat on the chair in front of his, mimicking his gaze towards the moon.
"You are..."
'You tried to ignore me, Andrew! y-you're the only one I can talk to... and... y-you're the only one I can trust'.
"Why?"
'I don't know the whole truth... I don't know how Sasha died but I'm convinced it wasn't suicide... I started investigating because we were both aware of her bullying and were looking for ways to denounce Mariah without involving our families, more hers than mine. My father and mother both love me and they wouldn't stop for a second even if it meant going against the Belles for my sake... that's why I couldn't tell them. I didn't want to bring the buffet into some war against corrupt politicians. My father always told me politicians are the most fearful enemies to have' Sophia tried to explain herself but her words didn't reach Andrew.
"That doesn't answer my question, why do you trust me? you and I barely know each other... we didn't speak more than twice ever since I started studying on this campus"
'I don't know... you're genuine... you can see me and you speak to me. Who else would I trust if not you? I only wanted you to talk to me... if you hadn't ignored me, none of that would have happened!'
"So, it is my fault now?" He deadpanned
'It is! if a pretty girl talks to you, you answer!'
"So narcissistic, you're not that pretty, Sophia".
"Wh-? Huh?!" Sophia gasped in disbelief, was her beauty just underestimated? she, the number one school belle?
"I said you're not that pretty... your boobs are not that big either, you're c-cup at most" When Andrew thought about Beatrice or Mrs Maya, he thought that the beauty Sophia wasn't much to boast about. She may be the prettiest girl in this school, but it was just this school.
"What?! Y-You tactless bastard, don't say that to any girl ever!" There were even tears creeping up her eyes, if it was any other fat guy, she couldn't give less of a fart. But who is Andrew Mayers? there are likely no rich girls under twenty years old in the Bronx that weren't told by their parents to try to woo this boy... was it because he's handsome and hardworking? no... it was because of Archonte.
Be it as it may, for a girl proud of her beauty like her, this was a vicious blow... even as a ghost.
"What? you're a ghost so I can be honest with you at least, right? I'm a boy, you think I don't like butts or boobs? I just don't have the time".
"..."
"The time I can spend looking at boobs and butts, I'd rather study..." He said so, going back to his books. He was also disinclined to spend his hard-worked money with those money-hungry wenches, though that part he didn't say.
'... Andrew'.
"...?"
'I have a question, a very important one'.
"What is it?"
"You work in the McRonards branch behind Chinatown, don't you?~"
!!!
His pen fell from his hands and his head mechanically turned towards a smirking haughty Sophia.
'You're not a cashier, but I went there once with some friends and I caught a glimpse of someone in the kitchen that looked like you. At that time... I thought it wasn't possible... the heir of Archonte working in some run-down fast food shop" Sophia twirled her black hair and evaded his gaze as she explained herself.
"Y-You... when was this?" He couldn't believe that he was discovered despite taking so many measures. Working so far away from the Bronx, staying in the kitchen where no one could see, leaving at twelve midnight when the streets were almost empty and with all that, 'Sophia of all people still discovered me?!'
'It doesn't matter when it was. Now I see you with better light... and I understand... why you work so hard... you don't have it easy, don't you?'
"..." Andrew didn't know what to say, when he expected her to openly mock him, instead... Sophia sat back down and smiled lightly, "Why do you care?"
'N-Next time you go to your shift in McRonards, I will tell you... we may not be as different as I thought we were. Aside from that, there is something else I want to request from you, Andrew... this time it is serious'.
"What is it?" He was more curious to know what she was going to show him. He was waiting to know what her request was, the night had completely fallen and it was already time for him to pack up and head back home at 8:00 o'clock.
It was then that it all started.
'Please, help! Someone help me!'
Andrew lifted up his eyebrows, recognising this voice which he had heard the last few days on the campus, always during this time of the night. Contrary to him, Sophia had paled.
'It is Sasha... she's somewhere in this school, I need you to help me find her, Andrew!'
