2 weeks passed after the awkward conversation Luck had with Caroline

Luck attended multiple training sessions and also kept studying so he can stay on top of his class, during those 2 weeks Caroline had secretly moved to Destiny's house

Luck and Caroline had stopped hugging out together after what happened, because Caroline couldn't face him yet, despite Destiny's tries to make her talk to Luck and settle everything she continuously denied so Luck started hugging out with himself and occasionally with Floga, that happened when Floga's friends weren't around since they would have never allowed Luck into their group

In those 2 weeks Luck learned how to use the basics of all of his elements but elements such as Illusion and Destruction were more advanced from his other, during those 2 weeks Luck also had the time to focus on what happened back there, Luck had his suspicion but he never said anything, he didn't want to blindly accuse Caroline of liking him so he kept it to himself but when the 2 of them went to America Luck was convinced

Nonetheless, things were running smoothly for UMP, the 4 of them were about to launch the operation against the illegal cargo ship, but the operation still needed a plan and a bit of training beforehand so everything could run smoothly

"Good morning kids! Today we are taking a test so place an empty sheet of paper on your desk and close all of your books" A teacher said and that's what everyone did except one person, that one person was Caroline

'She has been skipping our home-classroom lessons and she only comes to the lessons if they are outside or in a class where we are not sitting close, it has honestly started to become annoying' Luck thought as he watched the empty seat of Caroline

After the test Luck wanted to speak to Caroline so they could set all of their problems apart and finally makeup after what happened, after the bell rang he ran to a place where he was sure he could find her, this place was non-other from the roof of the school and to nobody's surprise Caroline was there sitting and staring at the village from above

"Caroline, can we talk?" Luck asked her with a calm voice

Caroline looked quite cornered when he saw Luck come on the roof

"Talk about what?" She replied as she played with her hair

"Don't act dumb! This entire week we haven't even spoken a word to each other, not even a good morning or a goodbye, well that applies mostly to you since you always act like you can't hear me when I try to talk to you" Luck told her angrily, Caroline didn't respond

"See? You are doing it again? What will you gain by doing this?" Luck said as he approached her with swift steps

When Luck got right in front of Caroline's face she started looking at the ground and asked one question

"Do you have a "crush" on Destiny just because she looks like her sister?"

Luck didn't answer immediately since she was surprised by that question

"What do you mean?"

"Don't lie to me! I saw a photo of Hope and she looks like an older version of Destiny with longer hair, so tell me the truth!" Caroline said as she raised her head

"First of all Hope and Destiny don't look or act alike, and second of all don't ever compare them together! Just because they are sisters doesn't give you the right to compare them..."

Caroline didn't say anything she simply broke eye contact with Luck

"But who I like is beside the point, one day you told me that people like us should stay together but what happened to this philosophy? Did you become so lovestruck that your morals and thoughts about me changed?" Luck asked and before Caroline could speak up Luck grabbed both of her arms and pinned them in the protective cage around the rooftop

"Let me ask you one last thing! Why do you like me? Is it because I treat you like an actual human being rather than a demon? If that is the case then will you fall in love with anyone that treats you like that? Huh, Caroline?" Luck asked her with a scary look

"Let me go..." Caroline said with a weak and silent voice and before he had a chance to react Luck was dragged away from Caroline by Destiny

"What are you two doing here?" Destiny asked concerned when she saw Caroline's face

"Talking? Do you call that talking Luck? Look at Caroline's face, did you say anything bad to her?" Destiny asked with an angry gaze

"Just ask her, I'm sure she is going to tell you everything"

Luck said as he started walking to the exit but before he could leave Destiny grabbed his wrist

"You are not leaving until you tell me what you did"

Destiny told him but she didn't realize that she wasn't speaking to Luck but to a clone of him, Luck used the element of Illusion to become invisible and create a clone at the same time so he could get away from the rooftop

'I can't be bothered with them anymore, I'm constantly trying to make things up but all she does is ignore my tries and victimize herself'

Luck thought as he walked in the halls of the school, he was heading to his class and most specifically to Floga so they can plan a training session, since Floga's "friends" weren't at school the two of them could freely hang out

"Hey, Floga do you have a moment to talk?" Luck asked him as he walked up to his desk, Floga was trying to sleep on his desk

"Can't you see I'm busy? If it is about the training session then we can do it later" Floga said as he turned his head to the opposite side of Luck

"Are you serious right now?" Luck asked him

Floga then used a book to cover his ears

'One day this guy will act like a thug and the other like a kid, it honestly surprising to see' Luck thought as he saw the insistence of Floga to sleep

Suddenly a wave of mana stuck both of them, Floga stood up and Luck looked to his right where the board was hanged

"Did you feel that as well?" Luck asked the wide awake now Floga

"It came from outside, quick we have to check it out"

The two boys then ran outside and they sensed a big amount of mana focused on one place, that could only mean one thing, a mana zone was created, so the two of them quickly entered it and to their surprise, they saw a single tall and buffed man that was looking around, nobody knew what he was searching for, the man couldn't see Luck and Floga since they hid behind a small bush before entering the mana zone

"This guy is bad news, he must be an illegal drug dealer" Floga told Luck, he was whispering the whole time

"How do you know that?" Luck asked cluelessly

"It's not their first time coming to check the village, I have fought at least ten people in the past 4 weeks that school has started" Floga explained to Luck

'Did Floga manage to beat ten people on his own? Maybe I have underestimated him'

"Hey Luck snap out of it, and just do as I say, they know my face so if you walk up to him he will probably be confused" Floga told Luck so that's what he did

"Hey man what are ya doing here" The man said when he saw Luck

"I was just training my skill and our mana zones ended up intertwining" Luck told him with an innocent face

"Oh, I see..."

Before Luck could react the man launched an attack at him, Floga then came out of the bush and kicked him while boosting his leg with fire but he couldn't push the man back, resulting in his punch landing on Luck but thankfully it was a simple clone

The real Luck was behind him ready to strike him with a sword, but before the attack could land the man quickly turned around and punched the blade and breaking it in the process, his punch then was directed at Luck but he thankfully dodged it and counter-attacked with a mana enhanced attack on his ribs, the attack did no damage to him, the man then tried to uppercut Luck

'Use gravity and dodge, dodge DODGE!'

Luck thought as he used the element of space to reverse his gravitational pull and with the help of a light jump he was quickly launched away and was able to dodge the attack, Luck then used his element of space to gently land

"Haha ya kids are promising! I heard that ya both work for the UMP, how about ya help us out? Things will go way better for ya if ya do that" The man told them

They both were shocked by the power the man had so they couldn't even reply to him

"Hmm kids these days are all about disrespect, ya should start respecting ya elders a bit more" The man told them in his broken English

Before the man could say another word Floga launched himself with flames at him, he flew from his right side and kicked him with a boosted kick but the man easily blocked the attack, but Floga didn't stop the fire from coming out of his legs, Floga's legs resembled a jet's engine

"Ya have to be stronger than that kid!" The man screamed as he grabbed the leg of Floga

But before he could do anything bad to him Luck scratched the man's belly

"Oh ya a sneaky one" The man said as he dropped Floga, he then charged at Luck with killing intent, he tried to punch Luck but before he could Luck turned around and smiled

"You sure are an idiot"

He said before exploding, this Luck was a clone and with the element of Destruction he made the clone blow up, the explosion did some damage to the man but only because the explosion messed with his eyes

"Floga there is no way we can beat this guy so let's run" Luck told Floga as he started to run away, but before he could exit the gate the man quickly blocked the entrance with his speed, Luck then stopped

"If you were this fast then why didn't you kill us?" Luck asked defeated

"Because as I told ya I want to recruit ya so please try not to deny Lucky, me and yar father are such good fellas and I want ya to be my fella" The man said as he extended his hand

"What do you mean? I don't even know your name, plus I have no connections with my father so I don't care even if you were his lover" Luck told him as he slowly took a step back

"Don't talk like that about master" The man said as he got embarrassed

'Is this guy serious?'

"Luck get away from him" Floga yelled as he charged up an attack

"Oh ya seem like ya have a good attack" The man said as he got ready for impact

Floga then released his charged-up energy of fire at him in the form of a beam, the beam pushed him away and made him crash into a wall, his torso was burned from the attack

"Now ya talking kids! If ya have more than that show me, oh and boss's son if ya want to know my name is Daniel Jorjio" The man said as his muscles started to pump out of his body

"Hello there, I'm Floga Pyr or "The defender" for outsiders like ya!" Floga told him with a smile on his face

A huge battle was about to begin...
