[Prologue]

"... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23

History once records Axel Skyfall, The Demonic Heretic.

There are, however, two versions of the story regarding him. From The Canon Book; The Hero, and the false records written by a witch, Luxianne Serafell; Verum Satanae.

According to The Hero, Axel was a notorious heretic known for his crimes and evilness. According to the bishops themselves, Axel was truly the incarnation of evil known as Satan, Lucifer, or Beelzebub in flesh. He led an assault on a church with the devil's aid and created an evil group named The Blood Seraph. Their goals: causing chaos, robbing the innocents, pillaging kingdoms, and last but not least; learning and controlling unholy powers through magic and unholy spirits/demons.

The Holy Kingdom of Xatican endeavored to stop him, but their efforts came to naught as Axel Skyfall was regained his true malicious power and murdering innocents from around Western Land. The Holy Kingdom, under the authority and leadership of Arch Bishop Matthias Xandor Dietrich, sent his 12 Holy Warriors to stop Axel.

Axel, using his evil power, mercilessly decimated all the holy warriors. He then led a grand scale assault on the land using his hellish army, titling himself, The Dark Lord. The archbishop became desperate and faced Axel Skyfall, but the bishop’s endeavor came to naught.

Axel almost won by killing the current emperor, in which he already corrupted for so long to regain total control of the land and create a hellish paradise. Unknown to Axel, a young and brave warrior, Vixon Wildrow faced and defeated him, ending the terror once and forever.

Vixon brought an end to the conflicting kingdoms and by marrying the princess of Anguxia, he became the new emperor, leading Western Land in eternal prosperity and peace under the righteousness of God.

While portrayed as an evil figure in The Hero, Verum Satanae portrayed Axel differently.

According to Verum Satanae, Axel was a mere human; no more or less from us. He might be born and gifted with a powerful and dark spirit inside him, but he wasn’t evil. He tried his best, living to become the best blacksmith in Western Land.

Matthias, in turn, was the evil one. He practiced taboo and inhumane experiments for his personal gain, hoping to become a god. For that, he needed a bait; he needed someone to take the sins for his evilness while he played as a pious and innocent saint.

Axel was the perfect candidate with the dark spirit inside him. Matthias accused Axel and by using the authority he had, declared him a heretic. He painfully planted Axel The Mark of Cain, causing villain and hero; angel and daemon; living and dead to hunt him relentlessly.

Axel had no place in the kingdom, forcing him to live outside as an outlaw. To make the matter worse, a dark cult sought to control Axel after getting the information from Matthias. With Matthias’ experiments went awry, terrorizing Western Land, Axel formed a group; The Blood Seraph to help the smaller villages.

After knowing the truth, Axel tried to expose and stop Matthias, hoping to end the terror and finally getting accepted with his name cleared. Matthias went to meet the emperor, whom he had controlled for long, to gain the power he desired. At the exact moment, Axel, Vixon, and Luxianne arrived to stop Matthias.

Axel then used everything he had, even sacrificing himself for the entire world who hated him. Vixon saw this as a chance to make himself the emperor. By claiming he slew the heretic, Western Land would acknowledge him. Luxianne wrote Verum Satanae, but the empire, under Vixon’s order, banned the records and executed anyone who held the book, knowingly or not.

After Vixon's death, the records resurfaced but because none could confirm which was the truth and everyone who witnessed the event had also passed away; it was later concluded that the story of Axel Skyfall was a mere legend.
