Within the records of History, the emergence of a strange being is recorded:

"Oi! Johnny, I'm headin' out to grab a bite! Wanna come with?!"

"No can do, Stevie! Stuff to do, ain't there!"

"You're such a drag! I'll be off!"

The person called Johnny chuckled to himself, then returned to what he was doing. He looked at the clock and thought, "Time shouldn't function. How does it? It seems much like a paradox."

It was at this moment that a swarm of information found its way into Johnny's head. Time, such a simple yet complex concept. He looked around and found that Stevie was still leaving the room, albeit at a pace slower than that of a snail. The clocks hands were basically stationary, the birds frozen in mid-air. Cars on the Grand-Nolan Motorway, known in this world for having no speed limit, were moving at a pace that seemed like it was merely a single mile per hour. The process of a cloud separating was able to be studied. A rotten, decomposing rat's corpse in the laboratory owned by Johnny had stopped decomposing. When Johnny went to walk over to Stevie, everything regained it's usual pace, birds chirping, cars skidding and crashing, alongside a deafening noise that all of the people within a half-mile radius heard, like that of a distorted sound wave that had been amplified to ridiculous levels. Johnny stopped in his tracks, while Stevie had began to turn around with a look of shock. However, the sound emerged again, and everything slowed once more.

This was the birth of the first recorded Paradox. He was still alive today, many thousands of years into the future, and had gained much more control over these abilities. This is the basic premise of how his abilities were gained, or so he thinks, he is actually quite crazy after living for so long.

Many more Paradoxes appeared after him, specialising in so many different things. Stars, space, light, heat, waves, ripples, you name it. It is still unknown the event that triggered the beginning of the creation of Paradoxes, but one thing was clear.

Paradoxes, while seemingly impossible, are real. And they are going to become the apex predator.
