That is until she meets Jarin, a royal messenger who may hold the answers she has been looking for, answers that may also mean the end of the Paladai. But Jarin is not without secrets of his own. Growing up in the kingdom of Dacia, he is taught that Paladai are nothing but interfering interlopers, bullies, and murderers. While on a critical mission that could end the century war his kingdom has suffered through, he is rescued by the Paladai and forced to on a journey that may very well claim his life.
